Tipsy Senshi

Talking apparently wasn't the distraction she needed, because Obsidian was the rare male that could do two things at once - try to beat the s**t out of her AND talk. That other senshi had been NO help, because whatever attack she did seemed to have no effect. It was Nemesis against Obsidian, and Nemesis had the creeping suspicion that he was just a smidgen better at fighting than her. "You're not even going to ask me how I've been!?" Already she was instinctively taking a step back, to try and move out of Obsidian's reach.

Unfortunately, it was no good, and Obsidian's fist came crashing against the side of her face. Her head whipped to the side, and she expected to feel an explosion of pain any moment now...

...

Okay, that had not hurt one ******** bit. Had someone slipped her steroids? Her eyes widened with surprise, and if she looked just over Obsidian's shoulder, she could see the other senshi crashing to the ground. What had just happened? Nemesis felt nothing, and that other senshi seemed to have almost been...

Oh, you had to be ******** kidding her.

Nemesis was ready to praise every living thing on the Earth, because it hit her then. Virgo wasn't so useless afterall! A wicked, fearless grin spread across her face, because what was there to fear when she felt no pain? Virgo was absorbing the attacks for her, like a punching bag. So long as Nemesis didn't really get 'hurt', Virgo would be just fine, right?

Right.

Nemesis was going to have fun with this. "Was that supposed to hurt?" She balled her hand into a fist, and aimed a strike for Obsidian's face. She just had to keep him preoccupied until her attack settled in, and then after that she could scoop Virgo up and run.

Virgo watched the red-haired Negaverser finally, finally turn his attention away from her; she sighed with relief for a moment, and then realized...

Well, gosh. This was gonna suck.

She didn't take the hit well; she hadn't been expecting it, which was ******** retarded as she'd just used her immaculate reflection on Nemesis, which meant any damage Nemesis took would go right to Virgo. And, from her spot on the ground, it looked like the other senshi was... not exactly going to be delicate about it.

Fine, be that way. She would stay right here until her attack did something. Hmph.

Virgo was sulking, confident that Obby was distracted.

Oh.

Oh oh.

He'd hit her dead on, triumphant and vicious--and the girl looked shocked and unphased all at once. She looked over his shoulder, and he did too, after a moment, and there was Virgo on the ground like he'd... just punched her in the face.

Oh, you had to be ******** kidding him.

"You keep talking, you'd be on the floor bawling with your nose even bigger than usual if you didn't have meatstack over there." He snarled, forced his jaw to relax even as she smashed him hard in the jaw. He spat blood for a moment, decided he was at least going to pummel the crap out of one senshi, and began to beat the ever living hell out of the seemingly invulnerable Nemesis.

She stood there, let him wail on her with a s**t-eating grin that had his blood boiling. It wasn't doing s**t to her, and the worst part was that she didn't even really retaliate. A hit to his gut, a knock to his temple that made his ears ring, but had this been a one-on-one battle, she should have been bruised, bloody, and down for the count by now.

All that was happening, however, was that his punches were beginning to slow, and soon he was struggling just to lift his arms.

Not good.

Paralyzed completely, it was all he could do to bare his teeth at the Senshi of Decay yet again, every muscle straining and yet refusing to do so much as twitch.

It was a waiting game, then. She felt the force behind each blow he dealt her, but no actual pain. She didn't think about what Sailor Virgo had to be experiencing - right now that didn't matter to her. So long as the girl lived, she'd recover, and that was STILL a whole lot better than if Nemesis had not arrived at all. So, she stood there, let him deliver blow after blow, and only retaliating with a few mocking hits. Her face all but shone with triumph, all but said 'Try as you might, you'll never win.'

His punches were beginning to slow, and Nemesis could see the weight of her attack starting to drag him down. He was losing control of his limbs, they were beginning to tighten into that all-too-familiar paralysis. "Aww, maybe next time, then?" she taunted sweetly as he stood powerless to do anything against her. Confidence filled her head, because in this moment she was invincible. Nemesis could kill him and he could do nothing to stop her. But, she wasn't nearly ready for that step, and she had Virgo to take care of. The fight... had definitely not been kind to her. All the blows that Nemesis should have felt, Virgo took for her.

She'd have to thank the girl.

This was the first senshi she really liked.

With her wicked little grin, she reached out to pat Obsidian's cheek, much like one would pet their dog. "Don't worry, you know it'll wear off!" Of course, she and Virgo would be long gone by then.

She brushed past the immobilized Obsidian and made her way to the felled Senshi. "Ick, you don't look so good. Let's get you out of here." Really... maybe Nemesis had let Obsidian hit her a little too much for no reason. Eh, she'd banish that thought for right now. Bending down, she helped Virgo to her feet, supporting the girl, because it was VERY unlikely that the girl could support herself. It'd be slow going, but at least it was unlikely Obsidian would be able to catch up to them. They'd be long gone by the time he retained movement.

It had been a little funny, the first time she'd fallen over. When she had just stayed put on the ground, it looked more serious; more like a seizure; and then, near the end, she'd gone completely still.

Virgo managed not to cry out throughout all of it, which could be seen as pretty good--she had been pretty vocal before, when it was just Obby--or pretty bad. What if she had been knocked unconscious? But it seemed like she was quite awake when, finally, Obsidian stopped moving, and then the green glow of Virgo's protection faded from Nemesis. She stayed put, hands over her face. Could she get out of gym for a few weeks, maybe? Virgo was pretty sure she looked like a redheaded stepchild. Like she'd been beaten like a redheaded stepchild.

Something like that. Idioms were a tiny bit beyond her.

"Why isn't he moving," she mumbled, narrowing her eyes at Obsidian. It didn't feel like her cheek would puff up too badly. Just badly enough. (At least he'd concentrated on one side of her face.) Then Nemesis was helping her up, and Virgo was (to her shame) whimpering as they walked, slowly, away. God, she felt like s**t...
