Fauzi giggled with excitement, eyeing the cricket carefully. "It is beautiful... but still not quite as beautiful as mama." He whispered. The pup cautiously stepped closer, and watched as the cricket bounced. "I won't squish it. I'mma get it." He scanned the ground, the bug seemed to go invisible as it landed amoung the rocks and pale grass. Fauzi pinpointed its location when a pebble shifted, "GOTCHA!" The blue pup leaped at the pebble, wagging his rear end wildly. "I GOT IT!" He gently lifted a paw to examine his prize.. but it wasn't there. Fauzi gasped and looked up. The cricket was hopping away! Fauzi huffed loudly and pranced after it again. "Come back here!"

He watched his son chase after the cricket and all Ade could do was laugh. "Oh no! It's getting away!" He exclaimed, giggling happily as he ran after Fauzi and the cricket. "Let's get it!" He pounced after his son and the cricket, his tail a blur. "We can get it! Let's get it!" The little bug was proving to be difficult to catch, but they would get it. "Is it pretty enough for your mommy?" He asked, grinning widly, jumping from here to there.

Fauzi couldn't get any more excited! He repeatedly pounced at the cricket, failing to capture it every time. Occaisionally loosing track of the insect, Fauzi would gaze around blankly until it revealed itself again. "Where did it go! Oh there it is! I GOT IT! I GOT IT! ... Wait, where did it go? Oh! Here it is!" He laughed, stumbling into the dirt to take a rest. "It's perfect for mama. If only we could catch it!" The pup panted heavily, eyes narrowing in on the cricket in front of him. "Stop moving so much!" Fauzi shouted at it.

Ade couldn't help it. He was laughing so hard that it was nearly impossible for him to stand up. Watching Fauzi jump around trying to get the cricket was just so amusing! "Want me to give it a try?" The adult wild dog asked as he padded over to Fauzi and lightly nuzzled the younger canine's head. "Maybe I'll have better luck." Crickets were indeed tricky bugs after all.

With a gentle coo, Fauzi returned his fathers nuzzle. "Sure, you can try!" The pup giggled. "But it's probably too fast for you, too!" He jumped to his paws, inevitably frightening the cricket. "Uh oh! There it goes, papa! Go get it! Get it for mama!" With his tail thrashing violently, Fauzi began barking and dashing in circles around Adejola.

"Prolly!" Ade giggled, nuzzling his son again before he glanced back toward the cricket. He turned to bound after it, purposely making sure it looked like he was having trouble. It was only to make Fauzi laugh though. After chasing hares, crickets were nothing. The wild dog was giggling so hard that he was actually falling over his feet as he ran after the little bug. Finally, he pounced and gently caught the cricket in his mouth. He held it carefully in his teeth and gave his head a shake so that he could stun the little thing before he dropped it at Fauzi's feet.

Fauzi cheered Adejola on, completely oblivious of his charade. The pup rolled onto his back, finding his fathers giggling to be infectious. The upside-down perspective just made it even funnier. Fauzi howled with laughter as he squirmed. The laughter came to a sudden halt, and Fauzi flipped over to watch his father come back with the cricket. He gasped. "Wow! You got it! That's so neat! Did you kill it?" Fauzi poked at the creature gently with his nose. "It's even prettier up close!"

The new father puffed up proudly as his son gasped. Puppies were just so sweet! Ade nuzzled the younger male before shaking his head. "Nope, it's still alive. I just made it go to sleep for a bit so that you could carry it to Mommy all by yourself. Isn't that great? Come on! Let's go find her!" He waited until Fauzi had picked up the little cricket before he pranced back toward the den, peering around for his mate. "'Zuuuuuuri!" Ade called, his orange tipped toes barely brushing the ground as he skipped along.

Her ears flicking up, Uzuri slowly opened her eyes. She was in their den, napping to gather her strength again. Even since the nine little ones came, she had been so tired, but she never regretted the decision to have them. They were theirs and nothing made her happier.
Her head lifted, and she rolled over, recognizing the voice to be Ade's. She knew he went out with one of the pups, and her heart skipped, nervous that maybe they were hurt. Now standing, she emerged from the den, squinting in the light of the day. Her blue eyes swiveled around, searching for Ade.
"Ade!" Her tail faintly wagged as she saw him, a soft glow coming onto her face. "Is something the matter?" She couldn't help but ask; it was a mother's instinct, she supposed.

"Thanks papa!" Fauzi giggled, gently plucking the cricket and trotting behind his dad with his tail held high. He couldn't wait to see the look on his mothers face when she saw this gorgeous insect.
Fauzi mimicked everything Adejola was doing, from his call to his skip. "Zuuuuuriii! ... Whoops!" He'd dropped the cricket, and bent over to gently scoop it up again in his maw. "It's tickling my mouth a little." The pup giggled, making sure it didn't fall again.
"Mama!" Fauzi zoomed in front of Ade to nuzzle Uzuri's leg. "Look what we got you, Mama!" He placed the cricket on her paw and beamed up at her. "It's pretty!"

As his eyes locked on his mate, Ade's tail moved even faster. He bounced foward and nuzzled the blue female reasurringly. "Wrong? No, nothing's wrong." Not anymore at least, he reminded himself as he glanced to Fauzi's ankle. "Fauzi just wanted to give you a present he found. And I just wanted to see you." The wild dog licked at her ear before he nuzzled his son's blue and white head. As the cricket was dropped before Uzuri, Adejola's grin widened. "Isn't it pretty? Fauzi found it all by himself!"

"Oh did he?" Uzuri gazed down at her small son; he was so adorable. He had the eyes of his grandmother, whom Uzuri was quite fond of. She nuzzled him, happy to see how the two had been bonding over the day.
"It's absolutely gorgeous, dear." She leaned down, eyeing the cricket gingerly. It must've been a boy thing, to go hunting crickets, but it was pretty, nonetheless. "That must've been really hard!" Her eyes widened a bit, squishing her nose against Fauzi's tiny one. "I've never caught a cricket before. You must be pretty good." She grinned, flicking her eyes over to Ade for a moment. Things felt so nice when the family was together.

"Yeah, it was really hard!" Fauzi giggled as he squished noses with his mother. He wagged his tail, squirming in place to tell Uzuri all about the adventure. "It was real hard! And it kept hopping so much! It wouldn't even stop when I asked it to! I chased it for a long time! A real long time! We went sooo far! But then papa caught it and made it go to sleep so I could give it to you! It was so funny, I laughed until my face was sore! My belly was sore too. And my ankle. But it's okay now! It was a lot of fun!"
The pup was talking so fast without a pause that all his words collided into each other in a jumbled mess. Once he was through he let his tongue roll out of his mouth and beamed at his mother once more.

"Yeah! Yeah! It was bunches of fun and it was all Fauzi's idea! And he said we could give it a pretty name and then you would chase it and it'd be silly. Fauzi found the cricket all by himself! Isn't that great? He's getting so big! And he looks just like you!" Ade exclaimed, his words flying from his mouth just as quickly as Fauzi's. It didn't matter that he was grown. Adejola acted just like Fauzi did now that he was excited. The canine was bouncing up and down, his tail moving insanely fast as he nuzzled his head against Uzuri's shoulder. "Isn't that the best?"
