"R-right!" Cowering behind Virgo came naturally to the other senshi, though she made sure to position herself so she could jump out and defend her newest idol at a moment's notice. Just in case. Though she was well aware that she probably had nothing on Virgo's, er, kick-butt slapping skills (or Negaverse knowledge or jumping-from-roof-tops skills) didn't mean that she couldn't try, right? That was what senshi were for, after all - trying to kick Negaverse butt and running away if they couldn't.
"You were groping her! I-isn't there some no fraternization with the enemy-rules in place or something?!" Or else there really, really should be.

Self-doubt. Virgo, hands up between her body and Variscite, was assailed by it; had she been wrong to react that way to the Negaverse agent? She stared at the claws on Variscite's fingertips, felt--or thought she felt--Vanadis behind her. This was right. This was right... wasn't it? She protected the Moon senshi, and allowing one of them-- Wasn't she right?
"I'm not interested in justice," Virgo said tremulously. "I'm a Zodiac, we surround and protect." And Vanadis was afraid. This hesitation allowed Variscite to get back to her feet; she didn't hesitate much longer, but scrunched up her face and kicked out at Variscite again.

Variscite was about to feel again the full strength of a Zodiac, the full strength of one who was so different from the Moon Court. The kick knocked her in the chin, and sent her sprawling back. She was knocked against the door of her car and fell half-inside, her legs flailing as she tried to stand back up and climb out of her vehicle to attack again.

She might not know what a Zodiac was, but she knew a good opportunity when she saw one. And this was definitely a good opportunity.
Sailor Vanadis darted forward as Variscite fell, counting on Virgo's kick to keep the Negaverse agent down for at least a few seconds: "Algiz Rune Warding!"
The little ward glowed brightly against the car and the translucent dome that was characteristic of Vanadis' one and only attack appeared as she stumbled backwards, out of the range of her ward. Would it hold? She'd only ever tried it on those youma things, but..
"We gotta be quick, it doesn't last long! Virgo, w-we need to run."

She felt terrible for beating on this Negaverse Lieutenant, but it was her duty to protect the weaker senshi until they had their full strength. You didn't need to be a genius to see exactly how new poor Vanadis was, and while she might not be helping the younger senshi build up piles of confidence, she was keeping her alive and un-starseed ganked long enough to ensure the girl did become confident!
When the pink-haired senshi used her attack--rune warding?--she got ready to run. The younger senshi came back towards her, and Virgo didn't need to be told twice; she took Vanadis's hand and gripped it tightly. Then she turned on her heel and ran.

Variscite groaned, and when she finally managed to sit up, the ward was already in place. Try as she might, and no matter how hard the woman struggled, the ward was stuck in place. She could only stare as the two senshi escaped.
She bit her lip and cursed before slamming one of her fists into the back of the driver's seat.
By the time the ward faded, the two senshi were already gone, leaving the lieutenant alone with only her car for company.
