I love this idea. I have friends who love Hide, so we could get into a group and send the balloons to Hide with our messages. I have a video camera, and a digital, so I can tape the whole thing.
(man. Now I feel like Im going to cry.)

I'd totally do it, be it in Japan or where ever I happen to be. Where I am on his 50th, I, and however many fellow fans I can gather, will send balloons to heaven just for him.
And maybe play some music... which song of his would fit it best?

Emiri Neko Cool idea! I'd probably be able to get to Japan in the next 9 years. xp If not, I'll just let a pink balloon(s) go wherever I am. xd From the date you posted this, it would actually be a little over 2 years.

This is a great idea. I'm thinking on his tenth anniversary is better, but it's not as much time to save up. I'm curious about the time difference. Does anyone know how many hours difference there is between the US and Japan?
I'm also thinking right near where his funeral was would be good.
And attaching a note to the balloon?
I think that the song Goodbye would be best, to answer someone's question.
I saw a vid with that song, and it was hugely sad, but perfect also.
Also, on his tenth anniversary, I'm getting a tattoo with his name, and.... wait for it.... a little bitty pink spider. heart
What do you guys think?

Kyo_fan_for_life This is a great idea. I'm thinking on his tenth anniversary is better, but it's not as much time to save up. I'm curious about the time difference. Does anyone know how many hours difference there is between the US and Japan? I'm also thinking right near where his funeral was would be good. And attaching a note to the balloon? And from my town to Sapporo where I was, it was about 16 hours xD. It depends where you live in the US and where your going in Japan... I plan on getting a tattoo for hide, too. I mean, people get tattoos of Marilyn Monroe and pin-up girls so I figure it wouldn't be THAT weird to get a portrait of hide or something to symbolize him (maybe a lemon? xD). I mean, I've liked him for a lot of years now so it's not a phase I'm going through or anything.

Well, I guess wherever is closest to where the funeral was held, if this idea actually happens, so I wouldn't have as far to go to get there. I live in Minnesota. I did do a little checking, and it said it would be about 16 hours, and at least at least $1, 224, for the plane trip alone. I checked out hotel prices, and they're at least about $100 a night... eek Nah, it wouldn't be that weird. I wouldn't get a pic of him tattooed on me, though. I prefer smaller tattoos. Simple, inexpensive ones.
