Shogun Gari Anyway, why would you want to get drunk faster? What other examples are there of hormonal malfunction? I was just using the alcohol thing as an example. A heavier person needs to take in more alcohol to have the same effect on them as perhaps a smaller person gets, from taking in less alcohol. For example, a smaller person may need to have around two beers to start feeling fairly drunk, while a heavier person may need to take up to 5 or so to get the same effect. Not every heavier person is affected by a lack of hormones, but common cases would include a lack of thyroid, and adreneline. And some heavier women have problems with their estrogen levels, as in my case. This explains why it's more common for a heavier woman to have trouble conceiving or maintaining a developing baby in their bodies. I'm not sure about guys though, since I don't really hear about that nearly as much. xp

There are overweight people who exercise and eat right and take their vitamins, but the fact that they're not exercising to LOSE weight makes people believe that they're lying about their daily activity/meal choices.
Thin people who rarely exercise *or don't at all* and eat massive amounts of junkfood are never ostracized by others.
I hate this ******** double standard scream

Zan07 man,i dont think being fat is bad. i see chinease people being fat and they are happy. booda is happy and always laughin. i think people should be just like booda. Oh I remember a time a few years ago when Tess, Anne and I were all sitting around drinking a little blueberry whine and discussing that exact thing. We came to the conclusion that if women ran the world and there were no men (no offence guys it was a girls night together after all) that the whole planet would be populated with Budda shaped women. And everyone would be happy with there apearance. lol I think I took it a little to close to heart, shortly there after I got pregnant and man I could of won a look a like contest. blaugh

I myself am a big girl about 5 2" - 5 3" and unfortunitly close to 245 pds. The thing is that two beer usualy get me tipsy. It all depends on how often you drink (tolerance) and if you have eaten before hand. lol I don't drink often and when I do it seems I'm never hungry either.

Quote: To give an understandable example of this, I'm sure some of you may know that the heavier you are, the longer it takes for you to get drunk (in most cases). That's because heavier people need more alcohol running through their vast blood stream in order for their blood alcohol level to go up.

People are brainwhased from birth from TV Ads, the fashion industry, and the dieting industries, to make you believe that fat is unhealthy.
I know skinny people that dont have wind to run long distances or climb stairs quickly, and some that have diabetes.
Then I know fat people that is healthier and stronger than me (my uncle for example), and I had a friend on a place we worked at, and in the lunch time we challenged each other to climb up running 12 floors of stairs! And we aways made it in the same time, even with him being (a lot) heavier than me.
I, for one, beleive that fat women have more womanly curves, so I like them better (on a physical analisys only, I have nothing against thin women)
