Smiling, Kanobi nodded again. "I'll just have a look, you do what you need to do." He didn't say that he knew that about the berries, instead keeping it to himself. He was happy to let his daughter, who was following in his hoof steps, to "show off" a little.

Asher left her father to his own devices while she carefully stored her acquisitions, putting everything in its appointed place. When all was settled, she wandered back over to Kanobi. "So, that's done. Shall we go now?" she asked, somewhat hesitantly. She hadn't spent much time around her family members in quite awhile.

Kanobi trotted carefully theough the stash, sniffing at this and inspecting that. The entire time his mouth held a proud though bashful smirk. Had he really raised this young lady so well? She appeared to have inherited his shyness, but her intellect was high grade! He looked up and nodded. "Sure. I'm sure Meinir will be there. Kari and Kamala are more uncertain. I think they were going out to explore for the day." He turned and headed off, giving the sky a glance before settling on a direction.

"Well, maybe we'll meet them on the way? And, even if we don't, I'll still get to see Meinir," Asher said, smiling shyly. Hopefully her sister wouldn't mind all her boring talk about herbs and poultices... With that thought in mind, Asher set off after her father, trotting until she was walking side by side with him and then slowing her pace to match his.

Kanobi nodded. They walked in a surprisingly comfortable silence for a while before Kanobi smiled and gave Asher's neck a nudge with his muzzle. "It really is good to see you again. Do you have any... friends?" His hesitation and slightly pink face gave his question an obvious tilt. He was mostly asking if she had any male friends.

Asher couldn't help herself. The hesitation, the added color to her father's face.. She laughed aloud and bumped his shoulder. Quickly stifling her laughter, she turned to look at Kanobi directly. "I actually don't have any friends, really. And I certainly don't have any males lining up to get a look at me," she assured him, smiling slightly.

Kanobi nodded, suddenly unsure if he was relieved by her answer or not. No friends at all? Well, he was no expert at making friends. Perhaps she had inherited that from him as well as her medicinal skills. He didn't have the guts to tell her to go looking for anyone either, so he was stuck. "You're the same as your sisters." He said finally, a small smirk on his face and a playful wink. "Such lovely faces and personalities with only your mother and I to enjoy them. Doesn't seem fair."

"I'm content," Asher replied honestly, her expression reflecting her words. She really was quite satisfied with her life and the organized chaos of her life's work. She didn't need anyone cluttering it up.. "And you can't tell me that you're not at least a little relieved about my lack of male companionship," she teased, standing in front of him and grinning, her ears and tail flicking away the occasional bothersome insect.

"That's what matters." He said with a smile. His smile turned into a smirk when she caught him in his relief. "Well... Maybe a little." He chuckled, nudging her shoulder and continuing on. "When you're ready, having someone at your side isn't so bad." He sniffed at the air. "We'll be there any moment now."

"I imagine so but I haven't met anyone I care for like that.." Truthfully, she hadn't really met anyone aside from her family. Her time was consumed by her passion for medicine. Sure, she'd treated other kirin, but she didn't take the time to get to know any of them.. At her father's announcement, Asher's ears perked and she felt her face heat up. It had been so long since she'd spent any time with her family that she was feeling nervous about the reunion. What if they had changed so much that she didn't really know them anymore? Or vice versa...

Kanobi chuckled lightly. "Plenty of time for you." He trotted on ahead confidently, his family being about the only thing he had confidence about besides his medical practice. Smiling as the familiar scent of home reached his nose, he pushed some weeping tree branches aside, revealing a small cave at the base of the mountains. Settled on a ledge above the cave entrance, head and ears perked at the sound of approaching hooves, sat Meinir. "Meinir! Look who's here to visit!" **belatedly adds picture** >///> Having just finished eating, Meinir had curled up on her favorite ledge to clean off her sticky muzzle. She heard the two kirin before she saw them, standing as her sister came into view. At first, she couldn't believe it, but who else could it be. "Asher?" She hopped down for a closer look.

Asher sidled after her father, ducking her head to avoid the branches, feeling awkward and unsure of herself. But when she saw her sister, she brightened considerably and smiled. "Yes, that would be me. Hi Meinir. How've you been?" she asked, laughing, and stepped forward to touch her muzzle to her sibling's. "It's been a while, hasn't it?" Cocking her head to the side, she studied her sister. It had been a while. She'd grown taller since Asher had last seen her.

Kanobi smiled happily, tail flicking slowly behind him in pleasure. The girls were recieving each other well. Now, hopefully his mate and other daughter were around... "I just kinda bumped into her. Lucky me, eh?" He chuckled, curling up in place on the ground.
Meinir was still in a little shock. They hadn't seen each other in so long... "Uh, yeah, a while." Blinking, she shook her head clear and started to chuckle, returning the greeting nose touch. "I've been well. Not a whole lot going on though at the moment. .....It's good to see you again. Last I heard, you were still working like dad?"

Asher bobbed her head in response to the question, smiling. "Yeah, I'm still doing my healing thing. Dad actually met me in the middle of gathering some things I was low on," she explained, glancing over at Kanobi. "He kinda touched on 'the dad talk', too. Skirted the subject of friends of the..uh..male persuasion," Asher added, chuckling at the memory of his discomfiture.

Kanobi looked up when Asher brought up their talk, standing up with a warming face. "Someones got to talk to you about it..." He muttered softly, walking toward the cave.
Meinir looked over at their father, smirking slightly. "Ah, I've yet to get that little talk from him. I don't need it anytime soon though." Chuckles to herself. "He has a watchful eye on us, try as he might. You'd think he was about to personally pick a guy for us himself if he wasn't so bashful about the subject."
