Aden set the vial aside when it was full and pressed first a cotton ball to it then opened up a band aid to over it. He blinked a couple times then chuckled, "Sorry about this." He said, "grabbed the wrong one." It was a brightly rainbow colored band aid that was around in case a child needed one. He pressed it down to hold the cotton ball in place. He gave as soft sound then as he looked over the old wounds that the boys arm was covered in.
"Its hard, isn't it?" He murmured, gently running his finger along one of the wounds, "Your dual nature I mean. I have seen another spawn before with markings similar to yours." It had to be rough on them, to be angelic and demonic all at once, two very different entities that must face off against one another within a single body. He gave a little shake of his head, looking more sympathetic then anything.

Aludra held his arm still through the procedure, eyes following Aden with the closeness of a hawk, though he wasn't completely sure why. Part of him didn't trust the man in the same way that he didn't trust the building itself, but he figured that might just be the building, or that Aden tipped someone off about him having his halo, despite the fact that that made no sense. Taking inventory of the room while trying to remain nonchalant, he wasn't back to looking at Aden until he had a rainbow bandage that taped a cotton ball to his arm, following up the compliment with a roll of his eyes.
"Not as though it isn't accurate," he replied simply, questioning himself on whether or not it was accurate. After all, he'd once more decided to stop denying the fact that he had definite feelings for Lirona. But... Lir was still a boy at the same time as she was a girl... Ugh, he would think about the philosophical and sexual matters of transgenderism later; he was much more interested in the now.
Aludra trembled slightly at the touch, the tip of his tail curling in a bit. It was the kindness in the touch and the sympathy of the other's comments that had taken Aludra off-guard, though. He gave a weak attempt at a smile in response. "Yeah, you could say that," he said, tugging down his sleeve with a faint blush, mostly because anyone who wasn't him had seen the wounds at all. None had been in any attempt to terminate his life, simply... make a fair trade for all of the things that he'd wrongfully taken.
"There are some that have combinations that only ever negatively affected them during rare instances in their lives." He let a rather spiteful sounding laugh fall from his mouth. "Though I can't help but wonder what kind of person would think to combine such things like humility and greed, lust and abstinence, while somehow being under the impression that the child wouldn't forcibly implode or proceed to destroy themselves. Although I suppose that's part of the fun of We the Experiments."

Aden nodded, motioning to some of the charts, "There are mixes that actually do exactly what you said. They have tried on numerous occasions to mesh a demon with his opposite but it always ends in that child destroying itself." He murmured, "Lust will not merge with Chastity, the same can be said for Patience and Wrath. Don't mean they won't try on occasion." He figured the repeated attempts were due to those people wanting badly to get Vampy's approval to fall upon them.
He shook his head as he took a note on the charge next to him, "This place seems to care little for that sort of thing and the consequences, its why I am here and not out there." He pointed to the door. Aden considered himself a Doctor, he wasn't a tech, he wasn't a scientist, and he didn't screw around with life in the manner they did. He just screwed around.
"I am guessing being of humility and greed that its very stressful on you?" He asked, resting the tips of his fingers against Aludra's wrist to check his pulse as he asked the question.

Aludra couldn't help but wince at hearing that they actually did try that. It wasn't even just the attempt, but the way that it was phrased, it sounded like they succeeded in making a child only for the poor thing to be destroyed. Already having a sin and virtue that didn't mesh, he could only imagine what it would be like. Greed and liberality or humility and pride... the mere thought of it made him shiver; in a way, it made him like his combination more than he had when he'd walked into this room. At least he was alive.
A grateful smile was what Aden was given at the information that he only worked in the hospital. "I suppose that's my cue to stop merging your title with that of a technician?" he offered, noting it down in his head. Hey, it would be confusing to see one of the white coats showing kids to parent meetings and yet being considered something that wasn't 'Nameless Disposable Techclone #85'. It was also nice that at least someone didn't seem entranced in an emotionally detached way about the spawn, but generally seemed interested in them as people.
"Unfortunately so," Aludra responded, shaking his head. "My friend Vincent seems to deal with it well enough, but for whatever reason the combination didn't sit well with me. See this?" he said, lifting his left leg onto the table, knee to his chest, fluttering the tattered anklewing weakly. "That was the first time that I ever decided that self-sacrifice was the proper way to trade for material gain."

He gave a chuckle, "That would be nice. I am a medical doctor, not a mad scientist sort. I never bothered to take the needed classes in college to be one of those." He explained, giving a wink.
He gave a nod as he admitted that the mixture of his DNA was hard on him, "It could be a balance thing, which trait he leans more toward, and which your more like. If its a steady balance where they are equals I can seem then as causing more problems then if one were greater then the other. Just a guess on my part mind you. Sort of like internal tug of war." He looked down at the leg that was shown to him and he lifted his hands to gently inspect the ankle wing that looked a little worse for wear.
His fingers moved over the bones to check them out, to see how badly off the little wing was.
"I think it ties into what is wrong with you, as well as the source of the blood." He lifted his gaze, "Not the wing, mind you but your struggles with your DNA."

Aludra laughed a bit at just the thought of a college class solely made for that purpose despite the idea making his stomach churn. The wink had his face heating up again around the edges, but he chose to ignore it this time, tugging at one of the earrings in his long, pointed ears.
"That would definitely explain a lot," Aludra agreed, greatly enjoying this conversation despite it centering around himself. It was practically a pastime of his to try and investigate the different explanations for certain ticks of his, weird habits that he didn't know how to explain. For all intents and purposes, Aludra would probably make a pretty good technician. Well, more of the independent study sort, not so much the following orders kind. He'd bother to try to make kids that did work right.
"The period of time when I met you, I was humility-dominant. It was... hard to keep that up, so say the very least. Greed's always been the much more all-consuming of the two, as would be assumed. At least, for me it is," he explained, the wing flapping at the touches, though it looked more like awkward twitching to be honest. There were few feathers left, and it was more like a feathered tuft than it was a wing anymore, the bones sticking out at odd angles and the few feathers still there looking like they'd been attacked by an overly-affectionate toddler.
Aludra was at rapt attention when there was even a comment made about Aden thinking, hell, anything about what was wrong with him, tail tip thump-thump-thumping on the cot behind him like an overzealous puppydog. Really, it would probably seem abnormal for someone to be excited to know what was wrong with them, but it was more the knowledge itself that was exciting. "What do you think, then?"

Aden made a thoughtful sound, "This doesn't seem to have been set very well." He murmured, wondering who had done the job and thought that person should be scolded. The only way to attempt to fix the damage wasn't really worth it as it would involve re-breaking and then setting the bones all over again. It would just be more pain then it was worth he was sure since touching the little wing didn't seem to pain Aludra that much.
He listed closely, to what he was saying about what was and wasn't dominate and which was more consuming then the rest. The idea that he was trying to keep one thing up while the other was more consuming in its need to be in charge, "The most basic way of putting it would be to call it a stress overload." He said, "To much of it would result in ulcers, its basically when your stomach sort of chews holes in itself causing bleeds. It would need to be prolonged stress in great amounts but given what you have told me..." He trailed off and shook his head as he patted the boy's leg in a gentle manner.
"Now, there are several ways to go about fixing it but I would rather we start with a simple and more natural cure as opposed to something more drastic. I am sure you would agree?"

Aludra laughed awkwardly at the statement, a sheepish smile on his face. "A-actually I didn't get it set. I kinda just... wrapped it up. I guess I didn't think that it was that important at the time," he supplied. It was true. There had been other people at the house at the time, prettymuch the entire family actually, but it was just seen as him slamming doors again, as he nearly bit through his tongue to keep quiet so no one came and made a big fuss about him.
Setting his leg back to a more normal position, his tail stopped moving when he heard what the problem was, blinking in... shock was probably the best description. Was it really something that severe? Here he had been thinking it would be something similar, but here he was almost only a year old -well, a year existent- and he had holes in his stomach lining from too much stress. "Well... can't say that's what I was expecting."
His eyes, this time, followed Aden's hand instead of his face, the boy having to fight back the urge to grab hold of the man's hand and claim him in his own name, one which wasn't deserving of that. Again, stress was the cause, though. Which meant that doing the back-and-forth argument-style of fighting in his head was a bad thing. As such, he settled for grabbing hold of Aden's pointer finger possessively, tail going back to thumping on the table, though slower, more thoughtfully. "Yeah, that would probably be the way to go about it," he replied with a bit of a smile, nodding a bit. "Not to mention that Noah -my healthnut of a yuppie guardian- would probably have me crucified if I took an unnatural way out."

Aden gave Aludra a very disapproving sort of look when he said that instead of having the little wing set that he'd just wrapped it up and called it good, "That is why little kids aren't Doctors." He scolded him lightly, then turned to write down a couple more notes on the chart before he gave a smile.
"Its a good thing... well not a good thing but at least an easily treatable thing at least." He told him as he got to his feet, carrying the vial of blood over to slid it into the small fridge so it would stay viable. He picked up a small note pad then, "Now, this is going to sound terrible and believe me it will more then likely taste just as bad but its what you need to drink. Trust me?" He wrote it down on the paper and held it out to Aludra.
"Cabbage juice, its known to heal over ulcers in as little as seven days so long as you make sure to drink a lot of it. Its helps in rebuilding the protective lining that was worn away." He told him as he handed over the small paper, "If you want to come in after that or at least send word on how your doing I would appreciate it."

The scolding honestly didn't seem to affect Aludra and, honestly, why would it? He well knew that he shouldn't have done what he did and he'd done it the wrong way, and he thought that about just about everything he ever did, except the one time where he would be able to prevent it, that being the time that the action was committed. At that point, the silly spawn was always sure that he was somehow justified.
"Yeah, I would call that good," he replied with an agreeing nod, still a little... surprised by what it was his problem was. Though it did make sense, what with the way that he lived his life. "Sure I trust you," Aludra replied instinctively at the question before he went over what had been said before then, deciding that it could stand with that answer. He chuckled a bit, taking the paper that was, in a way, a prescription, and raised his eyebrows, smiling -a full smile, not one of those lopsided things he usually gave- at Aden and getting to his feet.
"I think the only thing that would sound more terrible than the drink itself is the fact that Noah's probably bought it before..." he commented, making a bit of a face at the idea. "Though I wouldn't mind coming in after a bit..." He looked up at Aden in a rather charming sort-of way made little more than cute by his short stature, and gave a bit of a smile. "Care to show me out?" Both for the sake of having less medical conversation as they'd had earlier as well as to get let out of the place by someone who wasn't angry. Well...
Mostly the former.

Aden gave a happy smile when Aludra said that he trusted him, it was a nice to hear especially from one of the spawn. He didn't want for them to think that he was the same as the techs that worked here just because he had a similar uniform. He was a far cry from those nameless fools that did everything with their brains and nothing with their hearts.
He couldn't help but to give a wince and a chuckle at the fact that Aludra's father might already have the remedy at home, "Wow, really? That sucks... but I suppose its convenient having your medicine either on hand easily found." He told him, he set to work cleaning up the mess that he'd made in looking after Aludra, finished making a few new notes on the chart, and then set it down on the desk.
"Show you out? Sure, that would be nice, I could seriously use another smoke." He said, opening up the top drawer of his desk to seek out another pack, trading it out for the one he'd had on hand which was running low, "Shall we?" He motioned for Aludra to walk with him, smiling as he headed out of the work space, "I must admit I rather like having company, used to be that I spent time with Almas but since his son got home he's been away a lot. This is a nice change of pace to the quiet."

"I've gotten accustomed to Noah's strange taste in food over the years," he said with a shrug as a 'may as well grin and bear it' kind of smile. "Well, maybe not strange, per say. Vegetarian and health food oriented. Like, that really fancy, expensive 'all natural' stuff you find at stores that only have top-of-the-line cars parked out in front of them." He nodded a few times, unable to help the slight prickling of pride at the wealth of his family, despite the fact that he didn't much care for Noah, himself.
"So despite my greedy nature, if you ever need any extra money..." After all, it wasn't like they were saving it for something. It was practically Noah's job to spend it and donate it and all those other things.
Aludra eyed the cigarettes with interest, though not quite knowing where said interest came from. Probably the fact that the only person that he knew who smoked was his little brother's biological father, who was awesome, to say the very least. All grungy and sarcastic and... cocky, actually, which had always been a trait that Aludra envied. Sure, he didn't mind being humble, but he tended toward being overly humble, which was sometimes worse than being proud.
"Even mine?" Aludra asked instinctively at the statement about enjoying the newfound company, tail flicking back and forth as he followed behind Aden. His tail was still long enough that it would trail the ground if he wasn't careful. Hopefully he would grow out of that with his next growth spurt, though, just like he would stay taller than Lira that time. He smiled a bit. "Glad to be of service, then."

Aden gave a nod of his head, "I thank you for the offering." He said, he wasn't in need of money but he found the offer to be a kind one coming from the spawn.
The walk from the hospital wing to the front door was far more relaxed from Aden's end then the walk from the door to the hospital wing as he had been to worried for Aludra to enjoy their time as much. He turned to look over at the greed and humility boy and smiled, "Of course even yours, I have enjoyed our time together Aludra and I am glad that you came to visit. Just know that you can do so under good circumstances as well as the bad."
As they stepped out through the front door the Doctor set to first preparing his pack of smokes before he got one of them out, the rest being tucked away into the pocket of his lab coat. He lifted the cigarette up to his lips and proceeded to light it up. He took a long drag off of it before he tilted his head back and breathed out the smoke.

Miraculously, even Aludra was not so uncomfortable in this place after the appointment, given he now knew that there were actually kind people in this creepy excuse for a church building. Both a smile and a blush rose to his face when it was the truth that his company was enjoyed regardless of the fact that it was him, tail swinging a bit lower and tri-coloured eyes trailing the ground to try and subdue the blush on his cheeks, though the pink in his hair made it look as though it could just as easily be a trick of the light.
"I'll keep that in mind, though I can't help but wonder what exactly you mean by good circumstances," Aludra replied, trying to slip some sort of hint that he would gladly meet Aden at any given time or place, though he probably didn't pull that one off very well. Oh, well; it's not as though flirting was expected to be his strong suit. For Pete's sake, he was an awkward teenage boy. If anything, it was the one thing that he couldn't do.
Aludra had to resist asking for or taking one of the cigarettes automatically, rather staring on in envy, still in the habit or pressing his greed down into his stomach and, apparently, through his stomach lining. The smell of cigarette smoke had never really bothered him but, being in the current situation, he did decide that stale tobacco smelled worse than when it was actually being smoked.

Aden looked over at Aludra for a long moment before giving a grin, "Well as you said, you were only my patient for a short time." This spawn was a cute one he thought to himself, watching Aludra as he seemed to be learning and trying out the art of flirting, "Which means from here on out we can be more friendly." He couldn't help but to flirt back, it was just in his nature to do so with those that were attractive even if he was sure his Boss wold be unamused.
He lowered his hand after taking a drag and laughed, "They aren't as good as they look, a rather bad habit for a doctor to have picked up." He told Aludra when he noticed the way that he was being watched, or at least the way that his cigarette was being watched, "I ended up picking up the habit back in college to help with..." He trailed off for a moment looking thoughtful then shook his head, "Well stress but I can't in conscience say I recommend them given your a bit young."
Something that Aden found a bit amusing, that he didn't want to share his smokes due to Aludra's age but he'd still flirt with him.
