The sniper turned to the ranger, fork hanging from her mouth then to the blue-haired girl and back to Tristai. Finally, she ate the last few bites of her cake, leaving the strawberry for last. "I-I don't mind" she turned to the ranger once more, wondering if there was anything wrong, Tristai only shrugged so guess that was an 'ok'? Elly looked up and extended her hand for a return shake. "I'm..E-Elly...and you?" be polite to learn names after all, assuming the two of them were completly new. Even though Elhaym had been in Learania for quite some time, the only part she knew were the area around her apartment and Tristai's.

Ahh the marketplace was certainly an area that helped Ziaram calm down since the party. he certainly felt a little embarrassed since he did not know how to dance, and he had asked that blue haired...dang it he never found out her name. All he had was her image in his mind. Wow he really felt like a fool now. "Well...least I can get over it now." Looking around, he noticed some people that were familiar...Blossom and Ganon in the Hostess club, so he went in and took a seat...well at least he had not seen Farina anywhere around. He was fairly sure he would not be able to handle himself if he was around her, as he hadn't done a good job with a first impression...he needed to find someone to teach him to dance so he could make that impression seem like a fluke. "I'll worry about that later...right now I should focus on breakfast."

Ganon brightened considerably at Blossom's sudden arrival, and his tail began to wag. "Hey, hon! Glad to see you, can you take care of this guy's order?" He tossed the pad back onto the bar and stretched. "I'm gonna warm up my fingers and get ready for my first set." He was solo barding a lot this winter, telling tales of adventures and playing songs everyone loved to hear. "Think I might tell the story of Yuki-onna later, if we've got the right crowd for it." He climbed onto his little stage and picked up his guitar, then carefully began to tune it.
"Right," said the cook outside as brightly as he could manage in the cold, "Black coffee, coming up! That's six coppers, by the way," he said as he rapped on the little window to the kitchen. "Black coffee!" he called, and a moment later the window opened up and a cup of piping-hot liquid slid out, steaming in the frozen morning air. "Careful not to burn yourself," he said softly, taking it in one gloved hand and extending the other for Tristai's money as he passed her the cup.

"Of course! Right away!" The short girl rushed right over to the counter, reaching behind her to tighten the strap of her apron around her waist to secure her chest down a little more. She then picked up Ganon's pad and removed her pen from her apron pocket, studying the order.
"Hot chocolate and cakes? What flavors? I can check to see what's already made in the back, and if you want something different, I'm sure I could make it, but you'd have to wait for a bit," Blossom said sheepishly. She tucked the pen behind her ear and looked over at the cat laguz in curiosity. "Or do you just want whatever's already available and been kept heated overnight?"← You'd better forget everything. Sunil heard the door open. Since his back wasn't to the door, he could see a Beorc woman walk in...in a mini skirt of sorts. Seems like she was an employee of some sort, for the lizard man was talking to her.
She was now in charge of his order, and was asking about what kinds of cakes he wanted.
"Um...I'll take whatever is available. But if you happen to be a good cook, I might want to try one of your cakes later." the blue cat said, looking at the Beorc woman with one blue eye, one green eye.
...Yes, he had Heterochromia.

...Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed Shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased; don't throw away your will to live...[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ] →Blossom nodded once, smiling sunnily. "A few cakes and a hot chocolate it is!" she said. She tucked Ganon's pad into her apron pocket. "I'll be right out with it, okay?" The brunette then rushed into the kitchen, the swinging door moving back and forth a few times before finally falling still.
Blossom bustled about in the kitchen, moving quickly to heat up milk over the stove as she removed a few miniature cakes from their containers. They had just been made the day before, too; they would easily still be fresh. Blossom put all three onto a plate, arranging them a little bit to make them look nicer, then hurried to the stove. A few minutes later, with the hot chocolate finished, Blossom pushed open the door with her hip and exited carefully, holding the plate in one arm and the mug in her other hand.
"Here you are!" Blossom said cheerfully, putting Sunil's things in front of him. "That'll be... uhm, eight gold, I think." Blossom looked over at Ganon. "Ganon, how much is three cakes and a hot chocolate?"← You'd better forget everything. Remember. . . your different Life?XXX You'd better forget everything. She dropped the coins into the man's outstretched hand, snatching up the steaming liquid in return. She murmured a "Thank you," and blew on the surface of her coffee before taking a sip. Tristai couldn't have cared less about the blue haired woman that was attempting to socialize, and it showed. She gave Elly a look that said as much, but she patiently drank her coffee and didn't seem to care either way.

Sunil didn't have to wait long, for the small hostess soon returned with the hot chocolate and the cakes. Oooh...they smelled so good. He could hardly wait to sink his teeth into them.
He smiled to the hostess and thanked her, before reaching into one of the inner pockets in his coat to fetch his money bag. After counting out the money in the small pouch, the cat gave the hostess the coins to pay for the meal.
"It's the start of a new year, huh...?" he said to no one in particular. He then picked up the fork and took a bite from one of the cakes.

"What's the difference between these mustards?" Rajin questioned the seller as he held up a bottle of mustard in his hand. He was in the marketplace, doing the grocery shopping for the Duke's Head. When winter came, Rajin had asked Helen if he could stay at her place for the winter while he was waiting for the auditor. The owner of Duke's Head agreed with under one condition: that he had to work part-time in her tavern. That meant working with old man Tibarn, which Rajin was quite annoyed that the Hawk King wanted his career to be a secret.
The tiger had no idea what was Tibarn's problem of trying to keep a low profile while working in the Duke's Head. However, it sometimes ruffled his fur that led to bicker arguments, followed with Helen's stinking broom. So here he was, doing errand for the Duke's Head (and to get away from the chef.)
The air was bitter cold despite that there was no wind. It was a good thing that beast tribe could grown winter coats to keep themselves warm during the cold season. However, in their other forms, it was quite cold. With a scarf warpped around his neck and a black cape to hide himself from golookers, he was halfway done with the grocery. Paying the seller five golds for a bottle of mustard (He didn't check what type it was nor care if Tibarn would be upset), Rajin picked up the grocery bags and continued down the path.
It was the same as always. Beorc were busy with their everyday lives. How boring was that. If only there was some sort of excitement around, like yesterday.
Rajin let out a chuckle and a smirk as he remembered yesterday. He had to admit he had fun at the party, even if the room was mostly full of beorc. However, that was because there was a cat laguz that he associated. He didn't get her name though, but at least they had fun dancing and having conversation (mostly about how terrible the party was organized for beorc and less for laguz). And even though he didn't get a chance to meet with the other cat laguz, it didn't change the fact that he and the other had fun.
"Hmm? I wonder what she's doing right now." Rajin thought for a moment before looking down at the list. His smile quickly changed to a frown when he saw what's the next item was. "What the hell is different between a white pepper and smoked black pepper?"
Damn that old man..... Rajin thought bitterly as he headed off to the next vendor.

"Farina, the best pegasus knight you'll ever find in town," Farina said with a wide grin. "Nice to meetcha!" The pink haired woman didn't seem to care for any interaction, so after shaking hands with Elly, Farina dropped her hand and sat down.
Farina turned her head to look at the cook in the tavern. "Oh, hey, can I order some tea and a piece of that stuff Elly here has? Thanks!"
She turned back to Elly. The girl was shy, or at least it seemed that way. "So, how you doing today?"
Farina had been surviving on odd jobs, and frankly, a few times she had to do something below her dignity and standard, but she usually refused unless it was for a much heftier amount of gold than usual. Today was just another day in the wanderings.

( Too lazy to switch) Elly poked around on her plate, rolling the strawberry around in a circle before she stabbed it, popping it in her mouth. Oo juicy, just how she liked it. It was sweet too, unlike normal sour strawberries other chefs used. She liked it. The fork hung at the edge of her lips when a question was thrown at her. She chewed and swallowed before answering "Pretty..good, Besides the cold..." the two were simply window shopping for now anyways....or at least....Elhaym was..Tristai was simply dragged into this mess. She stared at the last piece of strawberry and immediatly wolfed it down, not allowing it to sit there any longer then it was, straining juices. Somehow she wanted another one, but the money she brought with her, including her savings she took with her when she left Magvel, were very limited. She still very much wanted that teddy bear, but goddess knows how much that was. First thing was first though, thank Tristai for everything she's done for the poor girl since her arrival in Learania. Elly probably wouldn't have made it out on her own anyhow. The sniper snapped back into reality, turning her attention back to the pegasus knight. "H-how about yourself..?"

A new city, a new time. And hey, there was a possibility he could make a new start. Nobody knew him, nobody would recognize him; though most of them here were humans. Kind of a shame; he didn't really have anything against humans but he hadn't found any of them to be very impressive yet. Not compared to... well, most other laguz he'd met. With the exception of bird laguz, of course. God, he couldn't stand them. All so self-righteous and thinking they were better than the other species. Rain growled softly at the thought, deep in his throat. Hopefully there weren't very many of them around. Preferably there would be a total of none, but nah, he'd never be that lucky. Especially with all this.... diversity.
And hey, look, a butcher's booth. A few pieces of meat were up on display; when the man turned his back, Rain snatched one, strolling off in another direction while tearing a hunk off with his teeth. Raw, bloody, and absolutely delicious. Maybe he'd even come back and buy something from the man later, to show his appreciation. Probably not, but there was a possibility. A few people looked at him sideways, expressions strange. He grinned at them, showing bloodstained teeth, and they didn't look at him anymore. Why act cultured around a bunch of strangers? He'd probably only see them this once, anyway.
Eh, it was boring out here. And pretty cold, too. In wolf form, it wouldn't be so bad, but in this form, without any fur? Uh, no. Uncomfortable. And these kids were boring. Really boring. Where would be a good place? Here, no. Stores, stores, booths. The hell was this, sale day or something? He didn't have a clue, he'd never been to this city. Well, this one looked like as good a place as any. So Rain brushed a bit of snow from his shoulder, entering what looked to be some sort of cafe.
Inside, there was some short girl, a lizardman and a cat. He grinned at the cat first, giving a slight wave. "Yo, kitty. Nippy outside, eh?" He slipped past the cat, finding himself the most comfortable-looking seat and lounging back in it. "And hi to you too.... uh... reptile guy. Sorry, dunno what you are. No offense, y'know." He grinned over at Blossom, raising his hand to get her attention. "So, miss waitress girl, you have alcohol in the place? Or is that not your thing?"

Maybe it was the cold. Maybe it was the snow. Maybe it was the fact that it was a brand new year. Whatever the reason, Valter was sure of one thing: there was absolutely nothing that he felt like doing. He wasn't a huge fan of inactivity, however, so he forced himself to get out of bed and find something to keep himself occupied.
Normally he would've set out with all of his armor on, but at these temperatures, the metal might frost up. So he left the armor in a bag hanging from Kain's saddle, in case he wound up needing it. He didn't get where he was now by being careless. He did, however, take his lance with him. In the unlikely event of an attack, he didn't want to be completely helpless.
Donning the warmest clothes he owned, Valter set out towards town. The shops were all open, and just about everything was cheap. Maybe he could find something warmer than the old, hole-ridden cloak he was wearing at the moment.

The sniper waited around, listening to Farina simply babble on and be in her own little thinking world. Elly swayed back and forth in her chair, looking to Tristai every now and then. She sat straight, hands in her lap and looked around. She turned, her eyes looking in a direction that totally got her to get up, grab the ranger's wrist and pull her. "Sorry gotta go bye!" with that said, Elly dragged Tristai along, careful not to cause her to spill her coffee. She had lost track of the cart but that didn't matter, there was a store that had all sorts of accessories. Elly's mouth made a shape of an 'o' and she ran into the store, pushing the door gently as it chimed at the entrance of a customer. "Welcome!" Was what she heard by a sudden parrot sitting on a wooden perch. Elhaym let out a soft 'aw' and proceeded further into the store. Her attention wandered to the many different hair pins that were encased in glass just a little away from the clerk and against the wall.

Ganon looked up sharply at the new arrival, plucking a few notes and strumming a couple of chords to accent the wolf laguz' appearance, smooth chords with underlying, sinister minor tones. "Alcohol?" he asked after a moment. "It's ten in the morning, I don't even know if our bartender would be coherent yet." He shook his head slowly, and started into something nice and easy; his fingers were still sore after The Fox and three encores last night.
The cook at the counter looked up and smiled at Farina. "Of course! Any flavor in particular you'd like, or do you want a strawberry one? And you want sugar with the tea, or plain?" He already had a notepad out, something he could fiddle with to steal a few extra seconds of warmth when he stepped into the kitchen. Ah, glorious, glorious warmth! When his shift was over, he was going to go and take a hot bath under a blanket in front of a fire.
