My problem with them is that they do work. And that they open portals to places which lets entities walk right into your home if you aren't careful. I've used one and I wish I hadn't-I didn't experience anything freaky really its just this...energy thing I'm receptive to. You invite nice spirits but theres a whole lot of mean ones waiting to waltz right in pretending to be nice at first.
I just...no.
I would never use one in my house again.
I want mine OUT of the house if anything.

DarkRose072687 To the Goddess I give my heart My friend recently told me she is getting one.....I am very freaked out by them and refuse to use them...so here is what I am asking......
What do you think of Ouija Boards? Do you think that they even really work? If so are there any tips you can give me that I can pass along to her for using it safely? (Goddess knows I'm not going near that thing!) Forever and Ever  Ugh is right, we need a sticky answering the Ouiji board questions, the only safe way to use it is by not useing it. If your that afraid of it, it shouldn't even need to be discussed.

i have a question: what if you used it outside? like i mean in the middle of nowere-far away from were you live-outside
would the non-good entities just follow you home? [[because if they are strong enough, im pretty sure they can follow you from place to place]]

So if they did draw something in, it wouldn't be to that place. It would be to the ones whom called it. Intentional or not, friendly or otherwise.

Absolutely.
Especially if they were of the more...dark variety. I'm sure something tried to attach itself to me. I'm so much more paranoid since I used that board. Often times I feel...well its hard to explain-I wouldn't even know where to begin and it'd be off topic here anyway >.<.
I know it sounds crazy guys but honestly its the truth. Don't use one of these if you don't know exactly what you're doing!
Often these spirits will attach themselves to you because you're living and they're not. They can feed off you emotionally and its just...not a good thing.

my peice of advice is.... don't let her/him even touch it...
i don't care if it was just saposta be a game at first but those things are rigged and riddled with openings for deamons or dark entities. there s no way to portect yourself from one... deamons now use those things to get passed your defences.
they will feed off of your emotions like Mika Lockheart said but they will also do other things. freak accidents, sicknesses(being that you usually have an impenatrable immune system but then you get really sick), you know the lot. and yes those things do sometimes happen due to deamons(though not all the time)... the things that come out of Ouiji Boards are nothing but bad news... i wouldn't even use them for fodder!
tell her/him just to get a pendulum and a tarro deck instead... just as fun and not nearly as dangerous...

They can feed off you emotionally and its just...not a good thing. i thought so i watch too many ghost shows xD i know you shouldnt belive in EVERYTHING you see on tv, but i do belive that ghosts can follow you around thats why moving to a new house because of spirts isnt a good idea because they will just follow you and maybe even get more mad at you for making them follow you but anyway, common sence to apply the same consept to Ouija Boards

I've used one.
I don't think they're dangerous, all of my encounters were mainly just spirits in the area who were bored and wanted to talk a little bit.
I also tried it with my eyes closed and it all was jibberish.
So you can take your own theories on it on how dangerous it really is, but I doubt the power and backlash Ouija boards get due to the fact nothing coherent came out when my eyes were shut when I tried to use it.

the boards arnt the worst thing in the world im sure you now the "science behind the movement"
the greatest mistake in useing them is people often use them blindly. if you do this you pick up anything near by. even your own inner demons and many things you dont want to mess with.
you should cleanse the board if its not brand new or you feel uncomfort from it. you should then cleanse your self and the area your going to be working with and then invite what you want to talk to into the space.
after all this if something dangour still tries to get your attention well it was going to one way or another and it might be a good idea to listen up.
if the board is really bothering you mabye its not for you. dont force yourself to use anything.
the worst thing you can do is particapate with the spirtual world just for fun. because if you go their to play its going to play right back.
as for closing your eyes and getting jibberish makes sence. spirits actually utilize the eyes of the medium during a Ouija session in order to point to the letters and words needed to form a message. so if you close your eyes no one can see.

i just watched paranormal activity were the board caught on fire when no one was home O.o
and i am well aware that its just a movie but im not going near one of those Ouija boards unless i cleansed the room 4 times with sage and cast a very strong magic circle XD

That stuff can happen, and that demon that possessed her must have been a very old one. for him to do all that lol.

I have one. Basically, it is a basic way to communicate between you and a spirit that might be lurking in your house or nearby. Some say that the spirit itself moves it, but others say that the spirit makes a connection with you to make you move it. I think that is correct, otherwise why would you put your fingers on it? It is said to work better if there are 2 people because one person is moving it slowly and trying to make the other person think that it is a spirit. It is a game. I suppose if there really is a spirit then the ouija board would work, but it is a game to scare people, often used at parties. If you do make a real connection or if a spirit is really there then you might feel cold, get goose bumps, find breathing harder, and a few other signs. If you feel you have made a real connection then you should smudge or purify the area afterwards so that any lingering spirits are driven off so that they can't possess or harm you.

I want mine OUT of the house if anything. it is not the board itself that is doing it, it is whoever is using it. And the ouija board is to be used if you have any spirits that may be lingering in your house so you can connect with them, you aren't really opening any portals or anything. And, for the main part the ouija board is just a game. It is mainly used at parties or sleep overs for younger teenagers to scare each other. But having the ouija board won't harm you. It is just the same as any other piece of cardboard, except it has letters on it.
