 "Nnn..." came the soft reply, slightly murmured as she started to drift off. San was sleeping at Kiko's feet too, so she'd be protected. Kiko murmured things as she slept, and at one point during her long sleep, her eyes fluttered open, and she sat up, facing Ichi. "I like you." Then her eyes closed and she was knocked out cold like usual, a tiny smile on her face as she slept.Tsukiko New Theme

As Kiko spoke in her sleep Ichi pretty much ignored what it was that she was saying; after all she was asleep its not really like she was actually saying them on her own accord. So he simply continued to sit there; his foot tapping ever so slightly on the ground in front of him; however as Kiko looked at Ichi and spoke he was about to reply before Kiko seemed to go back to sleep; Ichi's head tilting to the side slightly; was she still asleep when she said that?... and if so.... that was slightly creepy. He knew people would talk in there sleep every once in a while however for someone to completely open there eyes, talk clearly, and then closed them again; all while completely asleep... that was just plain odd.

Morning came, and Kiko's arms were wrapped around the covers, snuggled up against Ichi. She nuzzled his leg for a moment, hugging it tightly. "Mmorning..." she grumbled quietly, cuddling closer. Whenever Kiko sat up, her hair poofed slightly, giving her the appearance of a sheepdog. Softened, sleepy eyes blinked a few sleep tears away, and she half-grinned at Ichi, before cuddling. Ichi hadn't been able to get to sleep all night long; he had tried a few times but was too... excited? Ether way did didn't really matter; not getting sleep at night didn't really effect Ichi seeing as how now sleeping was more common to Ichi then actually sleeping. As Kiko got up he looked down at her and smiled slightly; normally comments like that would have confused Ichi; but then again Ichi was used to her weird comment; he had been traveling with her for almost a full year. "G-good morning" Ichi said ignoring the comment that she had made; after all there wasn't really anything he could say to her in reply to what she said. "S-so.... Y-you sleep well?" Ichi asked still looking down at her with a smile.

Instead of replying immediately, Kiko scooted closer to Ichi, and touched her nose to his, nuzzling him slightly. "Mmmhhhmmm...." She cuddled him a bit closer than she usually did, murmuring something about how nice he was. Kiko pressed her face into his neck gently, still half-asleep. As Kiko pressed her nose against his and then nuzzled him slightly made him jump slightly and pulled away a bit; that still made him a bit uncomfortable. "S-so.... I t-think we s-should start heading back... up to the L-leaf Village" Ichi said smiling slightly. If what Kirabachi said WAS true; then it sounded like the closer to the village hidden in the leafs they where, then the more likely they where to actually have Lu Find them; or at least show himself; for all Ichi knew; Lu might have already known where they where and was watching the two of them; and just wasn't showing himself. "W-what do.... you think?" Ichi asked looking down at Kiko.

Kiko face planted into the sleeping bag she was on, grinning like an idiot. "Hmmm...S'fine with me...." She wanted to cuddle Ichi, but she was actually waking up now, so there'd be no point. And if he wanted to leave, there was no time for cuddles. Just traveling.Tsukiko New Theme

"K-kiko.... a-are you okay?" Ichi asked looking down at Kiko not really knowing if she was fine; that was until he saw the large grin on her face; and Ichi instantly knew that the girl was fine; seeing as how she only grinned when she was happy. "A-alright" Ichi said waiting for Kiko to put the Tent away' seeing as how even thought she didn't sleep in it she hadn't put it away the other night, most likely because of how sleepy she was; and Ichi couldn't put the tent away seeing as how it went into one of Kiko's scrolls that he didn't know how to use. However once the girl had put the tent and the other things of her away Ichi smiled slightly; as the two of them started walking. "S-so.... I-If i find L-Lu; w-what are y-you going to do?" Ichi didn't know if Kiko would come with her; or continue on with her mission.

There was a moment of silence, and she thought about her answer before she answered. This was obviously a rare occasion-usually she jumped into things head first and didn't always think of the consequences. Then Kiko spoke. "I'll do what you need me to do, Ichi." It was simple, but a bit of a complex answer, especially from Kiko. She got the feeling he'd understand, and if he didn't, then she'd explain for him.Tsukiko New Theme

Ichi looked at Kiko as the two of them continued to go further away from the docks that that had landed at earlier that morning; and closer to the Village hidden in the leaves. Ichi's head remained tilted to the side slightly as Kiko said that she would do whatever it was that Kiko needed her to do. Which seeing as how he had no idea what that was; Ichi would have to wait until; and if they found Lu; or at least until he found them. "O-okay.... T-thank you" Ichi said as they continued to walk though the forest.

Kiko was curious to know why Ichi'd ask her that-her mission was important, yes, but it's not like she could travel alone-the last time that had happened she'd almost been gang-raped. "Told you I'd protect you, and I meant it." Her thumbs twiddled gently, and her face flushed slightly. "Means I'll stay with you, unless you want me to go."Tsukiko New Theme

Ichi sighed slightly; there was no arguing with Kiko, she was still on that protecting promise she made over a year ago; but in that time Kiko really hadn't done much to protect him, she had defended him against people who where mean; but no real protection. She had actually froze in front of the Anbu; who had most likely been the most dangerous situation that the two of them had been in sense the two of them started on there mission. "A-alright..." Ichi said nodding slightly. Then again he didn't really want her to leave; but it really depended on what Lu said.

She had half a mind to kick back and ask him if he'd like to set up a camp to wait in, but if she knew Ichi, there wasn't much he got this excited over. Kiko tugged at his sleeve gently, before turning a bright red. "There's...something...I should tell you.." Now wasn't probably the time to tell him this, but if they met Lu, or whoever Ichi was looking for, she might not get to tell him for a while. And Kiko didn't like to hide things from Ichi-he managed to see through a lot of what she did, and kept her grounded. So the least she could do was be honest with him.Tsukiko Theme

Ichi and Kiko continued to head towards the village hidden Leaves; they weren't really planning on going INTO the village; but they where going to get closer to the village hidden in the leaves' at least as close as Kiko wanted to get; she was the main reason they weren't going to stop there seeing as how she didn't like her family who lived there;.... and she didn't seem to get along very well with the Anbu. Ichi then look over at Kiko and tilted his head slightly; stopping in his place as Kiko pulled on his sleeve. "..... y-yes?" Ichi asked still looking at Kiko with his head still tilted to the side slightly.

Kiko's face turned a bright red as he stopped, and steam could have come from her ears. "Um...I know...that...well...this might be a stopping point for a while for us-we might have to go separate ways for a bit, and...well...I...." Kiko's hands were shaking slightly-this wasn't easy at all to do. Not after a year, maybe not after ten years. But then again, this was something new. "I....."
