Anox glanced up after a while and gasped softly when he saw that there was another child there, he blushes a little and smiles shyly, lifting the book off the table enough to see the spine as he continues to read, not wanting to bother the other kid if he wanted to be left alone.

Aiden returned the smile with one of his own. He returned to skimming his book, but glanced over again when Anox lifted his book up. Oh, he was reading his favorite one. "That's a good one... have you read the one about the children in the forest?" He whispered quietly, not wanting to disturb anyone else in the library.

He blushes a little and clears his throat softly, "My Papa read it to me once..." he says quietly, looking up at the other child with a slightly nervous look, he was really very shy.

"That whole book is pretty good, it's my favorite." Aiden offered him another smile, more friendly than the last. "Do you like reading?" He knew it wasn't polite to interrupt someone from their book, but oh... he hadn't talked to anyone new in ages.

Anox nods, starting to open up a little more because this person seemed really nice. "I like reading... I have lots of books at home in my room." he says softly, still smiling.

"I don't... I mostly just get them from the library." Aiden nodded a little. He figured that was a benefit of having parents... someone that made money to buy books with. Aiden didn't have any of that, though. "Sometimes my roommate lets me borrow his though." He smiled again. Edmund's books were usually about gardening, but they were still pretty interesting.

"This is the first time i have ever been to a library..." he whispers loudly and then scrunches his nose and stands, walking over to the other boy's table. "My Papa is looking into getting me into some classes here... Is it fun?"

"Really? I pretty much grew up in the library." Aiden looked surprised. How had this kid never been to a library before? "Classes...?" Aiden thought on it for a moment. He hadn't yet attended one, or been told how to sign up for one. Maybe Edmund would know. Perhaps Mira would enjoy it, too. "I haven't had one yet, but I think it'd be fun... They have events here... they're pretty fun. My sister and I went to the spring ball they had with some friends." He smiled a bit. Aside from the panic at the end of the ball, it had been a pretty good night.

"I went to the egg hunt... Papa said that the school put that together." he says softly, smiling a little more as he scoots his chair up. "My name is Anox... What's yours?"

"Oh, I didn't go to that one. Mira and I thought it would be better to go dance." He nodded a bit. "I"m Aiden. Nice to meet you Anox." He leaned over a bit to offer his closest hand to Anox. The closest hand ended up being the one with the red glass-like stripes across the fingers. The stripes glinted a bit in the light from the reading lamps that were set up for readers.

He shakes his hand and then peers at the glass shards, "Ooh..." he breathes, looking at them interestedly and cocking his head with a smile.

"Oh, um..." Aiden took his hand back and stared at it for a moment. "My item makes my skin shine a bit." He nodded a little. "Watch this." A grin came to his face as he held his hand out. After a moment, a few shards of glass emerged from the palm of his hand. After another moment or two, the shards started to form into a tiny glass unicorn. "Here, you can have it." He offered it to Anox, still smiling.

"It's fine, I make lots of them all the time." Aiden shrugged his shoulders a little. "And I wasn't expecting anything in return."
(hahaa, that definitely looks like something Aiden would make.)

"Are you sure...?" he asks. The only other Meta who had given him anything was Gio, and Gio said they were best friends now. Did Aiden want to be his friend too? He swallows and smiles, holding the unicorn close "I'll keep it with all my special things."
