I have a wick that had been bought from a firework place (my dad knows me too well...) but I can't imagine any common store having such a thing in stock. If you can't get it at a firework place or online or make it yourself, you're probably out of luck.

Shrantics Pretentious Ego Man of the Demoneye Anyone else having a hard time finding tree stump remover? S'called thermite. xp That reminds me, I STILL haven't gotten around to making up some thermite. Easier to make than the smoke bomb, but I have no idea where to get the ingredients.

Mars? You know what, since Mars' surface is such percentage iron oxide, I think it'd be lulzy if some thousand years in the future, someone mixed all that s**t with several trillion metric tons of aluminum and lit it off. Turn Mars into a giant ball of thermite, and then a small sun. It sounds like something Anon would do.

A blow torch could be used in it's place or something else. As for the powdered aluminum I've heard that is also used as a pigment. Plan B get a bar of aluminum and a bench grinder.

Iron oxide- put steel wool in a jar, and fill it with water until the wool is below the surface. Add in 5 tbsp of bleach, 5 tbsp of vinegar, then let it sit for a day or so. Finally, run the brown mixture through a coffee filter and collect rust. Or, you could buy rust from a paint shop or ebay. Aluminum- Grind something like a soda can up using a grinder. Or break open an Etch-a-Sketch. Or buy it off ebay/paint shop. As for the magnesium, I hear old sparklers work pretty well at lighting thermite. Hell, one killed someone who would have been my great-aunt, so hell, they must be pretty damn hot. xp

Turn Mars into a giant ball of thermite, and then a small sun. It sounds like something Anon would do. when i did it, i used THIS method to make very fine quality iron oxide (i used a railroad spike as my positive lead) and i copied THIS sites ideas, with some creative interpretation to make a grinding mill... it worked extremely well, but was a little bit costly, due to having to buy fairly good quality metal grade sand paper (not super expensive, but everything else i had i got for free xp ) as for magnesium, i got lucky in that my dad had a couple of old sacrificial anodes made of magnesium off of some super old thing at his work that they threw out a while back... keep in mind tho that magnesium reacts with water, so u basically have to go at it your self with a file, which sucks, but is reasonably easy because mag is a very soft metal... for you, scrap yard? instant fire tool things? eBay? idk man... and yes, as shrantic said, sparklers are another very simple fuse...

Hmm. Sparklers would greatly simplify this whole thing. I guess I'd just stick them into the top instead of going through the hassle of making a fuse for the smoke. Good idea Shrantic!

Good idea Shrantic! Unfortunately, sparklers are illegal here too. Fortunately, Fuse can be found dirt cheap. It's a buck more for the non-ugly fuse, but WTFever. When I get up a bit of money, I'm totally doing this. If I color it, I think I'm going blue. Blue is as non-permanent as you can get, except purple, but I think purple would look retarded.

Canada we get beer and gambling AND naked women @ 18 (... u know if u live within driving distance of back-a**-wards Quebec xp ) I think gambling (in casinos and lotteries) has always been 21, but the law just changed in the last few years so that you can't even walk onto the gaming floor of the casino until you're 21. That used to be 18, because really... if you've ever been in a casino, you know how much more difficult it is to walk around using the hallways than it is to cut across the floor.
