She followed him without too much talk, mainly just looking around or pushing her hair out of her face. Yes, Lana knew she was making him uncomfortable, but she wasn't the type of feline to care. Lana wasn't modest at all, and adored her own body, loving to show it off every chance she got.
"I've got a few bucks. Gotta eat cheap," she said absently, watching as other cats gave her a funny look. Whatever, she was beyond used to it.

He smiled at her casual comment, eyes twinkling with delight. “Don’t worry, you won’t need to pay. Sheryl’s really nice,” Allegro explained, though his elaboration did little to clear up why money was not an issue at the moment.
They strolled through the sparse streets, night quickly falling on the town. Unmindful of the time, the young boy continued to lead Lana towards his beloved pastry shop, sure that it would still be open. And to his credit, it was.
The windows glowed with a warm light as twinkling bells and savory aromas welcomed them into the shop. Wiggling out of her hold, Allegro grinned and turned around to face her, arms outstretched. “Welcome!” he meowed, mixing in with the voice of a delighted human blond.

Well, a free meal? Who'd have thought she'd score with a guy who got connections to free food? That was just beyond her imagination. Her bushy tail flicked behind her happily and she grinned like a mad man. Lana was overstepping her steps, because her depth perception was off big time. "Oooh, boy. Cut that dose in half."
That was said more to herself than him. Sweet aroma filled her nose as they stepped inside and she let out a huge sigh. Food would help her sober up, it normally always did. Lana blinked when he wiggled away and then gave a happy noise when he welcomed her with the human.
Stepping even more tentatively in, Lana looked around and sniffed at everything she could. It all smelled so good! "What... can I have? I can't chose..."

Allegro’s ear twitched curiously. “Dose?” he repeated, but decided not to pry for fear of being rude or stumble upon a touchy subject.
He grinned at her expression, pleased to see her looking so entranced by the sweet scents that wafted into her nostrils. “It smells good, right? The best thing is that it tastes even better!” he remarked as Sheryl lovingly scratched behind his ears. Looking blissful, Allegro raised his head to meet the human’s eyes, goofily grinning.
“Brought another friend, have you?” Sheryl teased with a matching grin. “No matter. You’re an adorable cat anyways.” She stood up and skipped over to the counter, pulling out a couple sweets. “Some cinnamon rolls, on the house! As always.”
Allegro dreamily sighed. “I absolutely love the cinnamon rolls the best! They’re heavenly.”

Lana just grinned when he asked about a her dose and moved over toward him after the human moved away. Lana was skittish around them, so she wouldn't let them touch her. With a flick of her busy tail, she smelled the air once again and her stomach rumbled.
Then the cinnamon roll was produced and she grinned happily before carefully taking it, eying the human with her unmatching eyes. Humans weren't normally this friendly. No matter, it was food! Hot, free food that she didn't have to steal for. It was a huge deal for the street cat.
Licking the icing off first, Lana gave a happy mewl quickly followed by a moan as she bit into the pastry. "God, so good...."

Allegro did not notice her shying away from Sheryl, too immersed in the human’s gentle, warm brushing and petting. He stood in the middle of the shop, intently staring at Sheryl as she scurried behind the counter. His bobbed tail excitedly twitched, his mouth already salivating at the thought of the sweet confectionary.
She strolled towards the two cats, a pair of rolls in her hands and his eyes lit up. Yes, yes! Finally! Allegro grinned, revealing his canine teeth as he bounced over to her. He lovingly pawed at her feet, making her giggle as she bent down and placed the baked goods on the floor. “Here you go!”
A delighted meow and Allegro pounced on his cinnamon roll, eagerly biting into the sweet bread and savoring the sugary taste. “I know, right?” he purred, nibbling on the icing. “S’why I come here so often!”

It didn't take long for the female to eat her roll, and lick the crumbs off the floor, too. No, she wasn't above doing that if it was good. Now she was full and coming down off her higher, which was leaving her fairly sleepy. Stretching, she turned to Allegro and gave a slow grin. "Well, 'Legro. ....'s time I get going. Time to sleep and find somewhere to do that. Thanks for tonight. It was... fun and interesting."
With that, the female gave another grin and slipped out the way they came, out into the night and round a corner, out of sight.

Unlike Lana, Allegro took his sweet time savoring the treat. Although he often came in to mooch off of Sheryl and could have a cinnamon roll whenever he wanted, the kitten always wanted to make it last. To him, it was just that tasty! Undeniably, the Manx had a notorious sweet tooth that would never rest.
“Eh? Okay, I hope to see you again!” he answered, mouth full of pastry and lips lined with frosting. As he nibbled he continued to stare at the door and the last spot he had seen the glowing cat. After a while, he gobbled down the last of his treat and trotted out himself.
