Amapola nods. "Absolutely lovely." She smiles at the children having such fun together. "They're lucky to have friends," she says. "My only friend I ever had was my older sister, and she wasn't very much fun at all. Come to think of it, she still isn't very much fun. And she acted more like my mother than my sister."
"Oh, okay," he says like he'd known that all along. "Right. Well, what does your magic do? Show me?"

"I guess I don't really have a lot of friends either. My Mom and mate, I guess." Could you consider them as friends? She wasn't sure, that was why she wanted Miniel to have some. "I guess that's why I'm here today, to find Miniel real friends."
Miniel smiled, she had only learned this trick recently and was proud to show it off. "I can make candy or toys appear in this capsule." You could see that there was nothing in it, "Wanna see?" She didn't know which it would be, she hadn't figured out that part yet.

Amapola nods. "It looks like they're getting along fairly nicely. You should bring her and come over for dinner sometime." She smiles. It had been so long since they'd had guests.
"Yeah, I do wanna see!" he exclaims. Toys and candy? That's an awesome power! He watches her intently, waiting for her to do something spectacular.

"That would be lovely." She would have to give advance warning to Phim. He would have to put on his best "Scott" face. She knew he couldn't be himself around others and well...she couldn't blame him.
"Ok, cool" She hadn't done it today yet. The only time she had tried it had contained a small plastic teddy bear. So, she opened it and inside was about 5 m&m's. "Oh, candy this time. Want some?" She held out her hand and offered him a few.

Amapola nods, already making plans in her head for what to cook, how to decorate, how she'd need to air out the house, how to shuttle Elizabeth off for an evening so she could have some fun...
She smiles at Cinna. "You could bring anyone else you wanted," she says. "If you've got a mate or anything..." She trails off slightly and glances to the side.
Masozi gapes at the candies. "Ohmygosh!" he exclaims. "That's like the coolest thing I've ever seen!" Gone is the reclusive wet blanket he'd been upon their first meeting. This is the Masozi who is fascinated by nearly everything. "I wish I could do cool stuff like that!" He takes the proffered candy and pops them into his mouth.

Cinna smiled, "I do, Scott. I'm sure he would be happy to come as well. Then we have a son, Anahira that would be there two. The whole happy family." She giggled to herself, if only she knew how sarcastic that statement had been!
Miniel smiled, happy to make him excited. "Want to do it again?" She hadn't tried twice in a row before, but she would for him. "I bet you get to do something cool too!"

Amapola nods. "At home it's just me and Masozi, and my sister Elizabeth, and her adopted son Kieran, although he's grown up now and does pretty much whatever he pleases. You'd all be welcome over for dinner sometime, of course."
Masozi nods emphatically. "Yeah, let's do it again!" he exclaims, watching her little capsule to see if he could actually see the magic take place.

"That sounds really nice. I would invite you to our house, but the cave is a mess." Cinna also knew that Phim would not like guests at their house. That wasn't a place he liked people to see.
Miniel smiled and then opened the capsule again. This time there was one candy...it was misshapen and a weird gray color. "Uh oh? Think it's broken?"

"Houses are always a mess when there are children around," jokes Amapola, smiling. It's really nice to have a friend, to get out of the house. She's really, really enjoying herself. "But it doesn't matter, Elizabeth keeps our house spotless. I think she enjoys cleaning, though I can't imagine why...But anyway, you'd be welcome anytime."
Masozi peers at the grey blob. "What happened?" he asks, poking at it. "Is it eat-able?"

"Really, she does? I wish I did. I get too spacey to clean. I want to do too many things at once." Cinna giggled, it was nice to be herself for a change. Nice to meet someone and just talk.
"I unno." Miniel shrugged at both questions. She held it out to him, "Wanna try? Maybe it just ugly?" She hadn't tried doing to tricks in a row and had no idea how it would turn out.

Amapola giggles. "I'm way too spacey to clean," she agrees. "Luckily Lizzy's around. Ooh, but she hates it when I call her that! And I suppose it's not fair of me to keep calling her that, but Elizabeth just sounds so dreary don't you think?"
"Sure," says Masozi. She takes the grey lump and takes a tiny bite of it, hesitantly. He spits it out immediately. "It tastes like paste. Maybe your thingy is broken."

Cinna giggled, "Yeah, I think you are right. Lizzy is much better." She then turned to see the kids, "I wonder what they are up too?" Cinna hadn't see Miniel use her power yet so she just saw them with the little plastic egg thing.
"Nuh huh!" She took the capsule and closed her eyes. "Come on." She said and opened it. This time it was a toy..a army man that was all melted. "Huh?"

"Probably just being children," says Amapola, but also turning her attention to Miniel and Masozi. "What's that toy she has?" she asks.
Masozi frowns at it. "Huh." He blinks up at Miniel. "Maybe you can only do it once or somethin'." He picks up the melty green figure. "I can't even tell what it's s'poseta be."

"OH I think she picked that up not too long ago." Cinna said as she looked at the toy Amapola was referring to. "I don't know why she wants to play with that thing. It's empty." Cinna didn't know anything about Miniel's power yet.
"I dunno." That sounded like a good idea. "Maybe I shouldn't do it for a while." She shrugged and looked at the green plastic thing. "Me either, a toy?"

Amapola watches them. "Empty? Then where'd they get that plastic figurine? Masozi didn't bring it."
"Yeah, I guess. But it's all deformed and stuff."
