Europa laughed and nodded, ruffling Pippin's hair.
"Good!" she replied before looking around herself. You know, this place really was pretty big. It was pretty too! It was maybe even bigger than that one big room in the museum with the circle-y ceiling.
"Yeah. Gotta have a lotta room to dance, though! Ya don't want people runnin' into each other!"
Anthony laughed politely and nodded, peering back up at the flamboyant decorations. It was something like a cross between a high school Valentine's Day dance and an upper-class ball. A bit odd, perhaps, but not unpleasant.
"I'm usually not one for celebrations like this. I've always had to go alone, but perhaps with a lovely woman to dance with...?" He smiled and pointedly looked to Celi. Was this flirting? He really couldn't be sure.

"CODY! Stop it!" Ary snapped, working to unlock the chain attached to Cody's foot. Well, she WOULD if he would stop straining against it.
Cody backed up a little to add some slack to the chain, still gritting his teeth and tensed to the core. He could see Edes and EXACTLY what he was doing! How DARE he do such a thing?! Edes... Edes... EDES WAS HIS!!!
"You're... Free?" Ary started, staring as Cody stormed off at the slight 'c***k' of the chains. She watched warily as he made a beeline for Edes and Kyler, ready to intervene if a fight started.
"Hi Edes. Been freed for the moment," Cody explained, hiding his anger and irritation as he got close. Only his eyes gave him away as they shot daggers at Kyler. Figuratively, of course.

Kyler smiled a little as he heard his friend ask him to dance with him, but shrunk down once he heard Cody come by. "Um.. Hi... Cody..." The little preteen gulped. Kyler stepped back a little.

Celi smiled at Anthony, turning fully towards him, "Is that an invitation?" she asked, rather flattered by the man's polite behavior. She took his hand gently, as to not startle him as she met his gaze. "Because I'd love to if it was..."
Pippin had looked over at his mother, seeing the exchange between his own mother and Europa's. He thought for a moment, trying his hardest to remember how everyone at his mother's parties acted and what they said. After a moment he looked up at Europa, having understood her sentence but suffering from a bit of child- forgetfulness he chose instead to say, "Ma'am, wouldja like to dance wit me?"
The young boy was fairly charming, bowing as he had seen so many others do at his very own house and holding out his hand so Europa could take it if she did so choose. He had seen others dance, and just hoped that he could mimic their moves... if he could even reach Europa's shoulders!

For a moment, Anthony stopped breathing. It was startling enough that Celi had taken his hand, but she had caught his gaze as well. He would admit that briefly he must have looked a bit struck, but he was a man of quick recovery. He closed his mouth and gave Celi a little tilt of the head and an arched brow.
"It is indeed," he said, lifting her hand to lead her to the floor. It had been an invitation, after all, and his nerves were dying down.
Europa giggled and nodded at Pippin. Ma'am? His momma was a 'ma'am'. She was a 'miss' at best! Either way, she took her little friend's little hand and started for the floor.
"I don't really know how."

Well, this was getting better with every second~ Now the love of his life was finally freed, and he pulled away from Kyler. He couldn't see the hostility in Cody's eyes, for his owner were clouded for the moment with complete adoration and love. Normally, he wouldn't be so blind, but as a newly made couple, he was very affectionate, like a puppy who met his new master~
"Cody~" He spoke sweetly, wrapping his arms around him. "I'm so glad that you're out! How are you feeling? Do you need anything?"

Cody merely smiled happily as Edes clung to him like an adoring puppy. It was just too cute for him to handle. "Hey there and I'm fine, thanks for asking. So, shall we dance now that the music has been fixed and I have been freed?" he asked, glancing over at Kyler for a moment. HA! Now Kyler had no chance at stealing away HIS Edes! If he had been part pride, he was sure he would have grinned like a cat who had caught the canary.

Edes made a little face.. He had already offered Kyler to dance... He couldn't.. Well.. Suddenly change his mind... He'd hurt his dear friend..
But.. If he didn't change his mind, the love of his life would be upset with him..
Oh what to do.. What to do...
This was clearly stressing him out.. "I.. Uh.. I um.. I-I have to use the bathroom!!!" He near shouted, rushing away and making a mad dash for the restroom. Sure, he'd have to come out at some point, but.. For now, this'll do..

Celi looked at Anthony with soft eyes, "So, I hope you've been doing well Anthony." she said while they approached the floor, placing her hands gently on him once they were finally on it. The music was nice, nothing too harsh and perfect for a nice slow dance at the moment. She stood close, but making sure to respect his personal space at the same time, waiting for his stance to mimic hers so they could begin.
"Neither do I, but it don't hurt ta try does it?" the boy said, looking up at the older girl with a smile of great admiration. He had grown quite attached to Europa, viewing her as a mentor of sorts. He just wanted her to be happy, and it seemed like him mother was happy with dancing so maybe it would make Europa happy too! Or at least he hoped.
"You look really pretty, so nobody will even notice if ya mess up because they'll notice yer pretty first!" he complimented.

Anthony took Celi's hand without hesitation, but there was obvious flagging before he placed a hand high on her hip. This was the closest he had ever been to a female he was attracted to, either by his own choice or theirs. It was...very pleasant. He began to move slowly with the music, a smile lighting his lips again. He was graceful and fluid in movement. He had had classes as a young man.
"I have been indeed," he replied, "Very well. And you?" He gave Celi a little twirl before falling back into proper posture, just a bit closer. What a rush!
Europa turned a bit red, but it fled quickly and she just shook her head. So maybe Pippin was the exception to the "boys are stupid" rule. It was just too bad that he was so young. They wouldn't grow up together.
"Thank you," she said simply, having nothing better to say. She looked to her father and mimicked the posture of the woman he was with (altering slightly for height difference) before beginning to move.

Kyler became quiet as he heard that Edes' voice became loving towards Cody. And the worst thing was, Cody asked Edes to dance with him! So now he feels very awful and the poor blind boy sat back down, and started to cry. Tui and La started to try to comfort him. Kyler's head went down, and quietly whispered to himself, "He doesn't love me... No one does..."

Cody watched as Edes left, wondering just what had gotten into him. Did the sloth kid really think he would be upset over him dancing with Kyler first because he asked first? Well... A little, but that just meant he had Edes the rest of the night and the stupid brat didn't.
Woah, did he- Cody shook his head and looked over at Kyler and frowned slightly. "I have never heard such untrue words before in my life. Your mom or dad love you and your brother does too. Edes thinks of you as a good friend, as well as most other people you've probably met. Just because he doesn't have strong feelings for you doesn't mean nobody likes you," he said quietly, feeling a little sorry for the kid. Just a little.

Ilyrosa zoomed out of the car, wearing a knee-length red dress and short sleeves so she wouldn't overheat from running around too much. She completely bypassed Ary by the door and skidded to a halt as she entered the room to gaze in awe at the largeness of it and all the sparkly things!
"Why do I even bother driving her when she could bloody run here in the same amount of time?" Damon muttered, walking up to the building at a far slower pace than his daughter. He had to admit though, he looked pretty damned sexy in his suit. Completely opposite to his usual attire but hey, if he looked good in it then it was alright with him.
"Why yew cwying?" Ilyrosa asked, prodding the knee of the boy with the strange feathery octopus legs-wings-thingies. After deeming the room uninteresting and completely not noticing Pippin nearby, her attention was immediately drawn to the two older kids. One of which, crying and looking absolutely miserable. "Hey, did yew make him cwy? Cause dat's not vewy nice!" she said, glaring darkly at Cody of whom shook his head. Well, that was good enough for her.

Kyler's head raised a bit, "But... But you don't... I can tell by the sound of your voice..." He sniffled and wiped his eyes with his tuxedo sleeves, "Ever since I first met you... Your voice was deep and dark to me..." Tears were pouring down the kind boy's cheeks. Tui raised herself to inspect the new kid coming up on them. She didn't seem that bad. La kept comforting Kyler by rubbing his shoulder. Kyler's ears twitched as he heard a new voice. His eyes moved over to the direction, but he quickly closed his eyes, and continued to cry.

Celi did her best not to giggle like a young school girl, "Oh my! You dance so well my dear~" the woman complimented as she was twirled before answering Anthony's question, "I've been doing quite well of course. Pippin's always a wonderful boy after all, just as I'm sure Europa is."
The young woman stepped slightly closer, intrigued by the grace the man had as they danced, impressed by each step. He had obviously had practice.
Pippin observed the others as well, swallowing hard before he placed his hand on Europa's hip as her father had done with his mother. He suddenly became slightly panicked! How was he going to twirl her!? She was taller than he was, and he wasn't sure if he'd be able to get his arm over her! Oh well, maybe he could avoid it and just step like some of the others were doing, that might work? Right!? He certainly hoped so!
"See? I'm not vewy good at this." he laughed, hoping to make her feel better about her own skills.

Cody frowned. "That isn't entirely my fault. I'm of greed, so when I saw you being all buddy-buddy with my friend, I couldn't help but be hostile. I'm possessive, its how I am," he replied, yelping in pain as a tiny foot collided with his shin.
"Not nice! Apowogize!" Ilyrosa growled, crossing her arms across her chest and tapping her foot like she had seen her father do on numerous occasions. Cody just stared at the little girl, rubbing his shin. "For what? You kicked-Alright, alright! I'm sorry Kyler," Cody said hurriedly, recognizing that wrathful look in her eyes. For a kid, she certainly packed a punch.
Satisfied, Ily lightly petted the weird feathery tentacle and grabbed onto the older boy's sleeve. "No be sad now, kay? I dance wiff yew so meanie boy no be meanie t' yew," she offered, giving Cody the darkest glare she could muster. Weren't older kids supposed to be nicer anyways?
