This seemed to soothe Sue's worry, at least by a bit. As long as she wasn't actually looking for this stuff, it wasn't so bad. Idiots Sue didn't know were allowed to be as stupid as they wanted, and he wouldn't care - idiots Sue did know needed to act with an ounce of self-preservation, or he'd have no peace of mind.

Not that. He was saying Imogen was an idiot. Just that, you know. He didn't want her acting like one.

"Shouldn't be used to stuff like that," he grumbled. "Shouldn't be happening, not to anybody. Be careful when you're going around, all right? No back-alley shortcuts, parks at night, whatever. Everybody's gotta be more careful these days...."

"Stay where it's light and crowded, run if you see anything, only fight if cornered and you have no other choice, if a senshi turns up let them fight because that's what senshi do." Imo parroted her rules. She actually had rules. They'd been set in stone by her second encounter and should anymore monsters pop up, she was following them. As she'd said to Sailor Badass, hand Imo some superpowers of her own and she'd battle away until the cows came home. And then she'd beat up the cows. But until then - running for her life!

"Some part of me is surprised you don't know more about it. I mean you remember more from Pines..." She studied Sue for a moment thoughtfully. It was all part of her being freaky and her sudden somewhat unwarrented trust of this guy. Ah well. Her being irrational she supposed. Imo suddenly beamed, joking;

"Then again, you did walk us right into a strip club that one time."

"Bah. You would bring that up." But was that a bit of a smile on Sue's face? A tiny crinkle in the corner of his mouth? The boy seemed at ease, possibly for the first time in this whole encounter. Imogen wasn't stupid. She wasn't looking for trouble - she was just falling into it. Even if that didn't make Sue happy... at least she wasn't putting herself at needless risk.

Unlike some friends he could mention. God damn....

"I'm surprised we don't hear more about those monsters in the news, anyway," Sue commented, more at ease discussing the subject now. "I mean, it barely seems like a secret anymore, does it?"

There! Imo had seen it. One of those sort-of-smiles she loved trying to get out of Sue. He might seem scary from a distance, and yeah up close he still wasn't all hugs and kittens, but it was oddly gratifying when she could amuse him. She tried to keep it going.

"The weather lady on Destiny TV is probably secretly a senshi. She keeps it all hushed up."

Now the weather lady on Destiny TV, one of the local news channels, was not a pretty young woman but a 'glamourous' fifty year old. She somehow managed to act cheery (as all weather people must) and yet also look like she hated every viewer personally. Like it pained her to make every inane pun she was forced to by the producers of the news show. Like she was happy when it rained because it would make all the peons in the streets below her miserable. Not exactly the first person you'd think of but she would look both disturbing and hilarious in a fuku.

Sue thought about it. He really wished that he hadn't.

"You think she's senshi material? No, no, not her. Now, the sports announcer...." Another 50-odd-years-old figure. Male. Balding. Caught up in a scandal last year when his wife accused him of having an affair with a Crystal Academy girl, who was promptly shamed by her peers right out of the state even while the allegations were never backed by any evidence. "I can see him running around with the rest of the skirts. Or after them, as the case may be," Sue concluded.

"After them yes, in them, hell no. Maybe he could wear some coolots or shorts. I do think the weather lady has some potentional though. She can attack the youma and the forces of darkness with overcast skies and a fifty percent chance of hail." She giggled.

"So, do you fancy getting some food? I'm up for anything so long as the waitresses are clothed." Eventually the strip club incedent would stop being such good material but Imo though it was funny looking back. The run around for pizza had been very memorable.

"Hail?" Yeah, Sue chuckled a bit at that. What a ******** stupid senshi that would make! Like a goddamned glorified ice dispenser!

(Clearly: Someone, someday, would need to better acquaint Sue with the Moon Senshi running around.)

Poor jokes set aside, Sue refocused his thoughts on the concept of food. "I could go for a bite," he agreed. "There's a burger place pretty close to here - you wanna give it a shot?"

Chuckling was always good. Imo basked in the happy vibes and mulled over the burger place idea. Plan had potential. She could get a cheeseburger and oh! Maybe a vanilla shake? Burger places had to do milkshakes. She was pretty sure it was a law somewhere or that it should be.

"Sounds good to me." She nodded to her friend and as they headed towards their new destination, added - "And what is your sports announcer going to do? Throw footballs at the bad guys?"
