I'm a normal person who just guards. Character Power/Ability: Control of "Qi", Chinese Martial Arts Stage Designation: 4 Weapons/Artifacts: N/A  Personality: Hong Meiling is very loyal, always willing to do her job...albeit she is a bit lazy, napping on the job and reading Remilia's manga. Very diligent in her martial arts training, though. Very human like, as well, and willing to chat with humans while on the job. Strengths: No weak points, fairly versitile, skilled in martial arts Flaws: Not the strongest youkai out there, doesn't focus on a single power Likes: Her martial arts training, napping at noon, manga Dislikes: Being called 'Kurenai Misuzu', disappointing her mistriss. Red Cannon - Meiling charges her fist with red-colored Qi, then punches diagonally up into the air in front of her, firing the ball of Qi about 10 feet out.
Descending Flower Slam - Meiling leaps into the air, and delivers a powerful, rainbow-colored Qi-charged Axe Kick.
Yellow Tremor Step - Stops the ground, sending out a yellow-colored blast of Qi along the ground towards the enemy. Spellcards: Colorful Sign [Rainbow Wind Chime] (Level 2) - Meiling twirls around, rainbow Qi twisting around her in a colorful tornado about as tall as her, dealing damage to those she touches with her Qi. While not that strong, Meiling is able to move around(albeit slowly).
Chi Sign [Star Pulse Burst] (Level 3) - Meiling gathers together a great amount of Blue Qi, and the proceeds to make a large sphere of it before firing it at the enemy.
Strike Sign [Great Peng Fist] (Level 4) - Meiling charges up her Qi in her fist, the delivers a powerful upward punch(similar to Red Cannon) to the enemy, and unleashes the Qi in a burst, sending the enemy flying into the air with a blast of colorful light.
Flowery Sign [Colorful Light Lotus Flower Palm] (Level 6) - Meiling charges forwards, and thrusts her palm into the enemy, dashing past(even though it looks like through) her opponent before striking a badass pose while the enemy takes great damage as colorful lights burst from the striking point in the form of the light spectrum, before exploding in a burst of Qi. Not much is really known about her before that, though it is believed to be that Remilia saved her(from some fate unknown) and Meiling has felt indebted to Remilia since. She dutifully watches the gate...unless she's napping or reading manga. Sample Post: Quote: [Hong Meiling: SDM: Gate] "..." Hong Meiling. "..." Guardian of the gate to the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She was used to this by now. "Sakuya-san! I wasn't napping! I swear! Really!" Of course, she was also used to pleading to Sakuya, who kept forgiving the gate keeper. As Sakuya walked away and into the mansion to finish her cleaning, Meiling looked up into the sky, smiling. Yes, today was definitely going to be a good day. And then she pulled out a manga she had borrowed from Remilia, and flipped through the pages, giggling every-so-often as she did so.

Clothes - Wears a pink two-tailed hat with many amulets, which hides her ears. Wears a blue and white robe similar to Yukari's in later series, with white designs down the blue front part.

Cell Phone - Must I explain? One of four people who have one in Gensokyo. Three are Chen, Yukari, and Suika (Though she really doesn't know how to use it).
Personality: Ran is Yukari's shikigami. She is very loyal to Yukari (As expected of a Shikigami), doing basically any of the jobs for her that she can. She also acts as not only the master of her shikigami, Chen, but also as Chen's mother figure. She's very caring and protective of Chen. Overall, she is intelligent and quick witted...but not enough to keep up with Yukari's schemes.
Strengths: Very Physically strong (Though not on Oni level) | Very good with black magic
Flaws: Protective of Chen like a mother, which doesn't always encourage logical thinking | Tails still show up in any transformation.
Likes: Chen, working for Yukari.
Dislikes: People who would bother Yukari and/or hurt Chen.
Fears: Losing either Chen or Yukari.

Bio: Was once the Queen of all beast Youkai, but was made into Yukari's Shikigami. Later she adopted Chen as her own Shikigami. This is about all of the important stuff.

Ran Started down the intruder in Mayoghiga. "What business do you have here?" That was all it took to scare them off, as they went running the other way. With a sigh, Ran Called out to Chen. "Chen!! CHEEEEEEEEEN!! Where are you?! You're supposed to be helping me set up for Yukari Evening meal!!" Looking around and listening, Ran heard no response. "Where could that girl have gotten to?" With a sigh, she finished up the dish she was working on, and pulled out her cell phone to call Chen.
It rang for a little, then it was picked up. Before Chen could even ask whether it was Ran or Yukari, Ran asked Chen "Where are you?"

Personality: Kaida is whimsical and direct. She tries to live out each day like it was her last, though sometimes it can be at the expense of others. She doesn't prefer to be feminie because she thinks it's restricting--however she respects everyone's choice to act the way they wish. Once she trusts someone and gains their trust she's a firm friend. She can be devoted and self sacraficing but not many believe this to be true because she seems so playful and capricious. Though she likes to kid around, she knows when to be serious (but tries to sass it up if the situation is appropriate). Spellcards: Dragon Strike(level 3) - Kaida can set the steel tip of her whip on fire when she uses it
Flame Thrower (Level 4) - Kaida can create fist-sized orbs of fire and throw them a distance of 15 feet
Bio: Kaida has very little to make note of as far as her past goes. She was born outside of Gensokyo and lived with close family and friends in the modern world. She eventually grew weary due to the lack of magical influence and sought a better place to live. One night she somehow managed to dream her way into Gensokyo and quickly adapted to her new home. Sample Post: Quote: "Hey, Haru! Cut it out!" Kaida grabbed the pebbles at her side and began throwing them up at her brother. He was sitting above her in the peach tree, dropping overly ripe fruit on her. The mushy spheres spat juice on her as they landed, making her hair sticky. "Well, quit your sleeping and do what you came out here to do. Ma wants those peaches." Haru grinned, hanging upside down on the limb, his legs bent over it. "I wasn't sleeping!" Kaida argued, throwing more pebbles, "I was enjoying the breeze." "So that wasn't snoring I heard? Or maybe that breeze was your own flatulance--augh!" A larger sized rock met Haru's side and bounced off. He winced and rubbed where she'd beamed him before climbing down out of the tree. "You sure are rude." "You sure are whimpy." Her brother murmured in a high pitched voice in poor imitation of Kaida before saying, "Yeah-yeah, just get the peaches and finish the rest of your chores or dad will be mad." "What's he going to do? Beat me with his walker?" Kaida snorted, resting back against the tree again. Haru suddenly grew solemn. "They are getting older, you know . . ." Kaida sighed, softening. "Yeah . . . I know." They were dragons, but even dragons didn't live forever. It had probably been years since her father had been flying. Her mother was still as spry as ever, but even she was slowing down. That's why she moved back to the farm. She and Haru were going to take care of them until it was finally time. Whenever that time was, she would be there. At least she thought she would.

Personality: Ran is mathematically keen, and a rational thinker. She attempts to act as the voice of reason for Yukari, however, often she plays the role of the oppressed servant. Busy with keeping up the chores that Yukari sets her with while sleeping, Ran is usually balancing work and taking care of Chen, whom she does not trust to perform any help with working. Ran cares deeply for her Shikigami, and acts as a motherly figure to her. Ran is usually a calm and balanced shikigami, who continues to vigilantly attempt to keep order and reason.
Strengths: Powerful and well balanced, resorting to black magic and Shikigami Rituals to fight.
Flaws: Her care for Chen, and her slavery to Yukari both being a distraction. Animalistic with the use of her abilities. Somewhat frenzied.
Likes: Fried Tofu, and her Shikigami, Chen.
Dislikes: Oppressive hard work, Being left in the dark on Yukari's schemes.

Bio: Ran was a powerful Shikigami, now owned by Yukari to do her personal bidding. Though Ran's powers are slightly dampened, she is still able to maintain her own Shikigami, even though she herself is a Shikigami for Yukari. Ran's history before becoming a Shikigami is unknown, and for the most part, not much is known about her at all.
