Ace laughed as Zoran jumped and ran. Oh he could make her laugh alright in fact she seemed to laugh so much that it didn't really sink in that he had turned and pounced at her!
Maybe there was a hunter in him yet as he managed to hit Ace and they go rolling across the sands together. Ace was still lauging, she apparently couldn't stop!
"You can make a hunter yet!" She managed to get out between laughs before she started wriggling under his weight. Not that she really minded being this close to him but you know... it was like probably inappropriate or something.
She started to push at him with her paws hoping that it might move him but not really putting all that much effort into it. She liked being this close to him, it felt right.

Zoran was a little shocked at the tumbling, but what should you expect from the sandy slopes? In the end he just ended up laughing, and laughing still when they came to a stop then finally, "Ya think so?" It gave him hope, but he couldn't be too sure. Prey just wasn't gonna be as comfortable around him as he assumed she was.
At the wriggling he sat back, though one lazy paw still draped over her for a moment as, again, amused chuckling started. A simple push and said paw was removed. He was too happy to have been embarrassed. That and, well,...he really hadn't been too bothered anyway. A mirthful smile lingered on her for a moment before-
"Oh hey! Look! We're here!" The oasis caught his eye. Though they weren't really there yet, but...close enough.

Ace was rather sad when he moved off of her. In fact she had rather enjoyed being so close but he had moved and so she got up. The oasis looked beautiful as it always did and she couldn't help but just look at it for a while.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" She smiled at him and then back at the oasis.
"Race you there?" She didn't wait for a reply she was up and running as quickly as she spoke heading straight towards the water and the cool relief she knew it would bring. That and she really couldn't wait to have another water fight with Zoran! So many would disapprove of the wasting water but who cared. Fun was much more important!

"Huh?" was all that was heard from the lion before, finally realizing what she said, he stood and ran after her, "That's no way to win!' He teased, standing at the waters edge. he reached in a paw and splashed some of the water at her before jumping in himself.
Hey, if no one knew they were wasting water, who could complain? Besides, Ace had said it herself that she needed a bath! Zoran was not inclined to agree because he knew such comments could come back and bit him in the tail - he might have been remembering such an exchange with one of his sisters - and he was more inclined to have Ace happy.

Ace laughed as she jumped into the water and laughed even more as Zoran seemed to enter with the largest splash ever! It seemed she was soaked in no time.
She ran over to him and rubbed along his side just to make sure he was as wet as she was before she nuzzled him. This was the life and there was no one around to spoil it for them.
She turned to look at Zoran and for the first time in a while she didn't know what to say to him. She just smiled and then licked his cheek before turning and splashing him. It seemed for once maybe actions really would speak louder then words.

Zoran was oddly proud to have made such a splash, and there was a lopsided, dorky, smile of pride that soon turned into a slightly stunned expression, complete with wide red eyes. Had she really just, not only nuzzled him, but licked his cheek too? Boy did he feel...well, randomly and uncharacteristically shy.
That expression was erased with another splash that seemed to bring him back to reality.
"H-Hey!" He laughed, shaking his mane then feinting a a lunge her direction, raising back onto his hind legs, then coming down to smack the water with his forepaws. Hoping she was temporarily distracted with the water that he'd sent her way, he tried to sneak his own nuzzle, that ended with a light, playful, n** to her ear before he hopped away in anticipation of some watery retaliation.

Ace chuckled as he splashed her again, there was no doubting just how wet they both were now. She was surprised by the nuzzle he sneaked in and maybe she should have splashed him back but she didn't. Instead she ran straight at him, granted getting them both wet but that wasn't what she was planning on.
She leapt at him, wanting to be close to him again. The nuzzles, it sent sparks through her and she loved it. She wanted to feel that again and be that close and the only subtle way she could think of was to pounce on him. After all she wanted some innocent reason to be close to him. If she had been bolder maybe she would have just come out and said it. Akinyi had been teasing her about Zoran for some time now. It seemed her wolf knew more about her feelings then she did herself.

When she lept at him, he instinctively rose back onto his hind legs, forelegs raised to counter or in this case 'catch' her. Soon as she pounced him, those legs were around her in some sort of hug, though the force and the miniature waves had him off balance.
"Uwaaagh~!" Splash!

Being wrapped up in the arms of one you love would be a normal thing if maybe you were human and not where they were but yet what they were doing was something similar and yes Acenath was more then happy to just stay as they had fallen.
"I have missed this. I hope you finish those lessons soon." She flicked her tail before she let it rest on his, they were in the water but it seemed they had landed close enough to shore that their heads were resting out of the water and that suited Acenath perfectly.
She took in his warmth and his scent and just laid there, close to him, in perfect peace. This was how it was suppose to be.

Zoran wasn't exactly sure what to do or say. He bought time with a lick to her forehead and a dorky grin. He was happy, if not a little lost for words.
"I'll try to be a quick learner then." Most of it seemed to go in one ear and out the other, but...hey, if it meant more time with Ace? Yeah, he'd get though it. Because time with her was always well spent, and thoroughly enjoyed.

Acenath smiled at him and wondered just how long they could get away with staying like this. She wanted to say stuff to him but decided not to, they were together and alone and for some reason she just didn't want to break the silence between them.
This was perfect. This was how she wanted it to stay.

"Some bath, huh?" Zoran said with a lopsided smile on his face.
There wasn't much else to say. This was nice. Wonderful, actually. There was nothing he could complain about, nothing he would change. The oasis, the lovely and fun Acenath, and he. Although only the second of those really mattered.
Yes, this was happiness.
