"when Tiwaz becomes a teenager i'm getting a bigger house and she can have her own section, I dont care what species we are when females hit puberty we need our space and the public is safest if thier not in our danger zone". Talon followed Polecat towards the kitchen " For now i'm simply contetent to have another unique child wanderign me house although i really wish she wouldn't call me mom."
Tiwaz grabbed her own paper and gently took the pen from Ezra. she palced them on the floor then lay flat out on her belly with her head propped up on her orb and began to draw. " just drawing with pen is ok atleast it's something. what are you gonna draw?"

"Ezra's got his own room at my place, but he's been out camping and stuff with me before. He's used to roughing it." Rummaging through the cabinets, Polecat pulled out a package of cocoa mix and some cups. "Here we go! We could boil the water, but that's a little too fancy for me. Usually I just nuke it at home," she said cheerfully, pouring water into her mug.
Ezra frowned slightly, nibbling the end of his pen. "I dunno. I guess I'll draw a house. I like drawin' houses." Ezra liked drawing buildings of all kinds, actually. His mom said that he was a great artist for his age. Already planning out the house he would sketch, he glanced up at Tiwaz. "What're you gonna draw?"

Polecat shrugged, happily shoving her mug into the microwave. "Eh, takes too much time. Why not use a microwave if you've got one?" Polecat had spent a lot of time roughing it far from civilization, and as long as she had the opportunity to use modern conveniences then she was going to use them all she could.
What would he look like grown up? It was hard to think of himself as an adult. He supposed he would look just the same, only taller. "That's cool. I dunno what kinda house I'll draw. I guess I'll see when 'm done." Ezra began to sketch. He didn't want to draw an ordinary house, or a castle, exactly. Maybe he would draw a strange foreign house, like a little castle.

"Ummm." Removing her cocoa from the microwave, Polecat paused to sip it as she thought. "You know, I'm not sure how many Tales there are now. Maybe twenty? Less? Somewhere around there." As for people to avoid... Polecat hadn't gotten a particularly bad impression from anyone in the shop so far. "Ezra got in a bit of a scrap with a Tale named Tybalt when he was a baby, but I haven't met any nasty Tales or Authors here," she said finally.
Ezra laughed delightedly at the picture. "I sure look big!" It was, he thought, a most excellent drawing. "I'm not done wiv my picture yet." He flicked his tongue at his paper, thoughtfully. His house thing was looking pretty cool, but it could be better. He added some castle-like turrets and a moat with an alligator in it. A happy alligator.
((That's such a cute idea! xD ))

Polecat snorted into her cocoa. "An army? Wow, isn't that a scary thought?" She leaned over the kitchen counter, still chuckling at the idea. Scary indeed! "Aren't you going to make some cocoa, Talon?" Not sure about the other woman's boiling vs microwaving preferences, Polecat hadn't made her a cup. She felt awkward about drinking while Talon had none.
"You finished your drawin' pretty fast, Tiwaz," Ezra said, looking up from his picture. He liked drawing, but he didn't want her to get bored waiting for him. The weird glass-looking object on her neck drew his attention. Somehow, he hadn't really noticed it before. "What's that ball thing?" he asked, scribbling a bit more on his house. He didn't want to be rude, but he really was curious.

Talon nodded and took the other cup Polecat had taken out of the cupboard and place some powder and water in it. " Must have chocolate or die," she place the cup on the microwave and punched in the same time Polecat had. She figured she ought to be polite both to polecat and follow her lead as well as the owners of the shops in not making a mess.
" I dunno" Tiwaz replied " all i know is that it feels good to have with me and I like it. Did you coemewith anything special to you?" she inquired.

"I feel that way all the time," Polecat said gravely, taking a sip from her own mug. "Chocolate is essential, especially in this weather."
"It's pretty," Ezra said, looking up once more to examine the ball. "I was born with a pillow, my mom says. 'An a shirt, too. 'Course I don't remember too good, but I still got the pillow." Even though he had seen lots of nature programs about baby animals being born (none about baby humans yet, of course!) it didn't seem odd to Ezra that he had been 'born' wearing clothes. Who would want to be born naked? So embarrassing. Ezra may not have had much that needed covering, so to speak, but he had his dignity.

"Fall is my favorite season! You get a little of everything, it's wonderful." Polecat was from more tropical climes and enjoyed the novelty of cold weather, but she was getting a little sick of it. Make that a lot sick of it.
"Yeah, 'magine bein' born without clothes! That would be weird." Ezra stuck his tongue out, disgusted at the thought. "I watched a lot of animal shows, n baby animals're born without clothes. But they got, like, fur n stuff." Ezra squinted thoughtfully, pondering the second part of her statement. Sleeping for a long time before his mom found him... that sounded kind of creepy. Ezra imagined himself lying asleep, alone in a dark room, for years. Something about the thought made him shiver.

Talon smiled and took her cup out of the microwave." well i can trvael to different worlds and plains and existance when I get sick of one place but I'd rather not uproot all my charges. I'm lookign foreward to summer and teaching Tiwaz how to swim, assumign I can get her too let go of that orb long enough"
" Fur would be cool, I wish I had blavk fur with silver patterns like on myw ings then i'd be way more intrestign like you.". Already for the young girl the grass was greener on the other side, what she was simply didn't satify her she longed to be more and better.

"Hey, that's a pretty cool talent," Polecat said, leaning back against the counter. She had lived in Gaia too long for anything to faze her. "I tried to teach Ezzy to swim last year, but he's not too good at it yet."
Ezra secretly thought that his spiky black and yellow patterns were way cooler than boring old normal human skin, but he was too polite to say so. "Well, your wings're pretty cool. I'd look funny wiv wings, but I like 'em."
