Yvette probably would have contently continued nibbling on that piece of cake until the end of lunch period, but Azzo's most recent question had caused her to pause in her efforts. She set down the piece of cake and looked at the boy.

She still had that whipped cream on her upper lip.

The question was completely out there in her opinion. It went from lunch time talk to a question about the goings on in the city. The girl's eyebrows seemed to knit together into a bit of a worried expression. "I don't really know much about anything going on in Destiny City. Daddy mentioned how he doesn't want me to get mixed up in this Sailor Scout business though. That's all I really know." If only she knew that the time she was leaving the hospital could have probably been considered a strange happening, she might have been some help.

The girl listened to Azzo's commentary carefully, nodding her head as she resumed her cake nibbling. Where it would have taken a normal person maybe a few minutes to finish off the sweet treat, it took the girl nearly twice that amount of time to get through half of it. She paused from her efforts when she managed to catch something strange in what Azzo had mentioned.

"Not 'them' you'd be worried about? What should we be worried about then?" Poor naive Yvette, not really paying much attention to the news and getting all her information second-hand from her parents. Poor naive Yvette, not even aware that there were monsters in the city. Poor naive Yvette sat there, looking at Azzo with near puppy eyes as she waited for him to explain what she should be afraid of.

Monsters?

In the city?

REALLY?!!

If she had been the one to see these so-called monsters, she probably would have doubted it more than she did right now. Yvette would have blamed it on her imagination or something of the sort. Yet, a fellow schoolmate had seen the monsters, apparently chasing some Sailor Senshi. There was still a part of her that suspected this could be a mean trick, but another part of her attempted to point out Azzo just shared shortcake with her. Someone who was nice enough to share a treat with her couldn't be that cruel.

For a moment, she didn't say a word. Not one single word as she tried to fully absorb the message he had been offering. Yet eventually, she could not help but ask "Does that mean you've seen Sailor Senshi too?" She couldn't help but feel a bit stupid after asking such, since he had probably meant that he saw them being chased by the monsters. In an effort to ease her self doubt, she resumed her nibbling.

Within two seconds flat, her doubt in what he was saying went from unwavering to uncertain. Yes, he was saying that he had not had any drugs, but whenever you first woke up, you really weren't aware you had been drugged.

Not wanting to seem rude, she nodded her head as she finally finished up her piece of shortcake. It only took her about 7 minutes to finish something that only took 3 minutes. After this accomplishment, she licked her upper lip to make sure it was clean before she picked up her sandwich again and began her nibbling.

It took her a few more minutes to finish that first piece of her sandwich, but when she did, she finally offered in a delayed fashion "Uh... um... th-thank you for sharing that with me." Yvette really should have said that to begin with before starting on her sandwich, and mentally she beat herself up over something so silly. The only hint at her embarrassment was the color of her cheeks.

Quietly, the girl pushed the plastic container closer to the puppy-haired boy. As much as Yvette loved being around people, sometimes it was awkward when she couldn't come up with anything else to say. She would just grow really quiet and look at the person, as if waiting for them to say something else. With her mouth also consistently full of her tiny nibbles of food, she really wasn't able to add to the conversation at all. She was able to observe his glance to the clock, which also made her curious. Glancing over her watch on her left hand wrist, she noted that lunch was going to be over within 5 minutes.

Her eyes looked over her lunch and she let out a wispy sigh. There was no way she'd be able to finish all of her food before her next class. Mid-bite, she began to put away her own lunch, tucking all the left overs in her lunch sack with her sandwich hanging from her mouth. It would make a nice snack while she waited at the bus stop later that afternoon.

"B-b-but..." Her sandwich fell out of her mouth and onto the table, the cucumber spilling out onto the tabletop. Her tiny lips frowned, then looked to Azzo.

Azzo looked like he wouldn't be taking no for an answer. With a hesitant sigh, she retreated with a simple "Th-thank you..." Shyly, she took up the container and tucked it in her lunch sack as well. Why would he be this nice to her? It was a baffling concept. With her lunch tucked away safely, she swept up the remains of her sandwich and stood up. She didn't say goodbye, since her mouth shortly had her broken up sandwich obscuring any sound she might have made. Instead, she lifted the hand which held onto her sack and waved it at him.

After that, she began to walk towards her locker. Normally she wouldn't have left so early, but now she had to make this extra stop since she still had leftovers from lunch. Free shortcake wasn't a bad thing. Not at all.
