I have questions and obvious answers, but the variety of answers is so great that you usually get it wrong, some find me interesting and other find me annoying, what am I?

what is:
greater than god
more evil than the devil
the poor have it
the rich need it
and if you eat it, you'll die??
and the next is,
if you have it you want to keep it.
if everyone else has it you dont.
what is it?
can anyone answer these???
