((Got sick of making individual posts XD I thought I would just do what Hiru does... if that's alright?))

((12 + 15 = 27. Success. Walk on water DC 25 2/5))

Akati stepped on the water after concentrating his chakra into his feet so hard that the water was now rippling as he stood on the water. He was barely sinking now, only a little, but nothing to worry about. He kept walking around in circles, getting the hang of it. He turned every so often in a different direction to stop dizziness.

((13 + 15 = 28. Success. Walk on water DC 25 3/5))

He stood still, noticing he was not sinking, so he carefully walked forward. Every so often he would slightly sink, but he was now getting the hang of it now. But he yet had the guts to go faster. He kept the same pace, still going around in circles and making sure he didn't sink to far.

((15 + 15 = 30. Success. Walk on water DC 25 4/5))

He walked slowly now, but carefully. He was still sinking now and then, but he had basic control now. But he decided to jump, and landed successfully, only sinking to his ankles. He then walked around, making his feet come out of the water now, he was doing very well now, after all those failures.

((15 + 15 = 30. Success. Walk on water DC 25 5/5. COMPLETE.))

He kept walking, faster now and noticed now that he didn't stumble, or loose balance or anything, he could now naturally walk on water. He ran towards Hitomi.
"I'm doing it Hitomi-chan!" He kept on running towards Kai, and jumped around him. He did a little dance on the water, showing off now. But then he though he should stop, because he looked like a total idiot. He rank over to water, enjoying this new ability, knowing this would help him in combat in the future.

((19 + 15 = 34. Success. Slippery Cave Wall Walking. DC: 18. 1/5))

Akati decided to use his new found skill and run up the wall, with success! he ran only about 5 steps up though, before he started to slip down again. But he didn't fall on his a** and hurt himself at all. He had grown quite confident, but he needed a quit rest. He then looked up the wall, he was ready to go again.

Hitomi smiled when Akati agreed to come and join her. It was bound to be funner with someone else doing it as well, not only that but they could help each other out and learn from one anothers mistakes. Of course that was assuming Akati was the type to let people help him. He really was an energetic one, it made her wonder how she was going to keep up with him. Not that she didn't have energy but man it wasn't by much that he wasn't bouncing off the walls. Nodding towards him she got out of the pool and went to try once more. If she had counted right it would be her forth try, yeah she had the habit of counting such things. She did it for various reasons, the main one being to figure out what sort of things she was quicker at learning and if her skills were improving.

Inhaling slowly she closed her eyes and she put her hands together in front of her in pure concentration. Inch by inch she felt chakra gather in her feet. From her past attempts she had managed to sort of figure out how much she would need in order to perform the task. Totally focused she wasn't paying much attention to Akati's first failures. Lifting up her right foot she took a step setting it on the water and shortly afterwords put her other foot as well. Waiting for her feet to sink it never came, instead she was standing on water. Smiling she looked at Akati just in time to see he too had succeeded. Saying nothing she just grinned at him as her chakra finally gave away causing her feet to sink slowly until hitting the pool's bottom a foot later.

Even though she had managed to do it once she needed to do it over and over again until it was perfect and she could do it without thought. It was exactly what Akati had said when he succeeded. It was a matter of practice now. Curious to see how well she could manage while paying attention to other things other then her feet and chakra she watched Akati as she focused her chakra at the same time. He seemed thrilled with the fact he had managed to succeed. he had even somewhat bragged about it. Timing herself she decided to step on the water at exactly the same time as he did. When he took a step so did she but her failed going into the water which caused ripples to form on the surface. Not having thought about ripples Hitomi was caught slightly off guard and her chakra concentration broke as she slipped into the water shortly after Akati. "Don't worry it's fine. You were excited." She replied to his apology about him bragging moments before because of his success.

Just because she had failed after having done it right once didn't mean she was going to give up. After all it Akati wasn't giving up so why should she. They were ninja they needed to be strong and in order to achieve that they needed to practice practice practice! Failure was a part of that. It was why practicing was so important so that when it was needed in a life and death situation you'd be so good that you wouldn't fail. Of course there was always the slight chance that even then one would fail, after all no one was perfect. Getting out of the water she had long sense gotten used to the waters temperature and the fact her clothes were soaked. Oh well they would dry. Taking in a deep breath she focused her mind and attemped walking on the water once more. She succeeded going a few steps before she released her chakra slowly sinking into the pool and then getting out. Mmm its getting easier!

Now that she was starting to get the hang of it she decided to continue on. Sure she had done it twice but twice was only 2 times which wasn't a whole lot. She needed to do it even more until she could do it completely naturally. It still took her quite a while to get her concentration just right. In a fight or more stressful situations such a luxury of time she would not have. Getting out of the pool she quickly turned around and simply started to walk on it as if she were walking on normal ground. At the same time chakra instantly formed underneath her feet supporting her body. Her lips after such a thing formed into a smile of success. She was getting better and better with each try and so was Akati.

Changing what she was doing a little she didn't get out of the pool again instead she decided to see how long she could manage to stay on the water. Walking around she was doing pretty good until she found herself being crashed into. It was none other then Akati who had failed on an attempt and well fell on her. A bit taken off guard she wasn't able to modify her chakra flow in her feet quick enough to prevent herself and Akati from falling it. With a large splash both their bodies entered the water. Akati apparently embarrassed quickly jumped out. Giving what happened no importance Hitomi simply got back up getting out of the pool.

thinking she could still improve a little bit Hitomi got on the water again quickly doing it as well. Each time she gave it another try her chakra formed faster and faster, eventually until she was able to do it basically naturally without much thought. Smiling she began to walk around the pool. One looking at her would probably think she was walking on land or something with the ease she was doing it. Walking on water was actually quite fun and would come in handy when traveling. Instead of one having to walk around a big lake or river they could just walk across the water saving lots of time.

17+11=28

Hitomi continued walking on the pool of water, well not really. Wanting to test out how much she could do on it she began to run on it, jump and many other things in order to test out how good she really was. There were a few times her foot would start to slip through but she was quick at getting herself back together. It was coming so easy to her now. Oh how amazing it was to be on it as if it were like regular land it wasn't a normal thing, well for shinobi's it was but those who weren't would be in awe of such a thing. Remembering that she wouldn't be able to use her ninja skills on their mission she sighed, coming down to a walk on the water until she reached the other edge walking out of the pool and back onto stone. Would she be able to manage not using her ninja skills, of course she was, she just enjoyed being able to do ninja techniques. It was fun but it was not the time to think of such things. Catching up to Kai she trailed behind him as they continued on their way towards their mission location. A mission which would be her first, well not really but it was the first time she was doing a mission like this one.

((11 + 15 = 26. Success. Slippery Cave Wall Walking. DC: 18. 2/5))

Akati concentrated the chakra in his feet to grip. He then ran up the wall up ten stepped before he became tired and let himself slip down slowly. He realized he shouldn't just run up, because it tires himself out. So he would just walk up from now on, so that he didn't use up any vital energy for the traveling.

((7 + 15 = 22. Success. Slippery Cave Wall Walking. DC: 18. 3/5))

He slowly walked up, keeping his balance while going up a vertical wall, he slipped downwards now and then, but kept on going, he walked to get to the roof and see if he could hold himself upside down. But before he going even three quarters of the way, he started slipping down again, he was loosing his concentration.
Once he was down, he rested for a bit, and did some stressing. he also had a drink of water and small snack before warming himself up for another round.

((8 + 15 = 23. Success. Slippery Cave Wall Walking. DC: 18. 4/5))

After the rest, drink of water and food, Akati was ready to walk up to the top now. He went a little quicker, almost speed walking up the wall, but he kept on slipping, and almost fell down. He stopped for a bit, but in doing so he didn't have quite enough control to do it without slipping down, not as much as before, but it was still noticeable. He now kept on going, he wanted to reach the top. He felt the strain on his mind of concentrating his chakra and using his physical strength at the same time to just climb to the top. But once he got there, he made his way back down for another rest.

((18 + 15 = 33. Success. Slippery Cave Wall Walking. DC: 18. 5/5 COMPLETED))

After all this training, and then resting, he felt he was reading to run up the top without much hassle. So he did, he ran to the top without to much struggle, and now he didn't even slip at all, he was doing it with ease. He got to the top, and he even could now walk on the roof, he looked down at Hitomi and Kai, waving.
"Hey Hitomi-chan! Hey Kai-sensei!"
He now carefully walked on the roof for a while, before he eventually decided to get down and join Hitomi and Kai.

Kai kept an eye on his students even as they fell back. Mawagi was with him, as always, loping next to him and helping him keep track by occasionally looking back as well.

"Ah.." he said as the genin caught up with him. "I saw what you did there... you guys are pretty talented!" he said, a pleased smile on his face. "It takes quite a bit of skill to navigate these treacherous caverns by foot alone, but while you're concentrating on something else?" he complimented the two.

The end of the cave was beginning to draw near and it was getting brighter. After they exited into the daylight it would just be a matter of a few miles before they reached Kumogami.

Hiroko and Horohoro arrived at the foot of the river and waited, still conjoined. When their student arrived Hiroko said, "You swim, I swim, we both arrived together. Horo-chan will train as well." A second body fell from Hiroko's. We will meet again at the rivers mouth."

Hiroko took off his pants and vest to reveal a pair of shorts, after all this training was inevitable, then he dove into the water and started upstream. He had underestimated the current and temperature of the water, and thus he was slightly startled at first, but he managed to pull through and begin his trail upwards.

Meanwhile Horohoro had not been prepared and stripped down to a pair of black briefs, smiling embarrassedly to the people around him before looking to their new disciple and smiling. "Meet you at the top?" He slowly placed one foot into the water and shivered at the realization of the cold. This would take some getting used to. Horohoro continued to slowly ease himself into the water, all the while smiling nervously to his audience.

Nodding to his sensai he wasn’t in the least bit shocked to see the body fall off of his sensai. It would take some getting used to but he had seen some pretty weird things so the twin was nothing. When the other male offered to see him at the top Ichirou couldn’t help but nod and accept the offer since it was the polite thing to do. Taking off his shirt and vest Ichirou decided to keep his pants on however since he was not prepared for having to swim also he didn’t want more attention attracted to him. Jumping into the freezing cold water Ichirou began his way upstream working against the current.

((Well I'm rolling for two people, so you just rolled for two post, but no harm done.

So essentially this is how it works, you start your post with the die rolls, just post them up with a TBE (To be edited) and see what your results are. Here you are making two checks, an athletics check, and a survival check. These are affected by your stat modifiers. Your character has a +0 to athletics and a +2 to survival, so you would add 2 to your second and fourth rolls because those are the rolls for your survival checks.

These rolls are then compared to the DC, or Difficulty Check, rating to see whether your roll is a pass or a fail. Thereby Roll+Modifier=total if total is greater than DC you pass the check and roleplay as such.

Below your post you annotate what you are rolling for, most people do it like this:

postpostpostpost
blahblahblahblah
texttexttexttext
((oocoocoocoocooc))
--------------------------------(To separate the post from the training section.)
Title (What you are doing to train)
DC: __ (The DC of the check)
Modifier: __ (What you have as a bonus to the associated skill)
Pass checks / necessary checks (A running number of how many you have passed out of the number needed to complete training. 0/10 ))
Roll: ((The formula for what you rolled, e.g. 14+2=16 16>10 16=Pass This can be summerized to 14+2=Pass if you want.))
Notes: (Any additional info?)

Look at the very bottom of my post and I think you'll get it.))

((( What changed between the two?

I'm not posting again until I am sure that you understand this system.

Important things to know:
You only need two rolls per post.
Your roleplay should reflect your rolls.
I am playing two characters, so I do double the rolls.

Now notice how my rolls played out,

Training
Swim to the mouth of the river.
DC=12 Athletics and 8 survival per post.

If you fail 3 or more survival checks you get a -1 to your swim roll for every 3 failures due to hypothermia setting in.
Requirements
10 successful Athletics checks and you get some exp and a bonus to athletics. Maybe even a survival bonus if the mods feel nice.

My Rolls

---------------
Swim Race:
Athletics DC = 12
Survival DC = 8
1/10 successful Athletics checks for Hiro
0/10 successful Athletics checks for Horohoro
0 failed survival checks for Hiro
0 failed survival checks for Horohoro

Rolls: (Hiro Swim 14+10 Pass, Horo swim 1+4 FAIL, Hiro surv 8+8 Pass, Horo Surv 8+7 Pass)

My roleplaying reflects my results. Both entered the water, but Hiroko swam ahead and started the race while Horohoro is just wading in the water, this is because he failed his athletics check and thus cannot advance in the race, so I created something for him to get distracted by, in this case cold water.

Now the main issue that is holding us up is this:

You rolled twice for one character because you were mimicking me. Unfortunately you did not follow through and roleplay two post.

2 rolls = 1 post, thus 4 should be 2 post.

You rolled:
12, 18 == Post 1 Pass
3, 15 == Post 2 Failed Athletics, passed survival.

You did not roleplay a second post where you failed your second swim check for some reason.))

Jumping into the freezing cold water Ichirou began his way upstream working against the current.

Roll 2:

Ichirou kept swimming against the current even though it was strong. But due to the fact he was swimming far behind his Instructor’s he decided to try and speed it up. This however was not the best thing to do. He quickly ran out of breath and had to slow down even more. That only led to another mistake he wasn’t paying attention to the current that he had to work against. Little to his knowledge a powerful wake was coming from his sensei’s kicking their feet and moving their arms. Dragging him under and pushing him back the wake only ended up making him be further behind, and made him a even more tired. This was going to be hard training due to the cold water and the strong current but he would get through it.

((Yup, only you count PASSED Athletics checks and FAILED Survival checks.

Because if you fail 3 survival checks your Athletics DC become 13 instead of 12, then it becomes 14 if you fail three more so on and so on.

Passed Survival checks just keep you stable.
Failed Athletics checks don't do anything, but you need to roleplay them out.
You roleplay failed survival checks too, three fails = slight hypothermia, 9 would be full blown, 15 would be death. I'll save you before you get to 15 if things start looking grim.))
