The fact that he had went silent hadn't even registered with her fully. Walking alongside him almost felt natural, as if they did this for some time. Her mind kept wandering as well. The small mare's thoughts mainly revolved around if she did travel with this stallion; would it be with his 'herd', her father, or would the two be on their own. A soft rose color appeared on her cheeks when she realized what she was thinking about. Shaking the thought from her mind for now, she continued her trek home.
Soon enough, her ears flicked at the silence between the two. She blinked some. "Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to go quiet like that. How rude of me."

He was content in the silence as well and when she spoke he stopped a moment, blinking as his all black eyes peered at her through his mane, 'Hmm? Oh! Oh...,' he blushed too, tho it would have been harder to tell. 'Not at all,' he chuckled. 'It wasnt as if I was any different.'
He looked around a bit and nuzzled into her shoulder as if to press her on a bit. 'How much further?' not that he was bored, he was just curious.

Aylen looked to him as he also seemed to snap out of a 'trance' like state. Well, at least it wasn't just her that spaced out on their 'trip'. It made her happy to hear that he was okay with the little occurrence that just happened. "Yeah, I know... but, it would still be nice to be able to keep up a good conversation."
When he nuzzled into her shoulder, she blushed softly. Looking back to him after he did so, she listened to his question. A small frown appeared on her face just then as she answered. "Well, it is still some distance ahead, I'm afraid. You don't have to escort me the whole way if you do not want to."

Her blush made him chuckle softly, warmly. He kept a smile even through her frown and he shook his head, his all back eyes peered easily through his forelocks. 'I dont mind at all, I was just curious,' he paused, thoughtful for a moment.
'You seem to have been a long way from home...'

It made her feel better once again to hear him say that he didn't mind the distance and will continue to walk her home. His last comment made her giggle a little, though a bit awkwardly. "Yeah, I know. Sometimes, I just lose track of where I'm going and end up being rather far from home. Don't get me wrong, I don't get lost much like my father tends to do, it's just, I guess I let my legs carry me wherever." She said with a slight shrug. She then added, "people tell me that if I like wandering so much, I should leave home for good. But, I couldn't even stand the thought of leaving my father."

'Do you ever wander with your father?' he asked quietly. He gave a faint yawn as he rolled his shoulders a bit. They had been walking for some time and he almost felt like he were actually sleep walking. The yawn and stretching helped him wake out of that a little bit.
It wasnt something he minded at all, but he had certainly felt comfortable enough to drift off so easily.

"I always wonder with my father. He's on this journey to find something of some kind. I have yet to officially leave his side, but I always find myself taking little side-quests on my own." She explained softly. When he yawned, it was then that sh realized that she was getting a little tired as well. Letting out a soft yawn, she stopped, "how about we rest here for awhile? It seems that we are both a bit tired."

Blinking a bit he shook his mane from his eyes, a concerned look in his eyes a moment, he hoped he wasnt giving her the wrong impression, he didnt even realize he actually had yawned.
'Sure...I mean, if your okay with it. I dont want you to think Im bored or anything,' he caught himself being a little too concerned, and he blushed as he cleared his throat, letting his mane over his eyes again. He couldnt help but to chuckle a bit, maybe he was just tired...

The look of concern on his face caused her to tilt her head. Did she, perhaps, say something wrong by suggesting they rested? She surely hoped she didn't, that would be a shame. When he replied, she shook her head, "I didn't think anything like that. I just figured we can take a small break so we're not completely exhausted when we do find my father." She explained, her tail giving a small swish.

Kaim's nerves eased a bit at her words and he nodded, straightening a bit as he smiled. 'Ah yes, alright then' he looked around a bit. 'Thats a good idea, I wouldnt want to seem out of sorts when making a first impression,' he chuckled.
His worries and self consciousness was easily erased by her words and tone. He started to pull some branches down that were close by enough to make a small canopy from the sun that was now almost mid sky. He wasnt trying to impress her as much as he was trying to make some suitable shade for them both.
When he was done, he nodded his head a bit. 'There,' he looked back to her. 'Ladies first'.

When he finally agreed to have a rest stop, she gave herself a small shake before going to settle down. At his comment about first impressions and looking 'out of sorts', she giggled, "Oh, there's no need to worry about that, my father isn't one to judge." She comforted.
Just as she was about to lower herself onto the ground, she heard the sound of branches creaking. Blinking a bit, she looked up to watch Kaim move the branches. Her head tilted slightly, wondering what he was up to. Seeing the canopy he made, she let out a small 'oh!" She giggled as she approached their new make-shift shade and looked it over slightly. "This is nice. Did you teach yourself how to do this?"

It was a comfort to hear that her father wouldnt be a harsh judge of character. Not that he was honestly too concerned, or that he felt he couldnt handle it in the case that he was.
He chuckled at her astonishment, finding it rather cute and becoming of her. He shrugged a bit and nodded before poking around a bit to make sure it was secure and wouldnt collapse on them while they were resting or spring loose.
"Heh, yes... sometimes the sun gets too hot, especially when you are sleeping. And then youre usually too lazy to get up, and move or fix something," he chuckled a bit more. "Or maybe I just put too much thought into it."

She had just moved under the shade as he got up to check on its sturdiness. Carefully, she lowered herself to the ground with a soft nicker, watching him as he went about his current task.
She smiled as he explained how he came about starting to make the 'overhangs'. "Well, what is that saying? Invention is the result of necessity? So, I wouldn't say you put too much thought into it. The canopy idea is quite an ingenius thing. I wish I knew how to do it, it would have saved me and my father many times if I had this knowledge earlier."

Her words caused him to blush, and he thanked the gods he had darker toned fur lest she see. He finally shifted to settle behind her, as if to watch over them both, giving a yawn again as he stretched a bit to get comfortable.
"I can show you sometime, if you would like.." his voice was soft and trailed off. He was completely content and his eyes closed as he just took in all the feelings around him. Maybe he was a little more tired than what he let on to be honest, tho he didnt realize it until he was finally settled down.

She watched him as he settled himself behind her after checking everything. She smiled warmly as this happened, tail flicking lightly. She gave a small yawn herself, giving her head a quick shake. At his offer, she looked back to him and nodded. "Hmm... that would be nice." She replied with a soft nod before giving off one more little yawn. It was soon after that last intake of air, that her eyes slowly started to close, shifting her legs so they were tucked comfortably under her.
