I had the taste of Blood and C h o c o l a t e in my mouth... A smile found its way to Rahne's lips. "So true, my friend, so very true." Rahne could appreciate the need for freedom, it pulled at his gut every day. "I hope I am the only werewolf you meet, young crow, my brethren aren't as hospitable as myself." Rahne readjusted on his branch, still wary of this creature but never showing it as he looked out to the horizon.

Let's pick an excuse, or keep the one we had ◥ ◣ Kiara blinked at the conversation going on. It seemed everything was fine, but she could sense the tension in the young werewolf... Well, the crow seemed to be harmless enough. In her view, the werewolf's carefulness was being wasted on such a creature, who wasn't a harm. A small smile crossed her lips. Her wings buzzed again, carrying her into the air. She giggled a bit as she fluttered from tree to tree. While she was in the real world, why not watch what really happens at night? ◢ ◤ All I can be, no one will ever see

  Hiou walked slowly along the forest floor, unsure of where she was, exactly. This was her first time outside of her home; her parents always locked her inside, to keep the other Bloods from killing her for not sharing their feelings toward war.
She stumbled, her foot caught in a root, her body hitting the floor hard, too weak from lack of nourishment. Her parents and sisters had always brought blood home from her, disgusting and cold from having sat out for so long. But she had always taken it without complaint. Any time she had opened her mouth to comment on the taste, one of her family members would hit her hard enough to put her own blood in her mouth. Then they would sneer at her, saying "There, are you happy now? There's some fresh blood for you." before walking off.
Hiou lay on the ground, in a frightened daze. What was she going to do? She didn't know how to fend for herself. Why had she tried running away? She should have just stayed home and taken the abuse. At least she could survive that way.
But she couldn't. She had put up with her family for so long...It was time she got away from them and their hurtful ways.
A sudden growl rent the air, her head snapping up at the sound. Whimpering softly in terror, Hiou crawled as fast as she could to take shelter under the nearest bush.

Let's pick an excuse, or keep the one we had ◥ ◣ Kiara landed on a branch, and was about to take off again, when something caught her eye. Looking closer, she saw... A girl? No, much too pale for a human. A Blood? Yes, that made sense. When the girl whimpered and crawled to a bush, apparantly trying to hide, she blinked. What was wrong? She jumped of the branch and floated to the ground, hardly making a sound as her bare feet touched the semi-cold forest floor. She walked, somewhat floating, over to the bush the girl was hiding at. She squatted when she was about a foot away, and looked at the girl curiously. "Are you okay?" She asked quietly, not wanting to frighten the poor girl further. ◢ ◤ All I can be, no one will ever see

Hiou looked up at the creature in front of her, her lips trembling. "I-I just..." she stuttered in a small, almost childlike voice. Taking a slow breath, she tried to calm her nerves, knowing it was dangerous to show her emotions in front of others. Show them any kind of weakness and they would use it against her. She tried again. "I am okay...I was only..." Hiou bit her lip, trying to think up a lie so the winged creature would leave her alone before it could hurt her. "I was looking for something to eat." Hiou stood on shaky legs, making sure to use the trees to shield her from the direction the growl had come from. "If you will please excuse me..."

Let's pick an excuse, or keep the one we had ◥ ◣ Kiara's heart ached at the manner of which the girl spoke. She hated to see any creature in pain, emotional of physical. This one seemed emotional. When the girl said she was just looking for food, she couldn't help but frown. She could detect the lie in the Blood's voice. But should she push the issue, or leave the girl alone? When the girl stood, Kiara stood with her. "Okay," she said slowly. "If you're sure you're alright..." She paused, then spoke again. "By the way, you don't want to go that way." She pointed in the direction the growl came from, then let her arm fall at her side. "The werewolf territory is that way. They don't take too kindly to wandering Bloods such as yourself..." She still spoke gently, trying to make her tone kind. "Well, I guess I should leave you to it, then..." She turned on her heels and slowly walked off, her wings fluttering slightly. Her feet barely made a sound as she padded across the forest floor, slowly, just in case the Blood changed her mind. ◢ ◤ All I can be, no one will ever see

I had the taste of Blood and C h o c o l a t e in my mouth...Rahne's ear twitched at the sound of talking in the distance, curiosity overtaking him before he snapped back to attention. "The very outskirts of werewolf territory." He replied as he stood, balancing on the branch with ease as he stretched.
"The nearest human town is that way," He pointed to the east, "And the mountains are that way," He said pointing in the opposite direction before leaping out of the tree, hitting the ground with a soft thud. He brushed himself off and stretched once more, he had been in that tree for over an hour. The night sky glistened with thousands of stars that Rahne couldn't help but stop to admire.
"So where does your freedom take you now?" He asked, looking up to the shapeshifter.

There is so much to do other than fly north and south. i am just finding that out now it seems. Ray is unhappy, he does not like you." she said, not in an insulting way but because the bird was freaking out and about to attack him. She was only issuing a warning. I had the taste of Blood and C h o c o l a t e in my mouth...Rahne arched and eyebrow, watching the distressed bird for a moment before returning his attention to the shapeshifter. "Smart bird." He said finally, a crooked smile on his lips. "I am Rahne by the way," He said kindly, dipping his head slightly in greeting. "And if you ever find yourself in a tight situation involving my kind, throw my name around a bit and it should do you some good." He didn't like to let on about his ranking in werewolf society but if it was to help a seemingly naive crow then it might be for the best.

Hiou stood in indecision. Should she follow the creature or turn back? Images of her life at home flashed in her mind, making Hiou want to call out for her to wait. But she couldn't. Her mind would not allow her to trust another so easily. Creatures, no matter what kind, were always out for themselves.
She remained immobile, allowing the one with wings to put distance between them. Hiou's gaze followed the direction where the creature had pointed earlier. 'Werewolf territory...? Perhaps it would be best to stay clear of that area...' And yet she couldn't help being curious about what it would be like. She took a tentative toward it before freezing as a loud snap sounded in her ears. Looking down and picking her foot up, she saw the small branch that had caused the noise. Her eyes grew wide and she looked about nervously, hoping her carelessness had not alerted anything nearby.

She whirled around, to see the Blood holding her foot up, looking at the ground. She must have stepped on a fallen branch, she thought. It was common around this part of the woods. She then realized... The Blood was headed towards werewolf territory. Her eye twitched. Hadn't she told her not to go there. She sighed, and launched into the air with a buzz of wings. She would follow the Blood, to make sure she didn't get into trouble. Even if she had frightened her, she still didn't want her to get hurt... ◢ ◤ All I can be, no one will ever see

  Bruises, cuts, and scrapes. The pain from these things is what Nel was feeling. She groaned as the walked through the forest. It seemed that this was the only place safe for her to sleep. Nothing ever bothered her when she was within the density. She ran her fingers through her faded hair and sighed. Her seeking blue eyes scanned the forest for any sign of trouble as she walked. Her other hand that went unoccupied rested at her side; her thumb sticking through an empty belt loop. A groan escaped the teenage girl as she set down on a log that was once a tree standing up right and proud. She crossed one leg over the other and stretched her arms. When she did this both of her shoulders possed. She groaned at how great it felt. She cocked her head to the side making her neck pop. She felt so sore. Then, she stretched her legs out after uncrossing them.
