This was getting a little bit creepy. Jada gave the redhead a smile. "Well, let me know when you're done picking out your books." she said finally, and lifted up a ratty copy of Tale of Two Cities, sitting on the edge of the desk.
Half an eye paid attention to the girl sorting through the books. Frankly, she didn't much care what the girl grabbed. Eventually the pies were worked through, and Aggie turned her attention back to Jada, thanking her again.
The heiress set the book down on the edge of the desk and uncrossed her ankles, giving the other girl a nod. "I do need to get back to my desk soon. Can you carry your selections, or do you think you'll need a bag?" She mentally calculated the number of books surrounding the redhead on the floor and how many bags they would fill.

"A bag would be nice." Or two, possibly, but she didn't actually say that aloud, just gave a smile that was half-shy and half-happy beaming. It was a tough combination, but she managed it. "How much does a bag cost here? I think I've got some spare change, somewhere.."
She took a quick look through her pockets, bypassing lint and crumpled notes with expertise and managed to unearth a few dollars. "Is t-this enough, do you think?"

"You don't need to pay for a bag." Jada grinned at the redhead, giving her a wink. "We get enough people leaving behind little plastic grocery bags that I'll let you take them free of charge." she lifted up some of the books that the girl had grabbed. "I don't think you'll need more than three bags to carry them all out." She waited for Aggie to lift up the rest of the books before guiding her back towards the front of the library.
Behind the desk there were some plastic bags that she kept stored for people who read too much and got too many books, or who needed to keep the books organized and secure in their car. Jada pulled out a few for the other girl, settling the older books carefully in the bags. "Sorry I don't have any paper bags." They were thicker, but they were a bit harder to carry. "Be really careful, okay?"
Jada bit her lip, thinking. "Did you have anything else you needed? Any books you wanted to check out? Or do you think you will be okay? I can hide these behind the counter until checkout, if you like."

"No, no! This is more t-than enough, really." She nodded along to her own words, "I wouldn't want to put you out any more than I already have. I mean, it was really, really nice of you to let me have these -" she held up the bags in question, full to bursting with books she'd scrounged from the back-room, "- and you totally didn't have to, and really, I appreciate it. I-if you ever need anything and I can help, just t-tell me, OK?"
Still, she needed to get going soon. These bags weren't going to lug themselves home and she couldn't carry them around with her all day. "I should be going, t-though. Thanks again, seriously!"

"It is fine." A grin. "I hope they come in handy for you?" Why the redhead wanted such outdated books that the public library was going to be getting rid of them she didn't know. But hey, to each their own.
Already someone else was approaching the counter, almost making a beeline for Jada. It was pretty busy; she had spent more time in the back than she should have. "Have a good one, okay?"

"Y-you too!" With a last smile to the girl behind the counter and a heaving effort, Aggie made off with her newly acquired books and back home. She had a lot of reading to do if she wanted to get through these in any sort of reasonable timespan. And she'd definitely need to fact-check a few of them, just in case..
Yep, it'd definitely been a trip to the library well-worth it.
