Kiisho applauded lightly at Kusari's achievement, thoroughly pleased with his improvement. "Very good, Kusari-san." He stepped up next to where he had fired his kido from, and held out his hand, placing his left on the inner elbow of his right. "When you fire a shakkaho, and until you can completely master the firing technique, use this posture. It gathers your reiatsu much faster, and can fire off a much larger ball of fire." He grinned and gave him a friendly pat on the back. "Now, on to the tougher stuff." He thrust backwards with his legs, pushing himself to a position several yards away from Kusari. "Bakudo thirty nine is much harder to control than Shakkaho, and requires a great deal of focus in order to block oncoming attacks. But for the direct implication, focus your reiatsu into your hand, and slowly allow it leave when you speak the name, mold it into a disc, and will it to repel. Try it once before we get started."
((Two posts in order to form the spell, then we will do some quick implication so you have a reference for your proficiency. ^_^))

Kusari began to focus his riatsu in front of his hand, creating somewhat of a tingling sensation at the tip of his fingers. 'Is this it? No, it can't be.' He focused harder as he felt the riatsu particles beginning to form, slowly at first they grew out quickly. To quickly it seemed, because the kido shattered in front of Kusari before he even spoke its name. "I'm sorry Fuku-tai ... Lieutenant Hayashi, please allow me to try it a few times before you judge my abilities."
He tried again, focusing as the riatsu built up to together and formed a shield ridiculously smaller than the ones he had seen in his lifetime, or rather after-lifetime. The shield shattered again, dissipating like dust in the wind.

Kusari thought a moment. He remembered that enkosen swirled on its way out to absorb an attack. As he focused again he tried to spin the riatsu. It spun slowly at first, but began to speed up rapidly until it was covering his entire front side, and as he said the encantation it gained a yellow coloration, and finally as he said, "Bakudo thirty nine! Enkosen!" The kido fired forward a few inches, continuing to spin.
Kusari was pleased to know it was a failure of logic rather than skill, but still was not exactly proud of his accomplishment this time. He turned to Kiisho and said, "Was that satisfactory fukutaicho?"

((lol, chillax Sagey. I just woke up and was going over everything I need to post in today. ^_^))
Kiisho smiled and nodded towards Kusari, appreciation on his features. He knew all to well that Enkosen was not always the easiest to perform. "Very good, Kusari-san. Now, try it once more, but focus on speed as well. When you are comfortable with the speed in which you can bring it up, I will go a few yards away, and fire a kido at you at half-strength, I want you to block it.
((One post, just bring it up several times, focusing on speed.))

(( biggrin Tis anxious, I got fourth seat!))
Kusari nodded and raised his hands once more. "Bakudo number thirty nine, ENKOSEN!" The swirling vortex appeared quickly, but was rather broken up and took a while to fill in. Kusari disbanded the shield and tried again, focusing of the center of his hand this time. "Bakudo number thirty nine, enkosen!." Now the shield appear slightly slower, but filled in faster.
On his third try Kusari focused the energy in front of his hand, already imagining it swirling around. Calming his thoughts he said, "Bakudo number thirty-nine Enkosen!" Th shield launched forward and swirled around it a giant vortex of a shield that covered his entire body. He could see the blades of grass beneath him being trimmed down even shorter.
He looked to the fukutaicho beside him and said, "I'm ready."

((Congrats! ^_^))
Kiisho smiled as he watched Kusari perform the kido, his mind wandering back to his days in the academy, when he had struggled with even the most basic of kido. Today it was obviously much different, but still, all had a starting place. "Very good, Kusari-san. We will now move into more.. practical, applications." He walked to a position several yards away from Kusari, hands placed behind his back in a relaxed fashion, with his right hand grasping the wrist of his left. As he arrived at his desired distance, he turned on his heel and called out to Kusari. "Are you ready, Kusari-san?" Upon Kusari's response, he raised his right hand, pointed a single finger at the lone shinigami. "Shakkaho!" A ball of red fire, roughly the size of a baseball, rocketed out of his hand, screaming towards the young man with great speed.

((This is a PrP Tehuti, please do not post here.))
At the fukutaicho's question Kusari nodded his head and at that moment sweat began to pour out of every orifice of his body. He panicked as the kido was fired, despite knowing that it would be coming Some strong desire in him wanted to just roll off to the right, but that was not the point of the exercise, so instead he raised up his hand and prepared himself.
Time seemed to have slowed down as the kido grew closer and Kusari spouted out the incantation as fast as possible. He imagined the energy forming in front of his sweaty palm. He imagined it growing out and thickening, and just moments before impact he shouted, "BAKUDO NUMBER THIRTY NINE! ENkosen." Kusari choked on his words out of nervousness as the shield spun up from his riatsu and disbanded Kiisho's kido. It was embarrassing, but proper for somebody of his rank, or rather lack there of to be afraid of a Lieutenant firing a kido at them, even if it was solely for training. Realizing he wasn't dead Kusari gave a nervous laugh, because he realized that even those in the afterlife need to fear death.
