As Aakosir drifted to sleep, iofiel gazed at the empty sky, a crescent moon, surely not enough for transforming, and the previous forced-transformation had worn her out. Iofiel then drifted her gaze over to the sleeping Aakosir, and admired her. Someone that almost took the flying metal stone into her own body for her? Iofiel felt an incredible devotion to her, and she knew this bond would never be broken. Sighing, Iofiel slipped the flute into the large pocket of her kimono and fell fast asleep, right next to the the one to whom she owed her life. Before closing her eyes, Iofiel whispered, "thank you." and drifted off.

Aakosir slept peacefully that night and woke feeling well rested. She stretched and grabbed an apple from the basket. She didn't care for them, but she was hungry and needed something before the hunt.

Sensing how her packmate was up and stirring, Iofiel woke as well, rubbing her eyes and moaning when she moved. "Ugh. shifting yesterday was cool, but now I'm sorer than hell. Got anything else to eat but fruit?" she laughed, her eyes glinting. After being told there wasn't anything else, Iofiel grabbed an apple as well, and between bites, began a conversation. "What are we doing today? Going to see the humans?" Aakosir lifted her head, enraged.

Aakosir rubbed her temples. "After we hunt we can. There is a herd of elk south of here, still. They will do for a few days." She grabbed her knife and headed out the door. Hunts were always pretty quick and they were fast even in human form so this would be simple.

Elk? That was Iofiel's favorite! She transformed into her claws, her fangs. Maybe transforming wouldn't be a bad idea, but she wasn't sure. With her sharp wolf-objects in hand and mouth, she grabbed her bone made of bone and strut out, her braids forward and her tail swishing behind her.

Aakosir silently jogged through the forest. She stopped about a quarter mile from where the elk had last been and started to stalk forward. She could smell them, their scent was strong, so they were down wind. Perfect, She thought as she started to creep forward. She motioned for Iofiel to stay close behind her while she searched for the weakest, but not the youngest. Two of them could easily take down a buck, but there was only one in this herd. She spotted her prey and started to move in with silent stealth.

following the same stealthy pattern, iofiel tip-toed through the foliage, until Aakosir gave her the signal. Without screaming, barking, or any other noise-making, the two leaped right in front of the buck, Iofiel exposing her fierce fangs, claws, and bone-knife. Soon enough, they leaped on top of the buck, breaking it's neck and piercing its chest. Iofiel laughed after they had tasted its meat. "Yes. Victory is sweet." and they dug in.

Aakosir sighed as she tasted the meat. She preferred it raw, like her wolf counterpart. It just wasn't right when cooked. After she got her share she stood, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. "We can take the rest back to the underground storage. It is still cool enough in there for it to last." Aakosir grabbed the hind leg and cut off any extra that wouldn't survive well. "Let the scavengers have what we don't."

Sam lounged about, waiting for Anna to get out of school. He smiled to himself, thinking about how smart Anna was now that she had been through school..... wow too many times for him to count. But that was the upside of a werewolf. He had the day off for now, with not many construction jobs open this time of year. At least he got paid well and stored up enough money to where they were considered rich. He hated flaunting money, so he bought this apartment for them both. Sam looked at the clock and noticed that it was three o'clock and went to go pickup Anna from school. After about ten minutes he had Anna back at the house. "So, now that your off school for the weekend, want to go run in the forest with me? Or whats left of hit anyway..." He said the last part under his breath.
Anna smiled and nodded. "Sure big brother! I haven't ran in a while. Well not like I would normaly. The girls at school thing I'm a freak for lifting so much and being to outrun them all. I just barely got drug tested too. Lucky for me Im so cute!" Anna batted her eyes as they went to the local forest and stripped, putting their cloths safely away before shifting. After that they were off like two bullets, playing tag through the trees.

Aakosir stored her elk leg in her cool underground dugout and closed the wooden lid. She walked back outside, but didn't see Iofiel. She called, but heard no answer. She started to search, but still could not find her hours later. Her scent was all over the forest so Aakosir could not pick up her most recent trail.

Sam stopped suddenly, forcing Anna to skid nearly into a tree. He smells two other wolves in the forest. Sam growled protectively, looking all around for the wolves. When he finely found at least one of the wolves he smelled, Sam lowered his head and gave in a glare that would kill kittens.
Anna was having brilliant fun until Sam got all protective. What was it this time? A large rabbit? She glanced over and did a double take. It was one of them! Anna bounded over to the new wolf and was nearly bouncing inn place as she did a hasty wolf greeting. What a great day!

Iofiel, wandering through the forest, heard a call from the cave where Aakosir and her stored food and slept. It was Aakosir. Just as Iofiel began making her way back from near the human shelter, she smelled two other wolves. New scents. One male? 32, maybe. One female? One year younger than Iofiel herself was, or at least she thought so. Excited, Iofiel began running around, bouncing off trees, doing backflips, and so on, until she heard a growl. A male wolf, sounding protective, sounded not only 20 feet from her. "Hello? Is anyone there? There's no need to be afraid." and she proceeded toward where the growl came from, and as she approached the space, she saw two wolves: one, large and masculine, with a grey color, and one female, with much more lean characteristics, brown. with blazing blue eyes. Iofiel, human, gasped, her braids twitching. Her wooden flute, hanging from her neck, banged against her necklace, making a thump sound. The grey wolf turned his head.

Aakosir heard the growl from where she was. She took off running as Iofiel's voice came next. Her forest smelled different. The animals were afraid. Afraid of what? Then she smelled the two foreigners. Snarling, Aakosir leapt into the air and changed. The magic swirled around her body as she changed forms. She landed on four paws and took off.

Iofiel sensed that Aakosir had shifted. Just as she did, Iofiel hid her clothes and shifted as well, snarling in defense and tilting her ears in curiosity. As she approached the strangers, she was hit from the side, being forced to the ground and held down by four paws. Prying her eyes from their tight closure, Iofiel let out a large breath as she saw it was only Aakosir and her pink-tipped silver fur. "Goodness, you frightened me!" Iofiel whispered as she was released, shaking out her fur into its normal order. Aakosir gave her a stare, and Iofiel flinched as she made eye contact. They both then shifted their gaze through the undergrowth toward the strangers, who almost saw them, gazing around. Iofiel held her breath as the large grey wolf's amber eyes skimmed the forest where she and Aakosir were standing.

Sam thought he had heard something, and not only that, he could have swore he saw something too. He quite growling letting his ears range out for any sounds that might indicate a threat. Anna whimpered beside him. Sam nuzzled her, telling her that she should not be afraid. Not with him there to protect her. Sam looked out into the brush again, fighting to keep from growling. He could smell them now and focused on the bush they were hideing in. Sam looked straight at the two, relaxing his stance as he saw they were female. Male wolves would have been a problem.
Anna saw that Sam was relaxing, but still whimpered a bit, glanceing at the bush and back at him. She hated not knowing what was there. But once she smelled them, she darted behind him. She peeked out from behind Sam carefully, now smelling that they were not male, but still kept behind Sam.
