A pout appeared on her face as she watched him, hooves shuffling awkwardly as she waited for him to respond. What she had done wasn't that bad, why did it make him so angry? She couldn't imagine any ulterior motives behind something like asking directions.
Of course, when he finally did reply, she was left more confused than before. "But... How do you know that wasn't what he really wanted? He could've just been thirsty... He looked thirsty."
She murmured quietly "I doubt he'll return," she said under her breath, head lowered and cheeks slightly rosy. "He said he was just traveling through the area, trying to get somewhere... I don't think he meant anything besides what he said... But if your really that worried, I can come get you next time I see him."

"Yes," he said quickly. "Come and get me if you see him. In fact, come and get me if any stallion keep sniffing around you looking 'thirsty.' Since you can't seem to figure out which stallions to trust I'm going to have to help you." He gave her a small nuzzle then, watching her with possessive admiration. "We wouldn't want any of them sullying you, would we? If you were an ugly mare you wouldn't have to worry about it. It's because you're so beautiful that other stallions can't be trusted."
Such a beautiful kirin would draw the attention of anyone around her, he was certain. It would make mares more jealous, not that he cared what mares thought of her or she associated with. It was the stallions that would tarnish her... the stallions that might draw her away from him. She was such a naive creature, he knew. It would only be too easy for them.

Her curls bounced as she nodded slowly, "If that would make you feel better." Zhenzhen smiled, bowing her head, "but I wouldn't worry, he was simply looking for a place to drink."
Her cheeks warmed at the nuzzle and she cast a glance up at him, "That won't happen," she murmured, blushing, "I can trust you..."
She let out a quiet sigh as she looked away, unable to understand why something like that would worry him so much, after all he was perfect. She should be the one worrying that he'd leave her, she was a klutz, not at all graceful like she'd wished to be. She'd always dreamed of being like a proper princess, not clumsy in the least and finding herself a prince, but it seemed only half of that would be fulfilled. She hoped she could at least learn how to walk on all fours without having to worry about falling flat on her face, if she could do that, there'd be no reason to worry about being alone or disappointing him.

For the moment, Glissando had expelled the force of his anger. Zhenzhen was still his. She was just stupid sometimes. She needed to be taught. That was all. If he could teach her how a mare was supposed to behave and how stallions did behave, maybe he wouldn't have to get angry at her like this. She belonged to him and next time that he saw a stallion he'd kick him so hard that he wouldn't ever come near the Padmapani herd again. Hopefully Zhen wouldn't be so dumb in the future, though. She'd learn.
"You know I love you," he crooned, now falling back into the charismatic side of his personality. "It's because I love you that I want to make sure you're safe and that other stallions don't try to use you. Without me, you wouldn't stand a chance. I'll protect you from them... but you have to be smart about things too."
She was so pure, so white, so beautiful... and she completely belonged to him.
