I could understand it if the colleseum type area was for your own House, but if its a separate thing. It would do better in a more public space. Quote: No offense but if you read the Map thread you'd see that parts of the city are already claimed and while the map has yet to be edited to reflect that, its far from just open to random grab and drop. If your all keen on working this stuff out, then by all means please just include me so we can get it right and so you'll know where things actually go and where the various houses, districts and such are located. There is alot of the city and the houses that existed before the big dump happened, that are no longer in the threads, but that doesn't mean they don't or never did exist. I'm happy to work with you, if you work with me. I only dissect your city, only so I know where I'm going in the future! Sorry about the grief or upset it might have caused you. On the "lets work together, not against" I'd be happy too! It was just getting on my nerves with the obscurity of the town. I wasn't sure who to pm or ask or talk to get this place somewhat organized. And I didn't want to wait for the hazy someday in the future~~ I'm OCD on the organization thing, so this place was like a tick time bomb for me. All I wanted were some districts!!! Thats it! So I'm sorry if I cause some minor problems with the creation of this thread, but the supposed clean up of the entire guild was the perfect excuse to cut up the "City Proper" and turn it into a proper city.

Ok.. just so you all know, I stayed up till 2:30am last night working on the map. I'm also working tonight late because I'm going to change it to the style that Urlorbbath uses. It will be the same layout, just a different presentation.. darker and more representative of us Drow.
For now I'll be using generic icons for houses and temples..ect. If anyone (*prays*) has skill with mapping or such let me know because I'm just cobbling with Paint and an old Photoshop.
Also.. you may see some topic thread vanish or be replaced. DO NOT PANIC! I'm going to modify our City thread and if you have a topic you'd hate to see removed let me know so I can perhaps just edit the first post and title so it fits into the new design.

*shrugs.* i'm a good mapper, though i don't ctually have great tools to do it with... it wouldn't look neat and clean nessasarily, but it would be hand-drawn nice and even, be extremely easy to understand, and look pretty damn good for a bird's-eye view hand-drawn map.... i could tottally try using MS Paint and see if that's better.

Chieftain Twilight *shrugs.* i'm a good mapper, though i don't ctually have great tools to do it with... it wouldn't look neat and clean nessasarily, but it would be hand-drawn nice and even, be extremely easy to understand, and look pretty damn good for a bird's-eye view hand-drawn map.... i could tottally try using MS Paint and see if that's better. I've seen it and yeah its gorgeous, but I don't have that much to throw at a program for making maps.. so I'm making it by hand in Paintshop Pro

A'ight, I'm sure you've all seen my house by now. Vally has kindly given me pretty much free run of the C&T District (within reason... obviously. Let's NOT burn anything down), and my house is in charge of its upkeep and smooth running. So. To Oxun, thank you extremely for the description. It basically catered perfectly to what I was looking for.

Also, I like the map we have up, but I don't have any clue as to what sits where. Obviously buildings are changable, but for the main districts themselves, can I at least get an idea of what direction they sit in?. (e.g. north, south, whatever)
I realise this should go in the map thread, but, well, I'm too lazy to break this up into two separate posts.

Serethiel Maerukai Will if you would like I would gladly draw you a new map... so long as you have a general base layout of things. <3 Wow.. I'd love to let you draw us a map darlin. Your artist skills out shine mine like the sun compared to a single guttering candle. If you need references, the locations are all pretty simple, everything was basically the same between the two versions of the maps, as Draevir just simplified my map for his. Get with me and I'll help as much as possible.
