Rowan studied Vengeance with eagles eyes looking for any sign that the stallion would either leave or perhaps go on the attack. Rowan kind of hoped he fight for it. Then Vengeance did the unexpected. He gave up? Well at least he certainly put on a good show of it. Unmoving Rowan stared back at the other as he began to walk. "Yeah I guess you will. Oh and don't worry I will make sure you get plenty of time playing the role of Thanos' b***h before I come back." He snorted out, with his ears pinned back.

Not wanting to waste anymore time Rowan turned his body, for a moment made it look like he was going to send a kick Vengeance's way and then shoved past the stallion. If Vengeance wanted a fight he would give him one, but right now he had a job to do and as much as he wanted to teach Vengeance a lesson he really wanted to get this information for Thanos. And be damned if this stupid grey stallion would stop him. Vengeance would have to kill him in order to make Rowan stop.

The grey stallion remained quiet as Rowan talked. He'd been about to strike when the other moved past him. Well, this would not do at all. Instead of kicking, Vengeance kept moving, repositioning himself. He was definitely pleased to see that Rowan didn't really suspect that he was planning on a fight. This was good, he wanted the element of surprise, it would give him the advantage, make sure his first move was well placed.

Was Rowan really that stupid though? To think that Vengeance would simply give up and walk away without a fight? The grey stallion didn't quite buy it. Better to be safe then sorry. Expect the worse and be prepared. He quickly positioned himself so that a well placed kick would hit the palomino in his back hock. With most of a horses weight being supported by his back legs it would leave the other at a disadvantage. He kicked out then with a force meant to break bones. He just hoped that he had made his calculations and positioned himself correctly. It had been a while since he'd been in any shape to fight and it was possible that he had missed something.

Rowan hadn't honestly expected Vengeance to just walk away. No, they were both itching to fight, to prove one was better than the other. So as he began to walk off his ears were turned back listening for any subtle sound that would tell him what Vengeance was up to. And it certainly didn't take long at all for the other to make his move and Rowan was ready for it. Luckily Rowan was quick on his feet, having spend a good chunk of his previous life fighting other stallions for possession of mares. He knew all the moves, how to avoid them, how to use them to his advantage and how to inflict them.

He shifted his body around quickly, causing Vengeance's kick to mostly miss. Hooves merely nicked his flesh, and Rowan knew if he hadn't have kept his guard up that kick could have been much worse. "Do you wish to return to Hell so soon?" He sneered at the grey stallion. His body was still in motion was turning around, half rearing his kicked out with both legs hoping to force Vengeance to shift to the left. Then he lashed out with barred teeth a moment late, so that if Vengeance moved to the left he would find Rowan's teeth coming down at his neck.

Vengeance had been somewhat ready for Rowan to notice what he was doing, however it still caught him off guard. The stallion cursed as he felt his hooves barely graze the other stallion. This wasn't going as well as he had planned. Well, it wasn't over yet and there was no way he was giving up now. When he had kicked, he put as much force into it as he could and when Rowan moved it left him a bit off balance.

The grey stallion was trying to quickly regain his position when he saw Rowan kick out. Unfortunately he wasn't quick enough in moving out of the way and felt hooves tear into flesh. The stallion ignored the pain and made his next move before Rowan could take another shot. Instead of kicking out this time, he reared up and lashed out with his front hooves, this time he went for Rowan's face. If the other stallion couldn't see, there wasn't any way he could win the fight. Although with as quick as the palomino had been before, he needed to start planning his next move now.

"Oh no," He started. "I'm not the one going back to Hell. That would be you. Do you really think Thanos is going to remember some insignificant Palomino lap dog?"

Rowan let out a satisfied laugh as his hooves hit their mark. Vengeance was clearly less skilled at fighting than Rowan was. Raising himself up a bit more on his hind legs as Vengeance reared up. So predictable, he thought. As Vengeance's front hooves came at her head Rowan lifted it up, just letting them narrowly miss him and then turned his head to the side so he could still see. Rowan knew full well that if his head was held up to avoid a strike to it that would leave him vulnerable to whatever else Vengeance was going to throw at him.

"I thought we had decided you were his lap dog." He snapped as he took a few steps to the side on his back hooves. It was an awkward move but he had done it once of twice. Now he brought his front legs flying towards Vengeance, following with his head, hoping to either his the other stallion with his hooves or head butt him.

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see." He snapped. It had been many years since Vengeance had fought and he was definitely rusty. What he had thought would turn out to be a good thing had back fired. If he didn't get out soon he might not get out at all.

The grey stallion tried to dodge past the other stallions hooves, and felt them scrape harmlessly against his shoulder, only making a small cut. He then moved just barely fast enough to miss Rowan's head. Before the other stallion could move again, Vengeance bolted. At this point in time he wasn't good enough to best the palomino stallion, and it might be cowardly but it wasn't worth his life. Besides, he doubted Thanos would be happy with fighting inside of the herd and was relatively sure that Rowan wouldn't bring it up.

He might have been bested this time, but being Beta would mean more then strength. Now he was determined to find every god damn horse out there and report back to Thanos. He would have that position, and then he would exact his revenge on the palomino.

Rowan's ears flattened as Vengeance bolted away. What the Hell, he thought, he was the one who started the fight and he wasn't even man enough to finish it. After his hooves slammed into the ground he regained his balance and turned chasing after Vengeance. "Get back here you coward!" He yelled out anger fuming in his voice. Though Rowan soon gave up the chase. He was wasting his time with that other stallion. Sliding to a stop he let out and angry snort. Standing there for a few minutes he watched Vengeance's retreating for. He wondered if the grey stallion would return back to Thanos or was merely running away from everything. Well if he did see Vengeance again they would finish what had been started here.

Finally turning around Rowan began to make his way along the river again. He still needed to find some evidence of other horses before returning to the herd. He could care less if Vengeance did run back to Thanos to tell the stallion what he was up to. Would Thanos be made for Rowan showing such initiative when it clearly would benefit the herd. Giving his head a shake he followed the river at a trot, eyes searching the ground for signs of horses, while his ears were alert just in case that coward Vengeance decided to come back.
