"Daddy does that too." Alice agreed, sipping her cocoa a bit more. "What sorts of things do you do when you aren't out with him? Do you play any games or sports?"

Niven shook his head and ate another cinnamon bun.
"Not really. We don't go out much, and when we do it's for time together. I play with Eun sometimes, when she isn't in a bad mood. Otherwise I just play in the yard." Alone.

Alice's eyes widened, "You don't get to try any games or sports?" she asked. Sure, life was a bit lonely sometimes at her home, but they did travel to the Rec center now and then to try things out, and she quite liked the sports there. "That's no fun. I'll have to come over some time and play with you." she said with a firm nod.

"Okay!" Niven nodded. The snow had begun to melt through his snow pants and was growing into a cold puddle down his legs. He began to tremble slightly.
"Daddy says when it's spring again we'll go more places." He sipped his cocoa, which had also gone colder.

Alice shivered, standing up again. "The snow's really wet. Let's go sit on the benches." she suggested, "You look shivery and I'm getting cold."

Niven nodded and followed the girl to the bench his father was sitting on. Unfortunately for the pair, Aodh noticed his trembling.
"Are you cold?"
Niven nodded.
"We should probably go home. We don't want you getting ill."
Niven frowned and gave Daddy his puppy eyes.
"I'm sorry, little one. Maybe you can get your new friend's phone number so we can call her for a visit later?"
Niven seemed to brighten at the notion and turned back to Alice, grinning expectantly.

Alice smiled and nodded. "Sure! You should go with your Daddy if you're cold." she explained, "Do you have a paper and a pen, Mister?" The child asked, smiling up at Aodh once again.

Aodh gave a soft half-smile and a wink.
"Always, lass."
He produced a pad and pen from his pocket and offered them to the little girl.

Alice scribbled her full name, address and phone number on the pad - something her Papa'd been teaching her to do for a while since she got lost and had only her phone number to find her way.
"Here you go." she said with a grin. "nice to meet you, Niven and Niven's daddy!"

Niven took the paper off the pad and tucked it into his pocket before taking Aodh's hand as beginning to walk away.
"It was very nice to meet you as well, Alice," Aodh said. Niven lifted his hand to wave and smiled. He would call her some time soon, and he wouldn't have to play Explorer all alone.

Alice bounced on her heels a bit as she waved before running back towards the snow to play a while longer. She'd take a bit of time out before going to find where Bella'd wandered off to.
