I was in my school's all-school musical last year. Yaknow, just to see what it was like.
I made chorus. I wasn't even a very important chorus member. Additonally, the musical itself sucked: it was Meet Me In St. Louis.
Additionally, the musical group was really, really clique-y. I was an outcast. It sucked. ._.
I'm glad I did it, though.

Yeah, cliques, gotta love them. I have to admit that we have cliques within our drama program. Manuel, Phillip, and I make up the 'singers' Matt, Jenny, Antny and Lisa are the 'techies' Brittany, Zach, and Ella are the 'blonde leads' and so forth ^_^

Believe me, highschool is one of the clique-iest places known to mankind. ._. My Intermediate school was more cliquey than my highschool is. Then again were a weird town. about last month we had this all girl assembly on cliques (haha the guys had to sit in class and do work xd ) its for teh 8th graders only since we're going to become highschoolers next year.
things were reported to teh councelor by teachers who overheard several girl conversations in class about other girls and how mean they were, and some were made by other girls, so it was sorta a probelm and we had this survey and assembly just like in the movie mean girls xd
we ended up watching parts of mean girls and watching the directer's cut on the movie as part of the assembly, and then had girls from HS talk to us, they said that HS isn't all that bad and that cliques would disappear adn that we all blend in since we'll be "at the bottom of the food chain" next yr neutral and they said how they felt bad on how they sue to treat others and that crap.
heh xd then they had some of us comment on this situation. omg, it was so unreal, the cliques were so obviously lying, they were acting nice hugging girls that were crying, and saying that this whole clique thing is mean and that stuff,
i thought this was a waste of time, its never going to get better cuase one week later, i overheard some girls talkiing about other girls rolleyes its jsut part of life

I've always loved to sing, so that's why I joined choir. I was in the grade 6 Honor Choir (I think it was grade 6) but then I had to move, so I joined the choir in my new school.. then I moved again in grade 10 and I had to join the girls choir (which sucked.. gah, horrible times!) half the girls there couldn't sing.. then I didnt have any room in my timetable during grade 11, so I was sad. And now, I'm in choir yet again (yay!) and we got to go to a special Honor Choir workshop (which was awesome!) and we go to Banff in April! (YAAAY!) So that should be fun! but, ya, basically joined cause I love to sing! I sing ALL the time.. I think I piss my parents off sometimes because I'm always singing to my loud music! biggrin

Queen Arwen in highschool do you have to actually tryout for the choir? eek sweatdrop or does it depend on the school, cuz i see some of you have said that you had tried out at chorus auditions in 6th grade+ At my school you don't have to audition if you just want to be in say womens choir, but if you wanted to be in the high choirs like Varsity than you have to audition and you have to do ALL the choir stuff that you possibly can.
