Marissa's brow was furrowing herself, but she slowly put a hand out to Enid. "Nono," she half-whispered, "Let's..leave it to them." She watched in slight worry; she knew from experience how catalystic moulting was to Cole's hysterics, and feared a small meltdown to come. But, perhaps in the presence of another the tears would be dampered? Still, she had to admit it wasn't much help that the other was in just as much as distress as he was.

Marissa smiled, albeit a bit shakily. "Yes, it's okay...it'll work out.." The words were more to convince herself than anything.
Cole looked at Luel with both eyes, now, turning his head-ever so slowly to face him. He was still sobbing, his cheeks still soaked, but he was calmed slightly by the lact that Lu wasn't bawling quite so hard. Plus, his attention was caught by the shpere that had just rolled across the floor and hit his foot. He fliched and cried out loudly, preparing himself for more tremors, but none came. Cautious and cofused, his tiny gloved hand reached forward almost on it's own, for the glow of the bauble was to entrancing. His fingers shook as they touched it's surface, and two fat tears melted from his eyes and landed with a soft patter on the glass.

Utterly frightened Cole shot back up, miraculously avoiding but one falling feather, which thankfully came unnoticed by the startled babe. In that moment, with the combined incidents of the feathers, the tears, and La Lune, Cole became completely submissent and shrunk back. Instantly Luel was dominant, and Cole watched him silently, nervous.

Cole shakily and clumsily wiped his tears from his cheeks, stifling a whimper. His eyes went from anguished to hopeful, and his posture straightened as he observed this somewhat-of-a-peace-offering. He reached forward, about to accept the "gift," then stopped short, suddenly realizing he had nothing to give in return. He searched the room frantically, eyes immediately falling like weights to the floor, to his feathers. he scooped up a few in his hands and placed them on Luel's lap, giggling, barely audible. Then he took La Lune, holding it to his breast and examining it, smiling. He kissed it, drooling happily.

Luel glanced down to the feathers, his eyes transfixed at the pale cream feather with beautiful crimson tips ending these whimsical things. Luel fingered one of them, the feathers almost quivering. He twitched, not sure how to react to this kind gesture or indeed how to act to these strange objects. In the end the only thing he did was unleash a coy smile, drool dribbling gleefully down his snow-white chin.
