((Pfft. Then instead of things getting done you get them done, incorrectly)) Panzerfaust glared at the pup and the other he disregarded. Fools they were, and foolish he was to let the other traitor go freely... but he knew his place in the pack. These didn't it seemed.
He stalked forward, calmly and non-hesitatingly, noting the way the fool crowded around the young whelp. "Know your place, before I make you." Panzerfaust whispered. He wouldn't back down now, not when others had dared to step out of place.
"You young whelp go where you aren't to. You speak when you aren't spoken to. You would rather stay in the den you aren't to be and watch traitors weaken us. You speak of hypocrisy, but you do nothing a brother should. I at least know my place. I know the traitor is out there but it's not my place to go against a god."
Panzerfast whispered, "I know my place here. You don't. Learn it soon before I make you."
Zelsius looked between the the two he'd disregarded to the brother he knew was conflicted. He was content with the way Panzerfaust held himself, knowing he could have raged with the way he felt about the traitor. Zelsius moved to Panzerfaust's side, feet firm against the earth.
"I agree brother," Zelsius whispered. "You seem to forget your place. We act when commanded. We feed upon the weak. We devour their flesh. We do as our God tells us, to do otherwise, is against our traditions."
Zelsius spoke more, "And we do not presume to think that we can read our God's mind and act without his permission."

(Posting order would be great but at the same time we don't want this rp to drag on for months waiting for someone, not that anyone would but still. I'm up for order though.)
Pleased Aka turned to his brother. Noting with approval the loyalty Okeetee seemed to have for their god...no, Panzerfaust was right, their past god. Typically no one spoke to him, a fact Aka both accepted and resented, he was young, but he was useful! Why would none of the others see it? He was young and naive to the ways to which he should follow but he was ready and willing to learn and to do what was asked of him. Brooding he stalked over to his old den-mate, about to speak to him about his opinion of the matter when he heard the snarl of the other adolescent among them.
Was he truly that big of a fool!? Sure Aka had spoken out of turn, not uncommon for one so yet unaccustomed to pack life, but never would he dare say such things to one obviously more experienced. Still, loyalty commanded he do something to defend his brother, yet that same loyalty demanded he flank his superior.
With conflicting loyalties at hand he glared in the direction the fight had started and stayed where he had placed himself. Instead he spoke over to the foolish adolescent who had caused the trouble. "Brother you don't know what it is you say. We aren't experienced enough to question those who have worn the cloak longer then the three of us have been in the care of these brothers. Just stand down and accept what is happening." Yes he was being slightly hypocritical as he had just moments before questioned those same brother's, but such is youth.

Xihuitl only laughed under his mask, they were all bickering. This alone could tear the pack apart. Some would see themselved fit to lead, while others would wait for their god. He could see it already happening, they would divide when they all should stand strong.
"Brothers, if i may interject. We shouldn't be bickering amongst ourselves, we are family, the brotherhood is our lives and we should do well to keep it breathing." He walked towards the front of the pack, giving a kind face to the whelps, even thought they had spoken out of place they were the future of this pack and did have some say. "Rummy has obisiouly taken place as leader, so let him lead us. If our origional god should return then let them fight for the position to lead." He felt very confident in his words, he did not want this pack to crumble without strong leadership.
"Rummy, take your place s god and decided how you want to rebuild your pack, just do not let unneeded bloodshed come from this." He looked towards his red brother. "And all who deny him should feel the teeth of his brothers" With that he sat down towards the front of the group, looknig towards Rummy.

Aphyon lifted his head as the call of the Brotherhood rang out through the darkness. It had been awhile since he had heard it, but he supposed it should be of no surprise. Without any hesitation, he made his way towards the ancestral meeting grounds, quietly joining his brothers. Rummy had a point with his words. These past few months the pack had been cracked, on the brink of falling apart, without someone to direct them. But judging the sharp remarks a few of his brothers made towards one another, this whole ordeal may just shatter things as well. He thought over everything that was going on, while awaiting to see if anything new would come up as well. With the amount of time that had gone by, their old God and his weapons could very well never return. If they do, however, and Rummy has taken his place, blood will be shed for sure. But he believed that after practically abandoning them all for as long as he did, the old God would have to earn his place once more.

"Never once was I questioning Rummy taking the place of our late god. By all means, at least someone did. I meerly state what it sounds like to my ears. My own observations. You can either take them, deal with what mistakes are made, as I make my own and accept them aswell-" begrudgingly- "or have your furr in a bunch." Dustiel had always been bold with his oppinion and actions. He'd grown up no differently.
"When there is no god is when we should have all stood together stronger. united closer than ever. I think that's what he meant, guys." Avidimi tried to explain for the youth who wasn't as good with words and emotional appeal, evidentally. "We all in some way shape or form deviated from that. Maybe not all of us physically, and maybe some physically but not mentally, and vice versa...but between now and then,..we all sinned against our pack." Avidimi looked...somewhat ashamed.

Satoru had the unfortunate luck of being thrust into a minor uproar, yes, but he was taking things in swing as he always did. Still needing to acclamate himself into Brotherhood, he had taken to being in the shadows of shadows, the observant pair of green eyes above a dully shining pelt; such fur coloration made him doubt if he would ever truly be taken in, for wasn't the Brotherhood all about secrecy and staying hidden? His pelt practically screamed for the very opposite! so for several weeks at least Sato had not conversed with very many of his soon-to-be brothers, instead trying to learn the ins and outs of the clan.
Yet he was perplexed to find that some faces he had glimpsed at were no longer there, replaced by many more that seemed to crawl from the very woodwork of the forest, intimidating him - even fellow adolescents! He hadn't thought to think that there would be peers here, but that was simple-minded Sato for you.
A huddle of wolves caught his attention after a short while of walking and finding most of the other areas deserted, and he blinked owlishly in curiosity. What was going on? Sato was very out of the loop politically, and thus the snatches of conversation he heard made little sense until he actually put forth the effort of thinking, at which point he docked his ears with a tiny frown. Danel had left? Oh dear . . . Spotting his first friend Elapse at the edge of the crowd, he quietly crept over and settled beside him, wagging his tail in silent hello but deciding against speaking lest he interrupted someone. First impressions were a must to be good! Besides, his opinion would not matter very much, the young one thought, for he was the latest recruit and had not known the alpha - former alpha? - and consequentially he would not be a good candidate on forming an opinion on the matter.

Rummy listened to the bickering thoughtfully, though his face expressed nothing. He would never let an opinion go unheard, but he wasn't one who believed all opinions were correct. Some were very, very wrong.
The young Dustiel had a point, that the splitting up of the pack could be construed as a betrayal, but this meeting would do nothing if its purpose were to point out and punish. Actions during this leaderless period would be remembered, but now was not the time to act on them.
First, however, he reassured Okee. "Of course," he lied, "if Danel returns it would only be right that he take his place as god, when he brings back the pelt of the traitor." It was another careful step on the edge of treason. Of course Danel could still be alpha -- assuming he accomplished his mission. Rummy felt sure that scene would not play out any time soon.
He stepped forward to stop the argument. "Dustiel," he said, reminding him carefully that he was too young to yet be a brother, unadorned by the red symbol, "we are a pack of males. I would be more concerned if we did not wander frequently, for it is our nature." He said it with pride. "But we have all remembered the pack song and returned to it. We are not here to cast shame, Brother Avidimi," he added.
He nodded to Xihuitl. "I will lead this pack," he said, "if the pack will allow it." He brought himself up to his full height. It was customary, when a new alpha came to power, that any who wished to challenge him to a fight, either to gain the position themselves or merely to test his strength could do so. Although conditions being what they were, Rummy was unsure if all the members even remembered those traditions.

"Understood" Dustiel replied. He'd fully expected the reprimand, although it was..gentler than he thought he'd get. The adolescent had not, however, expected to be defended by Avidimi,...if you could call it that. Dustiel often wondered what made the older male fit to be a Brother. 'In times like these,...maybe we'll see. Loyalty alone does not a brother make.' Or so he'd been told.

Panzerfaust watched as the God he'd newly accepted watched and heard everything, none of his expressions changing. Deep deep down, he was scared it meant the God was upset with him. It had hurt him to feel like he had let down his Brothers and his God, all of whom always meant everything to him, except for the traitors of course. Panzerfaust watched the God and noted how well he kept to tradition. Whatever doubts he may have had about Brother Rummy being the God was washed away with how true he held.
"You already know my position here on this." Panzerfaust nodded, and watched to see if anyone was willing to pit themselves to fight for the power or if they wanted to test him.
Zelsius watched and listened, nothing more than he expected happened. He knew of Rummy's skills, and knew that it would've been foolhardy of him to try and test his strength.
"I only have the one question, will you leave the task of dealing with the traitor to Danel?" Zelsius asked, "Or will you too do something about him?

Xihuitl looked around the bunch, and then wondered who would become the new betas, and gammas. Who would be moved around, he thought of them all fighting to get hte spots. He wold never fight his brothers, it was against the ways of their pack, they were all about brotherhood.
"Who will become your new betas? Since both have left with Danel" It would most likely go to those who were more involved with the pack as a whole, or those who were closest to Rummy. It was fair, the weapon and the right paw were closest to Danel from the start.

((Eyes are still healing from surgery, but I'm keeping up as best I can. My boys are certainly still paying attention. ^^ ))
When arguments seemed about to erupt, tensions building among the more outspoken brothers, Fallyn's behavior shifted in the opposite direction. Between the raised voices and hostile postures being taken, the ocean-colored male began shifting his feet uneasily, worried what may happen if fighting were to break out. He'd be first to go. He knew it. Too many hated or resented his mere presence. What was he doing here? Why had he come?
It was ingrained in his very instincts to answer the call of the pack, he knew that deep down. However, did it also mean he had to stay here? Especially if hostile attentions turned in his direction? Flight would seem the better option than fight...maybe he'd not been noticed here in the back...maybe he could slip away while the others argued over details with Rummy...
Marrok was still paying attention to the discussion, with little to add himself, but Fallyn's increased fidgeting was also fighting for his focus. Raising one eyelid, he watched the former Heir, with a mix of concern and amusement, only guessing at what could be going through the other male's mind. He had a general idea at least. It was fairly obvious, really.
Seeking to ground his 'friend' before he called further attention to himself...as well as keep him from running off like a fool...Marrok smirked and discretely planted a paw solidly on the stubby remains of Fallyn's tail.
Fallyn nearly leapt out of his fur, but thankfully didn't make a noise in the process. He whirled on Marrok with a glare, fangs bared until the other removed his paw with a chuckle. "...the hell was that for?!?" he practically hissed silently. Still, he seemed less likely to run at the moment, than bite Marrok for the action.
Mission accomplished. Grinning, his tail swishing slightly behind him, Marrok whispered back, "You seemed distracted. Thought you should probably be paying attention, buddy." He ignored the exasperated look from Fallyn, turning his own attentions back to the gathering.
Normally satisfied enough to go with the flow of things, rather than try to divert the stream himself, Marrok would have normally sat back and let the others' decide things. However, this was an important pack matter, and while he had little to say, he was going to offer what little he had.
Marrok lifted his voice, addressing the crowd with his own opinion, "I have no arguments against Brother Rummy stepping up to lead the pack. He is at least as capable as any other to take the position, and I believe that time will be the true test of whether he is the most worthy. If he fails, it will become obvious soon enough, and if he succeeds, then we shall prevail over the darkness once more. Times are tumultuous as is, and we have enough problems without turning on one another needlessly. I have no need to test his worth...I believe time will do that for us." With that, he sat back, silent once more with a single, calm swish of his tail as he took his seat. Honestly, on a more personal note, he could handle himself quite well while hunting...but was reluctant to battle his brothers without good reason. They were his family afterall.
Fallyn held his silence and his position, somewhat uncomfortably near Marrok, even after he finished his statement. Honestly, he had little to say on the matter at the moment, even if he'd had the courage...but he certainly wasn't going to speak out against Rummy either, especially if he was swiftly slipping into the position of new Alpha God...

Aka could hardly contain his urge to roll his eyes at everyone. It was as if they all wanted Rummy to answer the questions that only moments before could have been considered treason. Surely Rummy didn't have all the answers now? No, that was a lie, God always knew the answer. Still in that small part of his mind not tainted by power-lust and ambition he prayed that the beta's wouldn't be chosen. Such figures of power would be pillars, constantly standing in front of the alpha, doing his bidding. They would only stand in his way.
Turning once again to Okee he smirked. "How does it feel to be answered by our new God?" Something which made his eyes burn in jealousy. How was Okee any different from him?! They were both young blood in the pack with close to no experience. What made him special?
Without really caring for his brother's reply he turned his attention back to the subject at hand. He could have readily answered Rummy, but his voice counted little he learned, and so he stayed put, silently sulking under a mask of indifference.

Okeetee was appeased by the little lie and would very soon decide that Rummy was, indeed, the new God and that Danel truly was gone. Yet for now his young mind worried that they were all committing the highest treason. He fiddled with his brown paws against the earth and glanced towards his brother, ears catching what he was sure was a hint of jealousy.
His ears flicked backwards and he padded nearer to the dark furred fellow, tail shifting slightly. His movements were almost apologetic, yet at the same time he did feel a bit proud at the fact that he had been heard and answered, despite his lowly rank.
"Do not worry, brother, we will be among the cloaked ones, soon. Our voices will be heard much better, then." He whispered softly, almost eagerly. How he longed for the day he would be a proper member, though he was hardly as ambitious as his brother.

None had stepped forward to challenge him. Even better, none had slunk in the background, eyes burning with a secret desire to do so if they'd had any confidence at all. As the pack members raised their voices again it was with questions, questions that could only be answered by their alpha and already they recognized that was him.
The only one who really questioned him was Marrok, while Fallyn sat uncomfortably by. It wasn't a physical challenge, but it was a challenge all the same. Rummy would be keeping an eye on those two.
He had no time to think on that now. Instead, he lowered his head and pawed at his veil until it fell away from his cloak, leaving his face naked to the night air. He was, truly, the alpha.
"My betas shall be chosen at my discretion," he said, addressing the last questions first. "As shall my heir." He said nothing more on the subject.
"If Danel has found punishing the traitor important enough to leave us for than certainly, it shall become a priority of this pack. But not until we have reorganized ourselves. If you thirst for his blood, come to me once our hierarchy is in place again."
He turned away from the gathering. It was best to leave them with something to talk about than to drag the meeting and the questions out. "For now, I think it best we reacquaint ourselves with our ancestral dens."
