lol, I'd rather not repeat events that were in the anime, but I can support your revenge notions.
However.. the only two vizards that exist are Asuma and Higure, none of the others even had a chance to exist, so you will have had to battle your inner hollow on your own.. which could actually add to your feelings of abandonment and the need for revenge come to think of it.

Lol. It wouldn't be repeating events though. Aizen stayed a captain and did things and all that. And then he just disappeared because he was found out. Asuma would just attack and then threaten everyone before he walked through a garganta.
But yesss....that is what I was getting at, though instead of the vizards the arrancar would help him/battle him and be killed. biggrin
Get it? Lol.

Hmmm.. Considering that he would have to actually create the arrancar.. Wait.. You could have it that the natural arrancar that exist attack him.. and in his fighting of them, he changes and defeats his inner hollow..

Tonight is the night we become great! The Stars will show us the way! If it were me at this point, I'd probably have some kind of rift established between royal families. Kind of to stir tension from the get go as well, going off of Chiu's ideas for some side stuff happening in the history as well. Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

idk if I want to complicate things that much.. putting in family conflicts is just a bit much.
We already have an arrancar / hollow war thing going on here, that's enough to get people moving.
We will have squad missions for the weaker members, which is another way we can get them moving, even if those won't be applied until later on.
I think what we need to focus on right now, is just figuring out the history of Soul Society, and then move forward with getting squads set up.
So.. What we have so far is this, broken down of course.
Things move smoothly for a while. Hollow comes to earth. Asuma and Higure go to earth. Asuma is hollowfied, Higure partially so. Higure creates the orb. Asuma leaves with the orb, leaving Higure blacked out. Higure returns to SS, unaware of his inner hollow. Meanwhile.. Asuma wakes up in Hueco Mundo. Is attacked by naturally occurring arrancar, whom he kills. In the process of his battle, he defeats his inner hollow, and discovers that he can create his own arrancar. Chaos insues.

I think that we should involve more Captains... I mean, the main focal point of this entire thing is Higure and Asuma...

You do indeed have a point..
Any suggestions? All we have so far is a basic explanation for how arrancar and vizard exist...

I like the idea of putting the family's into the mix. I think that there could be some really cool plots made from involving the houses, including the one I lead. Because of the immense sense of pride from the houses and their Heads, conflicts are very realistic and could be made into something big. Take this for example:
A Kuchiki family member (NPC) is found brutally beaten by the head of house (Shido) and is taken to Squad 4's infirmary. With the beaten house member is a note, stating that those who did the act of violence were going to kill the family off one by one. That being known, Shido calls in every Kuchiki member and has a lockdown at the Kuchiki estate. With guards covering all corners of the estate, Shido asks his fellow Captains for help finding the ones who are trying to kill off his family, and help protect the family in the meantime. Some of the Captains may be willing to help, but a few don't help and speak out against helping, saying that the Shinigami shouldn't be bothered with helping the safety of a single family, when family's are being killed daily in the districts.
Something like that.

I agree with some way of bringing the family's forth involving the Captains. Potentially this could lead to some rivalries within the captain ranks due to some of their beliefs on the families.

I am against anything that involves rivalry between two squad captains. The Gotei 13 need to move as a single, well organized group, even if they are all separate. I have seen what happens when you have violence between two squads, and I do not want that to show up here.
As for the family feuds.. (pardon the pun.) I am fine with it as long as you create a finish for the story line. Remember, this is not a plot, but a backstory. All events need to have found a completion to a certain extent, and I do not want a house war.

How about instead of family feuds, families have small ties to each other or, possibly, in debt to each other?
Or maybe like...I dunno. Something similar to famous organizations?
Illuminati? Freemasons? Knights Templar?
Somehow incorporate small but similar details?

All events need to have found a completion to a certain extent, and I do not want a house war. Seriously? I can understand two Captain arguing OOC being bad, but IC Captains should be able to not get along! It creates turmoil within the Sereitei and it creates a very interesting setting for people to RP in. It's natural for two people with different opinions to clash a bit, just like most people do in the workforce. Even in school, you always have that one kid in your class that you say "Is that kid serious? He sounds rediculous!" It's nothing to keep out of the guild, unless it's OOC and it's hindering people from doing their job. If you were to read the plot I suggested, it wouldn't be between families. It would be internally between the Kuchiki family and people who dislike them and feel they're spoiled brats. I guess that'd be more of a side-story thing. Though, I think that the plot I suggested would work well.

It's a bit more than just clashing that I'm against. I don't care if captains don't like each other, but I don't want to see any feuds between squads. According to the laws of the Sereitei, that would be considered insubordination and treachery, and would constitute the dismissal of the captains involved, if not the execution. Fighting amongst fellow shinigami when not strictly justified by a civil war is strictly forbidden. Again, I'm not discouraging arguments between squads, or their captains, nor am I encouraging them. What I am saying is not allowed is fighting between squads. Especially between squad captains. I was in a guild which tried to involve a war between the captains of Soul Society, and it ultimately caused unpleasantness and the failure of the guild as a whole.
As for the houses.. if you guys really want to see some inter-house turmoil, then we can do that. As long as the actual fighting does not move into the squads other than strictly non-lethal duels.
