He looked to her as she moved next to him and frowned once more. Reflecting quickly what he said, he nodded at her comment and watched the stone fly.
"There are many things here you can do that you cannot do as a rogue..." He echoed her soft voice as he glanced to her, "I never knew what games were, or what having a friend was until I came here...I was always alone before as a rogue..." He looked away, not trying to talk her out of becoming a rogue, just more like showing what it was like in his eyes.
"...You have never met Kami?" He asked again, before adding on, "...The King, Mufasa's, daughter....with the golden pelt..."

She gazed at the ground ahead of her, watching the sway of the grass and the flutter of flies as they zipped about in the air. She listened to him however, ears turned in his direction as she padded slowly. He sounded so sad.
"Never knew games..." She whispered, "don't rogues have families?" Was it a rule that if a rogue lioness decided to have cubs she'd leave them to fend for themselves at birth? She didn't think she could ever do such a thing to her own cubs.
At his final question she shook her head, "nope, never met golden pelt female before. I met her stupid golden brother who can't speak and the red twins though." She nodded. "What's Kami like?" Could it be possible the King and Queen actually birthed a normal child?

"Of course we do..." He told her softly, watching her as she looked away, and sighing soon afterwards, "Though the lands are not so nice to most of us...at such young ages, the parents passing on leaves cubs to fend for themselves...not many get very far without finding a pride or another lion to live with..." He tried to point out a happy side of a pride, and suddenly realized he was making everything seem so depressing. That is, until she asked of Kami, because just than his whole appearance brightened.
"Kami...Kami is the whole reason I am here, she is my friend and my family, and is the one who taught me all there was to being a cub. I met her when I was young, and she is always respectful, listening, and trying to cheer me up...and we are always playing, that is when she isn't doing her studies to become queen..." He just grinned like a fool, excited to be talking of his one and only friend, "...she is shy though, but I am sure you would like her a lot if you met her!"

Passing on? Kiburi tilted her head in confusion not quite understanding what this other was saying. She knew nothing really of death and how cruel it could be at times. Being so young and protected from the harsh blows of the world meant that she didn't understand many things.
"Sounds...like a hard life." She finally admitted, raising her eyes to the spine of the priderock and realising for the first time what it meant to many lions.
Safety.
There was safety in numbers.
"Kami sounds nice." Kiburi agreed with a flick of her tufted tail, "her siblings are a bit strange but I suppose that there had to be one normal cub in the bunch." She chuckled. "Hopefully I'll meet her someday." Kiburi was genuine about this. Usually the royal cubs posed no interest for her, perhaps because she was jealous of their noble birthing. This Kami sounded different though and it would be interesting to meet her.

Ta'Ziyan turned and watched her before a slow idea perked, and he turned back towards the rock.
"Kami should be up there with her father..." He told her softly, "If we head there, we can probably make it by the end of her classes, and you could meet her. She is in need of a few more friends..." He smiled softly to her, but instead was thinking of how nice it could be for Kami to meet another, make a friend that is female this time instead of just hanging around the male.

Kiburi's eyes brightened and she nodded enthusiastically. "Yes that would be good!" She herself was beginning to want more friends having only her brother to play with. Rocky wasn't really a friend as he was mean to her and she didn't think that parents counted.
"I'd love to meet Kami." She agreed with a warm smile.

Grinning brightly towards her, he nodded and turned to look at pride rock, his breathing coming out in smooth waves though his heart beating wildly at the thought. Excitement soared through his veins to cause him to push his pace, glancing back towards Kiburi.
"Alright, follow me - though you might have to stay close because there are still a lot of shadows out - but now dont worry, there isn't a way to get hurt here since Kami told me all of the best places to hide from...Them..." He trailed off a second before shaking his head and glancing away from her eyes, "Kami should be done by now...but you can always meet her later if you want...though feel free to come with me, I always try to see her after her lessons so we can play games and talk." He forced a smile and tried to ignore the shadows as he turned to glance back towards Kiburi - to make sure she was following still and he wasnt talking to thin air.

Kiburi was still following and found herself quite eager to meet this lionness, she sounded to be quite nice and she had yet to meet others in the prideland like that.
Despite their bad start this other lion was also nice and she had quickly decided that she liked him. He seemed very happy about meeting Kami.
"I'll come now. Not got anything better to do." She spoke cheerfully, "just lead the way and I'll follow."

"Alright...lets head to the rock..." Smiling, he padded quickly, excitement filling his veins as he forgot about the other who seemed to as well forgotten about them, or just decided to hide. Soon enough, after rushing through the grasses, they would arive at the base of one of the greatest monuments he would ever see, the Pride Rock. Than, he would introduce Kami to Kiburi and they would become friends. Or so he hoped, only time would fully tell.
