iDorkosaurous_Rex Rei Uchikino birdkilla I agree but I also agree with giving a warning. Yeah, I think a warning is fair. Yesh, I have something to say. Even if they shouldn't need one. I guess we'll never know, because I forgot. Well sometimes people have similar ideas and it seems like plagerism. So a warning would be the best way to avoid baning people that didn't mean to copy someone's work.

Well, the way I see it as long as it's not exactly the same then it shouldn't be accused as plagiarism. You'd have no idea how many times J.K. Rowling has been sued for plagiarism. There are so many books out there about wizard schools. It's just a common idea, not necessarily plagiarism. So yeah, you're right. A lot of people have similar ideas. So if I don't see it as plagiarism but as a similar idea then I won't bother to even warn them.

There was a guy in my class that plagairized once. He almost got kicked out of school.

I don't know why I always have to be the nice guy about everything. well there are some members who haven't gotten to high school and started recieving the repeated plagerism lectures. Some people think that changing one line or a name is okay but its not. I love that you are making this clear. Everyone deserves the benefit of doubt. Though I would assume by the time they are my age they would've heard about plagerism a couple dozen times. At my school you have to hear about it every time they go over the sylabus. If you get caught you lose all your finacial aid and get blacklisted.

@Shadow: Someone copied a roleplay from a mod. Then tried to say that "they had permission". I guess we'll never know, because I forgot.

In our English class we each had to do a report on a different extermination camp and this one kid just plain out printed out the entire website page where the report was written BY SOME BODY ELSE and wrote his name at the bottom of the paper; not even trying to cover up the fact that he did that. He got 2 weeks in school :I

You go girl! Luckily it's never happened to me, but I like writing fiction stories (I'm still on Fan Fiction "training wheels"), so I know I would be HELLA pissed off if someone stole my work that I took MONTHS to create, dealing with writers block, juggling schedules, and all of that, to have some stranger come along and claim it as their own!
This rocks! Way to go!
