"That is a big part of it I think. I guess I am always a bit of a worry wart in the end. This was the first time I ever traveled by myself and I wondered if I missed you if I will ever get to see you." Dan said as he continued to look into her eyes. It all seemed like some scene from a movie he couldn't remember meeting Lisa like this. "I am glad to finally see a face to match those eyes of yours."
Dan looked down as he gently took the hand rubbing his arm and brought it up to meet his lips so he could kiss it. "So shall we move on to our next destination dear lady? I humbly offer my escort through these dangerous corridors." Dan said with a smile and a half bow.

Lisa laughed, her face was the embodiment of pure bliss. "I am very happy that we did meet up Dan." She said blushing and shaking her head. This was a dream, a wonderful dream come true. She felt compelled to offer him a counter for his kind compliments. "And you, you look so good. There is something about you that a picture could not show me." For one thing, he was solid, his hugs could finally mean something, his actions were now real and happening before her.
"Yes, it's this way." Lisa said with a gentle gesture in the right direction, and she lifted her backpack again onto her shoulder. Now that she was with Dan she decided to use the wheels on the luggage. "Luckily we're almost to the luggage claim. I'm sure you have a bag or two there." She said keeping a hold on his hand, the hand that his lips had so gently touched. Oh did her heart beat, she was in heaven. "And I accept your escort." This was so like a fairy tale!

"That is most splendid news dear lady. I Sir Daniel are at your service." Dan said with a good laugh. He was enjoying this very much and he squeezed Lisa's hand as they began to walk. His grip was firm but gentle as their hands sealed each other in their grasps.
Even if they said he did not complete the physical exam he was much stronger then the 98 pound kid that graduated from high school putting on almost 80 pounds of muscle since he joined so Dan wanted to make sure he didn't accidentally hurt Lisa. He has never been with someone like her before and he didn't know his full strength as of yet.
Dan glanced down at their held hands as his heart beat at a slightly faster pace. They flirted online but there was always distance between them then. Between the warmth of her being here and the energy Lisa shared he couldn't help but get swept up in the excitement as all his worries seemed to melt away. Soon the baggage claim came into view and they awaited their stuff.

Lisa shook her head in disbelief. He was so sweet, so cute, so well mannered. She loved this now, getting to meet him. And now she had a full three days with him at the convention. Oh it would be such great fun! She felt him squeeze her hand, and looked up at his face. She could see him calculating something. "Owww." She whined immediately after, and searched for a reaction from him. "I'm just kidding." She said shortly after. Truth be told she was afraid of falling into silence. It would be awkward if they were silent all the way to the hotel. She wouldn't let that happen! Online they always had something to talk about! How was now really different.... save for the part where Lisa felt stronger hidden behind words than here with him. Did he feel the same?
Lisa's mind was full of possibilities as she walked with him thought the over packed hallways. But just as she remembered the baggage claim was just ahead. She already had her bags, so together they waited for Dan's. "So have you ever been to a convention before?" She asked Dan, looking up at the guy who stood only a couple inches over her. She was fairly tall herself. She blushed when she recalled Dan's comment on her height. It makes it easier for us taller guys when we kiss. Was it possible they said too much online, so this would be a failure. Lisa hoped not very much.

Dan flinched a little when Lisa said ow afraid maybe he hurt her but she was just kidding making him feel better. Dan was sure if anyone saw them waiting her they would look like a couple and he wondered if Lisa thought the same thing.
"Nope this is the first time ever. It is funny because I probably wouldn't have gone if you didn't ask me to come along. The place I came from is a small city so we don't have anything really close by like these things." Dan said as his luggage suddenly came into view. He took his suitcase in hand without letting go of her hand.
Dan turned his head to see Lisa blushing again. He remembered her saying she blushed a lot and he smiled. In reality he thought even if they lived so far from each other normally he still cared for her. He wondered if she thought the same thing but didn't want to upset her because they only just met.
"So what is on your mind Lisa? I bet you are all sorts of excited to get everything ready for the convention. I know I can hardly wait to see you in your costume." Dan said as he continued to smile. She really seemed like some kinda of magical salve healing his recent emotional wounds.

"Well I am happy to share your first Con with you!" Lisa said with a giggle and a smile. "I am very happy that you did come. When you said you would it actually surprised me." Lisa said bashfully. "Especially since you come from so far away." She explained softly. "This is the closest convention to my home, so..." She dropped off. Silently she watched him step forward and grab his luggage bag. He did so skillfully, never letting go of her hand.
"Oh, I am so very excited! I can't wait to see you in your costume either. That will be really wonderful!" She smiled, and laughed softly. "OH! I forgot!" Lisa exclaimed. She pulled her camera from her pocket and held it up. Click, the camera flashed. "There, first picture taken!" Lisa cheered and stepped forward to hug Dan. "I hope you don't mind. I have a feeling I will have a lot of memories here." And you are my first, she thought to herself.

Dan was caught off guard as the flash went off. Maybe this is what it was like for his unexpecting victims as he took pictures of his friends. Sure he deleted the pics if he or his friends didn't like them but it sure was an interesting experience being on the receiving end of a shot.
"No I don't mind. I am sure we will have many fun memories together." Dan said warmly hugging Lisa with his one good arm. He wanted to drop his suitcase to give her a full hug but barely in the airport was not really the place with so many people walking past them. "Now let's get a taxi shall we? A new adventure awaits the both of us."

"Oh yes of course!" Lisa exclaimed, squeezing his hand gratefully. "I think a taxi would be a very good thing to get at this time. Now Dan, are you sure you have everything?" Lisa asked him with a stern eye. She was merely joking, but it was always a good thing to watch for. She checked herself to make sure she had her luggage and her backpack. She had both, and was ready to go get a taxi. "We are going to the same place, yes?" She asked. "Do you think that we could... share a taxi?" She asked shyly, and with a slight blush.

A loud speaker announced that they were arriving. Nathianiel looked up surprised, they must have gone quicker than expected. He grabbed his duffel bag, slinging it over both shoulders. He shot by the rest of the passengers, skating down the aisle and down the stairs. He mentally checked the bus schedule and dashed, catching an earlier bus than before. He hopped up and rolled down, grabbing an empty seat. he pulled his laptop back out and accessed the Twitter-like site that he used to update his online friends.
Hello all, my train arrived sooner than ever, and now I am on my way to the luxurious hotel to prepare for Baka Con. For those of you that might be lucky enough to go, I will be seeing you soon, though you might not see me. Now what is everyone doing?
He posted and let his laptop idle as the bus worked it's way along.

"Hmm? Unless mice have scurried into my suitcase to carry off my stuff then everything should be in here." Dan said with a chuckle. "As for a taxi I would have it no other way if my lady requests it." Dan wasn't sure if he was blushing as they continued to hold hands on the way out.
"You know Lisa, I guess I was right when I said you were cute when you blush." Dan sad a little louder then the sound of people around them. "Not that you aren't cute either way."

Lisa's lips turned upwards in a smile. She looked up at him with gentle eyes. "And you Dan," She began, feeling obligated of course to say something to Dan for his kindness. "You're just as sweet as I ever thought you would be. From the example of people back at home I would have never thought it possibly, but you are amazing, you are you. I know that you are good Dan." Ever as she said this she could not bring herself to tell him that she also found him to be attractive.
"Er, thank you." She said, remembering to thank him for his compliments.

"You don't have to thank me for the truth Lisa. I am very excited too." Dan said as the world seemed to change as fluorescent light was replaced by natural sunlight once more.
Walking outside a row of taxis moved in and out of the loading zone as people came in for a flight out of the city and an assortment of people that were flying in. Dan wondered how many of these people were here for the convention. Was it common for people from all over to go to a convention?
Dan looked over the row of vehicles and moved toward a relatively clean looking taxi with Lisa. The taxi's around here were nicer then back in his hometown but he still only used them when absolutely necessary.
"Let's see here." Dan said as he put his suitcase down and stepped upon it. It might have seemed silly but he found strength and joy in holding Lisa's hand so he dug in his pockets for the hotel name so the taxi driver can take them where they need to go. He frowned for once as he realized he couldn't find the crumpled piece of paper with the hotel name. "Uhhmm this is a little embarrassing to say but I lost the paper with the hotel name. Do you recall where the hotel is?"

Lisa raised her hand, and baggage up to shield her eyes when the blinding light of day flooded the area. "Wow, it's bright out here for a overcast day." Lisa grumbled softly to herself. She continued to smile.
She watched him step onto his suitcase. Looking up at him she asked, "What are you doing Dan? There is a perfectly good taxi right in front of us." All the taxi drivers seemed to be men, this was something that she had expected, and she felt safer with Dan than she did riding around alone.
She saw him digging though his pockets and laughed softly. "Yes, Dan, I do have the hotel information." She pulled her planner from her pocket and flipped to the right page, making sure to avoid the first page. "So have you found one that you like?" She asked with another soft laugh.

"What? A hotel? I think I am at the same hotel you chose. That way it will be easier for us to prepare for the convention without going to different buildings." Dan said as they made their way to the taxi ahead of them and the driver took their luggage and put it in the trunk. It was a tough business competing with other cabs Dan thought as he opened the door for Lisa ans waved her in. "After you my dear."

Lisa giggled. Dan was beginning to seem a little confusing. "I think you asked me where I was staying and made your reservations right after me." Lisa said smiling and shaking her head at him. Lisa stood back and allowed the taxi driver to do his thing, she thanked him for taking her bag, but decided to keep her backpack with her. This she didn't want in the back.
"Thank you Dan," Lisa said stepping forward with a slight jump to her step and sliding into the back seat of the vehicle. "Good afternoon sir." She said with a glance in Dan's direction to make sure he was getting in. "This is the destination we are both looking for." She said leaning forward and showing the driver the address. "Thank you!" She chirped and looked over to wait for Dan to be settled.
