((Maaaaaaaaaaajor timeskip. Let's...play ball! If you have a fox that was in Bamboo before, go ahead and post. If not, follow the instructions on the front page!~

WELCOME BACK!!!!))

Sparkio was sitting perfectly still, which was odd enough by itself, but the fact that he was alone and being perfectly silent as well was an even stranger sight.

Ever since he had become Elder, he'd noticed a profound...loneliness there in the Bamboo Forest. Even the Bamboo Fox hadn't been able to comfort him completely: he needed his Tribe.

Which was why he'd gone on a three-day hunt throughout the forest, looking for any of the foxes still with him. He'd searched far and wide, but all he'd been able to find was Azzurre, the Tribe Guardian (who, in his opinion, could've done a much better job guarding the tribe...), who had promised to use her...his...its wings to continue the search.

Food had been brought by someone (he wasn't sure who), and Sparkio had eaten a small bit just to keep his strength up. His eyes were closed, his ears pricked -- he was waiting for anything; a smell, a sound, a hint that any of his Tribe was still around. He needed them.

There had to be some somewhere...didn't there? Better yet, maybe they'd gone to find new foxes, ones that would follow them here. Then they could be a true Tribe again, filled with laughter and mirth and happiness and wholeness. That is what Sparkio, the new Elder of Bamboo Tribe, wanted more than anything in the world.

((Let's see if Jin has anyyyy personality left.))

User Image

Jin laid motionless on the springy grass of the tribe that had once felt like home to her. She could remember the days where the tribe was bursting with life and craziness and then Panda-chan and Kure went misisng. It didn't take long for Hikari to follow his father.

And he hadn't even tried to take her with him. Jon's mate had left her with nothing but barren tribe territory and an emptiness inside. The blue vixen had never imagined this happening, especially not in such a formerly happy place.

Jin growled at old memories, pawing violently at grass in her vicinity. She hated this place now, but she had nowhere else to go.

Sparkio's ears twitched forward and his eyes snapped open; he could've sworn he heard something.

Not comfortable with brushing it off as the wind, Sparkio stood fluidly, stretching stiff muscles. Please let it be something other than a squirrel...He needed some sign from the Modieties above that this was not in vain.

He padded through the land quietly, focused, but he quickly grinned widely -- a fox! A blue fox! With the Bamboo tattoo on her tail! They hadn't all been wiped out!

"Thank the 'Deities," Sparkio breathed aloud, quickly shaking his head to himself. "Hello," He said louder, pushing his way through the underbrush. He knew he hadn't met her before, but somehow her name slid easily into place. Jin.

"Are you alright, Jin?" Sparkio asked gently, cocking his head to the left. "What's wrong?" As his only member so far, it was his duty to care. And he did: if something was disturbing her, he wanted to know immediately.

Jin vaguely heard someone greeting...her? But she didn't really care at the moment. She was beyond angry: at Kure, at Panda-chan, at the Modeities, at Hikari, at every fox who had abandoned this place and left her alone. She didn't know what she did to deserve being left without anyone even noticing.

The blue fox absently realized that whoever this was knew her name. Had someone she known stayed behind? Hopes bolstered, Jin lifted her head to look at who it was, only to deflate immediately.

A. She had no idea who this was.
B. He was an Elder, and she could see the Bamboo tattoo. He was her Elder now, which meant dealing with leaders who would leave and expect her to do things until then. Not to mention she couldn't leave now if she wanted to.

Jin looked away from the Elder, paused for a moment, then went at the ground with her paw with more force. This brightly colored, random Elder was doing nothing to improve her mood, and she had no intentions of respecting him right now when he just popped up.

Sparkio resisted the urge to sigh internally, laying down on the cold ground beneath him.

"I'm Sparkio," He told her, watching her tear apart the earth beneath her claws. He made no move to stop her; indeed, he was halfway tempted to join her. "I don't think we met...before." Sparkio fell quiet for a few moments, unsure of how to proceed.

"I don't know if any of the others are out there, Jin. The Modieties obviously do not want Kure or Panda-chan to return to their rightful positions." Sparkio looked down for a moment then; he missed his Elders too. That was one of the ways that his new life hadn't really sunk in yet -- what about them?

Shaking his head to clear it, he continued, "But I know they would want us to carry on with our lives, wouldn't they? I learned the sooner one accepts what has happened the sooner one's happy again," Trust me, Sparkio wanted to say, I didn't volunteer for this. But he kept his mouth shut about that at least, then slowly stood back up.

"What do you think we should do?"

The red muzzle of the fox touched the ground as he sniffed, trying to pick up the scents of the other members. He remembered when this tribe had thirty or so members. Now he couldn't even manage to find one. Oh wait... What was this? He took in a deeper breath. A scent? Two scents? The red fox raised his head, swishing his tail which bore the black tattoo of his tribe.

He padded over to the scents he smelled. When he arrived, he froze, a look of anxiety crossing his face. He knew that blue vixen lying in the grass. He knew her all too well. He remembered those claws... The ones she was using to tear apart the blades of grass before her. They had once tore at his flesh... It was so long ago, but Kyoufu remembered it as if it were yesterday... No matter. He was older and stronger now, not the mere adolescent fox he once was. He could fend for himself if needed.

Kyoufu took in a breath, eyes falling on the Elder beside her. His head tilted with some confusion. So this was the new Elder? How very odd... Kyoufu had no recollection of meeting whoever this was ever before. He was somewhat baffled. Either way this fox was the Elder, and respect must be shown. Kyoufu bowed his head to the Elder. "Hello."

((Was Jin involved in that? Oo I always jsut kind of treated it as an AU msitake that didn't actually happen anyways...XD))

"If I wanted wisdom, Elder," I would have asked for it, Jin snorted. Normally she'd be appaled at her behavior, but she couldn't care right now. She was seething inside, and the whole cliche "move on because the Modeities have a plan for you" thing was taxing on her nerves.

She glanced up at the newcomer, remembering the face but not the name. "Hello," she greeted tiredly before standing up. Jin had no use for other foxes; they left, and she wasn't in the mood for a cycle. Perhaps she'd leave Bamboo and go visit her brother, Sheik. Anything but sit here with two foxes she didn't even know.

Romi made his way through the forest, zigging and zagging, hopping and frolicing. This place was just too cool. It was just so pretty, so clean. As Romi continued his wanderings, he wondered why there where no other foxes enjoying such a place. Surely someone else had come to realize the beauty such a forest held and what peace it brought. Oh well. Whether there were other foxes or not was not much of a concern. He liked this place and that was all that mattered.

Not much farther down the way, Romi caught the scent of a few foxes. As he got closer, he could tell there were three of them. This was probably their land and it would be rude of him not to stop by and say hello. Unable to resist meeting new foxes, Romi walked onto the scene.

"Ah!" Romi exclaimed upon seeing the two foxes and elder all had matching tatoos, "So I see I was right, there is a tribe here who finds joy in this land. I must say, this a magical place you have here. This forest is just wonderful!" He sat down happily smiling at the three, oblivious to any negativity coming from them.

Koji had left his lovely home in the bamboo. He had left to go find his wife and and his other two kids that are always with his lovely wife Kaia. He hadnt really known what was going on in his tribe for sometime now cause he was dealing with problems in his own family. He was following the shadow of the tribe guardain that had come out to find him and bring him back. On the way he decided to gather some food and bring it back to his tribe.

User Image
Azzurre was high in the sky scouting out the land in front of the tribe member Koji. Hir wanted to be useful to this tribe unlike last time when hir wasnt able/allowed to help with anything, but hir would be here from the beingining to end so that should make a difference right? Once Koji entered Bamboo lands Azzurre nodded to him and flew ahead to find the elder and in form him of Koji's return.

User ImageNarnia giggled and bounced, dancing playfully around her rather tired companion. "I'm sorry for wakin' ya, Aara! But there are SOO many foxes in this Tribe! Not that I've seen any of them, but Chi-Chi said that Rahu had tried to get in, but left because 'The foxes were so much like Buchii and Narnia!'", she said, giggling and pawing at the other, in attempt to make her react. Narnia sighed mentally, not seeing how someone that was once so optimistic and chipper, become so down.

The orange and rainbow accented vixen reviewed what she knew about this tribe that she had in mind. It was fun and happy and well-stocked in members, from what she had been told. Perhaps there was someone amoung those jolly, happy-go-lucky members that could make sure that Aara was happy again. Narnia surely hoped so! The nocturnal flame-patterned vixen was so kind and sweet, it just didn't seem right for her to be so down!

"'sides! I need someone to talk to if I get accepted! Someone I know! You'll love it! It's exactly what you need to pick yourself back together!", she stated, cautiously poking at her friend's recent heart ache.

User ImageAaraendorlia sighed at Narnia's attempt at comfort, making the pain in her chest squeeze a little. She cared about the little fluffball of orange and rainbow and energy, but she just wasn't up to her old spunk yet. That, and the fact she was wake LONG before she was supossed to be, made her very tired and mellow.

She knew it was silly to have even dreamed of a life with Thea, the Lunarie Career that Aara had cared so deeply about. She even considered moving very far away, in the middle of winter, in order to be with the paint-splattered vixen. But, while they had really hit it off, it wasn't meant to last. They'd lost contact, lost the spark. Aara sighed again, shaking her head and making her various modifications clink and ripple and sparkle. It hadn't helped much that, now that she was fully nocturnal, she had barely anyone to spent time with. 'Except Narnia, Shroka, and Eirian...', she thought, smiling a little at the oh-so-very-different mother and daughter combination.

The pair of friends entered together to the Bamboo Tribe's supposed reformation/reunion. Blinking in unison, they both cocked their heads and looked at the foxes gathered there, attmepting to take them all in. One elder and four other normal-sized foxes weren't exactly what they had expected, or even hoped for, but where better than nothing!!

Aara bowed respectfully to the Elder, before rising and sending all the other present a hesitant smile. "Hello. We're, um, looking for the Bamboo Tribe...", she said, her voice wondering off in shyness and she looked around to avoid her embarrassment.

Narnia, however, was exstatic! She bowed as well, but practically beamed at every living soul. "Hi! Hi! I'm Narnia and she's Aaraendorlia! She has a long name, so, she likes to be called Aara! We wanna join your Tribe, Mister Fluffy Black-And-Red Elder Sir!", she said brightly, barely able to contain her excitement. She bounced from side to side, still standing in once spot as opposed to how she usually was when she was hyper and anxious.

Sparkio just sighed at jin's answer, knowing it was not entirely unexpected. He couldn't blame her, in all honesty, because he almost felt the same way.

Until a new Fox --Kyoufu, the little voice in his mind told him, the same way it had with Jin-- appeared on the scene, apparently terrified of Jin for reasons beyond Sparkio's understanding. Standing fluidly as Kyoufu's eyes traveled to him, Sparkio offered a small smile, nodding his head.

"Hello," he greeted, adding for clarification, "My name is Sparkio." Before he could say more, though, a fox Sparkio had never seen before approached, white with pale rainbow markings. Sparkio felt a pain in his heart as he spoke, knowing how he had --how all of them had-- once thought the exact thing about their lands, and now how all of them were having trouble even putting a smile on. They had all lost so much...

Sparkio shook his head quickly, reminding himself that the 'Dieties had sent this new fox to them for a reason, so he should be accepted, especially as he seemed to embody everything the Tribe seemed to stand for. Should stand for.

"Hello," Sparkio said, pulling a small smile to his lips. "Thank you. What is your name?" Sparkio asked, tilting his head curiously to one side. "Please, join us, if you find joy and magic within these woods," Sparkio glanced at the two older members of the Tribe, blinking in surprise when Azzurre and Koji joined them. Thank Deities.

"Greetings. Welcome back, Azzurre and Koji, come sit; I'm sure we'd all like to hear of your adventures after we gather ourselves and decide what we are to do," Sparkio added to Koji, his smile widening. Maybe they could do this after all. Already there were five others, and--what's this? More?

"You found what you are looking for then," Sparkio responded, amused at the white-and-sunset colored one. "Would you?" He looked between them, his smile still on his face.

"Well..." Sparkio looked back at the others, then spoke, addressing them all, old and new. "Our Tribe has been greatly affected this winter. Many of our brothers and sisters are gone," then to the three new foxes, "So we could use all the foxes we can get, if we are to restore this Bamboo Tribe to what it used to be,"

He glanced down at Jin, his smile fading slightly; he could tell she wasn't any more pleased than she had been a few minutes ago, but he didn't know how to comfort her properly, other than to say he felt the same way.

"It is a pleasure to meet you both, Aaraendorlia and Narnia," Sparkio added to the females, dipping his head slightly as he tried to remember where he'd heard that name before, Aara, it sounded so familiar but he couldn't quite place it.

It was about then that Sparkio spotted that Koji had brought food, and he smiled again. "Thank you, Koji. You might make a good hunter," Smiling faintly, Sparkio pulled the food into the ragged circle, then stepped back, allowing his Tribe to eat first; that was the way Elders should work. "Eat, if you are hungry, then we reach a consensus of what is to be done,"

Aaraendorlia listened carefully to the Elder, nodding slightly in agreement to the red and black patterned Elder's statements. The winter had been costly to Starrla's grouping of friends as well. Sorren, Harvey, and Bartimeaus had all traveled south to the desert lands of the brother's former home in search of relief. Even Aaraendorlia, Aduialendorlia, Perfume, Faye, Starrla, and Patricia had feel a coldness they thought they had escaped from coming their own homeland in the Far North.

But, no matter. Spring was bound to come any time now, she could feel it in the air, and how the moon looked at night. The snow had begun to melt, leaving wilted stalks of grass that would soon be straight and tall under the warming sun's tender care. Not that Aara would know, normally. The moon, while calming and beautiful, did not have the same touch of the sun, which wasn't all that bad. Aara liked how her white fire turned silver in the moon's light, and how her vibrant colors seemed to dull in the presence of the moon. She appreaciated the beauty of all things. But, she feared she might just blind someone when the sun shined on her coat, making it shimmer and glow, her marking and jewelry seeming to gleam.

She shifted uncomfortably, trying hard not to bring attantion to herself when she realized that the Elder had finished speaking. "We would be most honored to help the fabled Bamboo Tribe through this rough time.", she said eloquently, her tail flicking as she then turned and looked at a leaf with a little too much interest to seem nonchalant. She was too nervous to be anything remotely resembling hungry.

Narnia gave a little happy prance around Aara, her joy radiating off her like an internal light that had just been turned on. "Yeah! YEAH! We'll help! We'll be goooooooooddd helpers, 'cause Starrla says we are!", the orange and rainbowed vixen exclaimed, smiling happily at the big Elder. She was staying with the Bamboo Tribe! She wasn't a member(yet!) but this was as good start as any! She giggled a little and decided the prance around some of the other foxes.

She selected her 'prey' carefully. The blue vixen looked a little 'off-bubble' as Faye would say, and the big Elder was too fluffy to pounce. The blun-and-black-and-gray fox was helping, and she didn't wanna be rude. The pastel rainbowy guy was looking pretty comfortable.... But, then there was the solem-looking red normal-sized fox! He looked like he could run fast! She raced in front of him, and then crouched down, her rainbow tail wagging in the air like a flag. A playful and chipper growl rumbled out of her grinning mouth. "Play?", she questioned, looking at him with big sunset colored orbs.

Koji bowed to Sparkio. "Greetings Elder," he said before sitting down. He felt the lose in the tribe. He might have not have been here through everything but he could still feel the difference and that made him shift uneasly and look at Sparkio.

"Daddy, come on, we're almost back home~" Aka chimed out with an enthusiastic wag of her tail, a small smile across her face as she looked back at her father. She and her brothers, Katsu and Shino, had stayed with Yunalesca, their dubbed 'aunt' by Katsu, during the time that the tribe had pretty much fallen apart. Daddy had said something about sticking with them until he returned from going out and looking for their mother.. But Shino had managed to sneak away from the small group and hadn't been seen since then. Sure, he had gone out by himself like that before, but never for this long. The news that Daddy had brought from his search hadn't made their situation any better either. Her mother and the rest of her siblings hadn't been found. Oh well, they'd come back home eventually on their own, right? Aka was sure of it. "Wah!" She stumbled over a young bamboo shoot, going forward and through the bushes close by the small gathering. Bringing herself together, Aka gave a look around and blinked in surprise at what she saw.

"You.." She said with a slight tilt of her head, catching sight of the faintly familiar red and black coloring of the large male. The vixen then came to realize all of the other foxes around, the majority of them new to her. Was this home? No one really looked all that recognizable to her, but.. Oh. That elder. Wasn't that the fox that had led her and the others back home when they were little? He looked an awful lot like him. Aka timidly took a few steps towards the elder, the feeling weird to her. "Ah.. Mr. Sparkio?"

User Image
A grumble came from Shukaku at his daughter's bounciness. Look at her! How happy she was. "Aka, dear, don't be so.. nevermind." He added with a soft sigh of defeat, not wanting to bring conflict or anything of the sort into their family. It was bad enough with Shiranui not being around. And the rest of the children.. And the tribe.. Ugh. 'This isn't how it should be at all. Why can't everything just be like it was when we started Bamboo?! Just a group of happy foxes, a couple of kits running around, and no trouble or anything.' He had been there since the beginning, when the tribe was just a few foxes and two happy elders. Things were sure to be different now, and he'd have to accept it all. Perhaps not all that willingly, but with all of the things he had there, Shu' would push himself to. Man, was this depressing. A missing mate, half of his children suddenly gone along with her, and a crumbling tribe. Hmph.. Shiranui had probably gone off with those damned brothers of hers.

"Ah, what?" He suddenly blurted out with a confused look to his daughter, caught up in his thoughts. What? Where was that girl going?! "Aka, wait." He wasn't asking politely, it was a command coming from the older fox as he shoved his way through the bushes and bamboo. This father didn't want any child of his harmed, and he wasn't about to loose any more family members.

User Image
"Hey, wait for us!" Katsu yelled out with a huff, slowing down his run to a slow walk as he watched his father and sister run off. "Gaaah. They could have at least waited a lil'. Dad always overreacts like that." He stated with a slight grumble, flicking his bushed tail and giving a sideways glance over at the slightly older female walking beside him. "Right, Kris'? Oh, hey! Maybe Johnny will be back home. You never know, eh~" He had always heard word about his adoptive sister's mate, but had never actually seen him before. Supposedly an ex-homicidal maniac or something.. Hah! Sounded neat.

User Image
Krysten reached over and gave her brother a light n** at the ear at hearing his words, the result being a quiet yelp from the male. "Don't call me that. You can go ahead and call me Krissy, just... not Kris'." She flicked her ears back and turned her head to look forward, ignoring him a bit, focusing on getting back to the tribe. "Only Nny, Daddy, and Mom can call me that." The female stated to herself under her breath, giving a nod of her head as if affirming the fact before coming to a stop and simply plopping down to sit. Closing her eyes and taking in a breath, Kris' then looked back at her dubbed 'auntie'. "It.. smells like home, doesn't it?... This is it, Yuna'?"

User Image
"Um.. Yes, I do believe we're close." Yunalesca replied with a nod or two of her head to Krysten, raising her head up to look around the area. Bamboo, bamboo, bamboo.. Oh, a familiar boulder and a morphed staff of the abundant plant. Being a scout during the lively days of the tribe had it's perks! Yes, they had to be close to home. She desperately wished for this not to be some freak dream, eager to possibly see her mate and other children. Things had been a bit.. scrambled, to say the least, as far as their usual visits to each other between their work as scouts for the tribe and all of the things going with the tribe's falling apart went. Her eyes watered as she realized that, yes, they were so close to home. "Oh.." Yuna' raised a front paw and wiped at her eyes, looking around self-consciously before turning her head to look behind her as the rest of their little group moved forward.

"Shino... Come now, Shino. You'll have to face your siblings and father eventually. Shukaku isn't one to punish a child of his that harshly for something like running off for a while. I know your father. Things will be alright.." She spoke in a hushed voice in the direction of the dense bushes to the side, away from where their little family group had walked. Everything was quiet before a rustle came from the foliage and a pair of maroon eyes peered out. Yuna' gave a smile at her nephew, hoping that he would come out and rejoin the group.

User Image
The male looked at his aunt for a long moment, thinking the situation over before letting out a mixed cry of frustration and anger. "..I can't. I don't want to stay here anymore! I don't.. I... nothing I want is here." Shino said with a sigh, keeping his eyes away from Yuna's before speaking again. "I don't want my brother or sister, I don't want the tribe, I don't want this stress. Mother isn't here anymore, and neither are my other siblings! I want to be away from this place." He ranted on, eyes cast down to look at his feet, voice wavering as he spoke. "I want Suna. She.. I... I'm leaving. For good." Pushing his way out of the bushes and into the more open path the group had taken, he came to a halt. "..No. Please tell father that I said 'bye', for now." Without waiting for an answer, Shino fled and backtracked to where they had come from, heading towards that familiar desert area near the tribe's borders. He needed to get away. Now.

Koji watched as his niece came bounding into the area with her father not that far behind her. Once they came fully into the area he called out "Hello Shukaku, Aka. It's nice to see that you both are ok and seem to be doing well. It has been awhile."

Azzurre watched as two more former members of the tribe. Hir sat there quitely but nodded hir's head to them to show aknowledge ment. Hir didnt feel like he was really need at the momment for anything more than an observer which was fine cause that sometimes ment everything was going to go fine.
