GS Sailor Saturn I was in UP with a Death Knight who yelled 'For Pony!' at the beginning of the King Ymiron fight. I responded 'Thank you Richard' the first time Screams of the Dead froze us. The DK said no-one on their server ever got that reference.
On a more general note, I've found the random dungeon grouping tends towards the good for me. Oh my God, nobody EVER understands when I say that.
I'll be in AV, and as soon as the gate opens I'll /y "FOR PONY!!!!" and people are just like "FOR YOUR MOM!!"
Depressing stuff. sad

Eh...healing...EASY MODE
On my paladin I literally just sit back and /dance in most boss fights, sometimes in Heroics I do have to actualy work...but rarely!
Also the other day in a PuG, this hunter...decided to dps by melee! No, he wasnt out of ammo, his gun wasnt messed up, he just honestly thought that melee was a better way to dps!
I of course let him die, he also liked running out of range of my heals and getting out of my line of sight
I play a hunter as my main...so I think I can easily say this without arguement
EPIC NOOB FAILURE!!!

lishuss The Voodoo Shuffle TRANOiD Healing is, always will be, and always has been the easiest thing to do in WoW. Mashing buttons is serious business.
I did KT at level 60 and topped charts (and bottomed/close to overheal, when it mattered lololol) clicking and keyboard turning. I think the only fight I mouseturned on was Gothik. SERIOUS STUFF
Yeah, but I like to play games when I heal to make it interesting. I don't use regrowth or wild growth as a druid, and as a priest I don't use flash heal. Or I try to beat the lowest DPS in damage. It makes it fun. Just because you're a healer doesn't mean that's all you should be doing! lol, that would be a horrible burn for the lowest dps. "you suck so bad, the healer out deeps'd ya" I outDPSed a ret paladin by nearly 200,000 damage on my druid once.

The paladin was actually really effing terrible. They had no clue how to play their class and even said so themselves.

The best random group I actually had was on my Druid, Seriously I can heal most heroics with Lifebloom its quite sad really. But anyway this group I was with basically told me too just heal when needed and dps the rest of the time.
Its sad when a resto druid out Dps's a rogue in the same gear....
Funny but sad, But yeah the whole group gave him crap till he pulled out 7.6k on "The Faceless one"
Yep was an extremely fun H random.
The next best I had was on my DK Iconformed, Its a Female Blood Elf Unholy Death Knight. Someone actually got the joke... I was proud.. xD

If you're a priest, it is not button mashing. You've got a crapload of heals, and if you button mash, you either heal too much and waste mana or heal to little. You actually gotta think about which heal would be best for each situation. I've had someone recognize me from another MMO that I played. That was freaky.. WoW has how many servers? Also split into Euro and US.

I have had an Exalted (White Wolf paper game) character that was a Night caste (rogue type person) named Dodge for several years. I was lucky enough to get the name Dodge for my rogue. I was running a random a month or so and got a whisper from the tank. 'Hey do you play Exalted by chance?' Turns out it was a GM from a game I had been involved in AGES ago! What gave it away, I guess, is that my rogue is a redhead and has a black cat that's always out, just like my old character. It was pretty awesome.

I've had a lot of good runs in randoms but only a few were memorable.
Heroic VH, you got your three DPS, you got your Tank and you got your Healer. Wait a sec, why is the healer in Kitty form? and what the hell is the tank doing? Oh well, I'll just whack stuff. At the end of the run I actually made a comment, "It was fun trying to guess which one of you was healing?" and one of them responded, "what healer? oh, and while we're at it, what tank?" It was just one massive DPS race although it did explain why they posted recount after every boss fight. Funnest run. No wipes, hell noone even died, fun as hell. lol

I actually more often have good experiences than bad. I guess I'm just lucky like that.
There are two instances that stick out to me the most though.
The first was when my guild leader picked back up her level 70 prot warrior. I was leveling my paladin (ret), and decided to pick up a holy offspec. She helped me gather a horrible mishmash of gear ranging from cloth to plate, and then hop into a random together. We ended up with an absolutely fantastic group.
We explained that she was out of practice and I was used to healing as a disc priest (WHERE ARE MY GROUP HEALS?!) and everyone was okay with it. We made it through with only one issue, a warlock who couldn't control his aggro (aoe before the WARRIOR TANK could grab mobs), who left. He was quickly replaced, and we ended up running with the same group several more times before calling it a night... but not before chatting with two of the other players about general stuff.
The second was when I was playing around on my alliance DK. I don't really play her seriously, since she's DPS and I prefer (gasp) tanking, but I decided to run some randoms in outland anyway, just for fun. I landed with a resto shaman and a mage who turned out to be some of the most plesant people. Like the aforementioned group, I ended up hanging out with them for several more dungeons. After the second, we picked up a dk tank who actually knew what she was doing, and was incredibly nice about it. Even when she died and I picked up the mobs (or in one case, the boss... without heals), everyone was okay with it, and we ended up laughing about it.
I hope to run into those people again.
