"Who are they?" Kunzite had her pinned to the wall; she didn't lower the sword, so its cool edge was still pressed against her throat. However, she loosened her grip on her hair and then let go, laying her hand flat on the wall next to Serandite. "Tell me who they are. The six you've met. Tell me their names. Who's the highest-ranking? Who does Charonite favor? Tell me."
It was a tall order, or set of orders, but one more look at Kunzite and it definitely didn't seem like any of them were optional.

Serandite only hesitated for a split second before answering, listing the names off. However, there was one name she didn't want to list, quite sure that this cavalier shouldn't know that there was a corrupted senshi on their side. If she did know.. Well, Serandite certainly didn't know that. And she wasn't going to ask to find out.
"I've met six lieutenants. Tanzanite, Nealite, Obsidian, Tobernite, Charonite and Tisirite." It came out easily, the lie. Giving the name "Tisiphone" might be quite dangerous.. After all, it wasn't the name of a mineral. Kunzite might catch on, if given Tisiphone's real identity.
"I can't tell you who he favors.. it might be Tobernite because he was sent on some top-secret mission. Nealite.. Well, she seems to have a lot more knowledge and experience than all of us puppy lieutenants combined." Serah tried to stick as close to the truth without revealing anything unnecessary yet.. tell what she knew. Quite a difficult task.

If Kunzite knew it was a lie she gave no sign of it. At least there was that. Instead she looked like she was concentrating -- committing the names to memory, most likely -- and then gave another nod after she was finished. "Do any of you have any abilities," she pressed on, eyes still boring a hole through Serandite's skull, "aside from the weapons you wield? Do you have monsters at your command?"
She heaved what had to be an irritated sigh, but she didn't hit Serandite again; instead, she continued on, "Does Charonite keep you all so in the dark? You're at least twenty strong, Lieutenant. You might ask him to stop hiding things from you. If he cared enough about what happened to you to tell you about everything," gestured with her free hand and then returned to using it to trap Serandite between herself and the wall, "perhaps this wouldn't have happened to you."
The cavalier's eyes glinted with some unreadable but clearly intense sentiment. "You might be dead by now -- at my hand, behind that the negligent hand of your General-King." The word was contemptuously spoken. "I advise you ask him for an explanation, Serandite. Now continue."

"As far as I know, we have nothing but weapons. The youma aren't wielded by mere lieutenants such as me. But since you'll find that youma is common knowledge in this city, they do pop up from time to time." Serandite watched the other carefully, tensing as Kunzite sighed. But it appeared to be an unnecessary reflex. Tisiphone's powers were kept out of the conversation-- considering that Serandite had never seen Tisiphone's powers in actions, that was more information she couldn't (and wouldn't) give. But she should still keep her guard up--- if she hadn't learned that by now, she would have to be a moron with no sense whatsoever.
Serandite took in Kunzite's words with a sense of resentment and bitterness but she knew that Kunzite's words rang true. But how could Serandite ask Charonite for information if he didn't deem it worthy enough to tell a lieutenant such as herself? But if he had told her, Serandite would have steered far away from Kunzite.
"You know him. He'a a sink or swim sort of guy. But you do hold some valid points which I can try to bring up. " If Charonite didn't kill her for her pathetic loss first. By now, the pain had subsided with the lack of movement on her parts lthough once she henshined back, Serandite was sure it would hurt greatly. Serandite feared another blow to her face, wondering if her words sounded too audacious to the other. But Serandite couldnt help answering in such a manner in response to the obvious contempt from the other cavalier.
It was so damned irritating.

"Putting your subordinates down to create a false sense of authority," said Kunzite, "is terrible leadership. And leads to situations like this." She glanced between Serandite and her fallen bunny and shook her head, in contempt and no small amount of disgust. "He should know better. I taught him better."
A sparrow could have fallen in the silence followed by that remark. However, a few moments later Kunzite went on as if she'd said nothing momentous: "You have two corrupted senshi in your ranks." Wait, she knew about Tisiphone? Two? "What was done with their starseeds?"

It seemed.. that Kunzite and Charonite had a past..? Hm. That was quite interesting. But Serandite struggled to keep a calm facade unsuccessfully as Kunzite brought up the topic.
"Whoa-- wait, two?" This led to two conclusions. One, she knew of Tisiphone. Two, Serandite was sorely out of the loop. "Uh.. I dont know? You know, I've heard rumors they have holes in their chests.. It's not like they carry it around so I assume Charonite has it?" Tisiphone did have a hole in her chest. It was one of her --- distinguishing features in her henshined self. By this point, Serandite was getting a little flustered. Who was feeding this information to Kunzite? Certainly not a senshi.
Serandite had yet to learn the existence of guardian cats yet. She was very confused. But then again, she didn't know anything. Nothing more than a drop in the bucket.

Kunzite didn't press her for further knowledge, but didn't lower the sword from her throat either. For a moment she seemed to be considering. It was troubling, the methodical sureness with which she'd gone about all of this -- it was like she'd done this before, done this quite a bit before, which was unsettling. She couldn't be older than eighteen.
"Do you know anything," she said calmly, and here the blade pressed ever so slightly harder into her skin, "of the fate of Prince Endymion?"

It was quite scary. Kunzite obviously gave off the aura that she had far more wisdom and experience that could possibly accumulate in the span of eighteen years. She tensed more as the sword pressed closer against her neck, threatening to slice a thin line of blood against her small pale throat.
"Well, I have to ask, who is this Prince Endymion you're talking about? I have absolutely no clue who he is, much less his fate." Serandite said the name with difficulty, the new word sounded strange on her lips.
Unfortunately, it appeared as if Serandite was of no help whatsoever.

Kunzite stared at her for a moment longer: for that terrifying moment, Serandite could've been sure that that had been the wrong answer. But she took a deep breath and said, "That's something else you can ask your leader about."
Abruptly she took her blade away from Serandite's throat. But just as Serandite thought that she might be in the clear, Kunzite abruptly backhanded her again, the flat of her gauntlet hitting Serandite's face and spinning her head to crack into the wall behind her again. As Serandite's vision spun Kunzite seized hold of a chunk of her hair again and yanked her neck back, hard, causing Serandite to stumble with her as she stepped away from the wall. "Listen to this, Lieutenant," she was saying, "and don't forget anything that I've said."
They were both standing in the alley now, Kunzite's sword leveled at Serandite's chest with a firm grip on her; as she stumbled for footing, Kunzite pulled her upright by the hair. "Remember this. You will lose. You have lost before. You will lose again. It may not happen tomorrow," she hit Serandite again, "or the next day," and again, "but the Moon Court will not stand for this insult and the Earth Court will not tolerate this treason. We will hunt down every last one of you. We will find out who you are and kill you. And unlike us," she stared Serandite in the eyes, "you don't come back."
She shoved Serandite into the opposite wall and leveled the sword on her again, and didn't say anything for a moment or two -- another moment where it was beginning to seem terrifyingly possible that she would break her word. But instead she said, simply: "Tell Charonite that his commander sends his regards."
Then, without fuss, mechanically, she smashed the pommel of her sword into Serandite's other eye -- and then she grabbed her and shoved her towards the mouth of the alleyway.

Another backhand.. REALLY? As if Serandite wasn't knocked around enough, without a chance to react, her hair was yanked forward, her unsteady body threatening to fall forward if not for Kunzite's helpful assistance. As if she could do anything other than listen. GODDAMNIT.
The multiple hits wasn't all that great either. Swelling rose in areas that Kunzite hit over and over, her cheek was swollen moreso than ever before in her life. An insult.. Did the moon court think of them so lightly? As if they were merely bothersome ants that had to be exterminated. For the first time, real fear crawled up in Serandite's chest, hoping sincerely that Kunzite never found her.
With the last parting message Kunzite gave her, she couldn't say that she didn't expect it. It didnt hit her eyeball but it did hit her closed eyes, the stinging unbearable pain shot out from both of her eyes. Shoved towards the mouth of the alley, she stumbled forwards, body sorely weak from the major pounding. Major wasn't even the right word for it. She leapt up in the roof to escape. How humiliating. But there was no other way. She couldn't run through the streets looking like this. This was the worst defeat. Serandite was quite sure, even some other experienced negaversers couldn't compare. They probably could but Serandite didnt feel so at the moment.
