Aludra scoffed and rolled his eyes at that observation, shaking his head. "Certainly not the first word that I would use to describe the low lives I spend my time around, but to each his own. After all, we greed children need to stick with those who understand us, don't we?" he questioned with a slight smirk, looking around the area a bit before the table was pointed out, at which point he nodded. "Should work."
Once the table was hauled out from whatever had been piled over and around it, Aludra thought a moment more. "I do believe that there should be some tape a bit closer than wherever your house is," be commented idly, peeking around sleeping bums and drug dealers with keen, tri-coloured eyes, before he finally settled on something. "You just need to know where to look," he added, shuffling a few boxes around and coming up with a nearly empty roll of duct tape. That is, nearly, which is not completely. Tearing off a piece and tossing the rest to Cody, he set to work on fixing the shoddy table, doing what he could to get it back on its legs.

Cody just shrugged of Aludra’s comment about his choice of words. “Better than the people I have to deal with on a daily basis, but like you said, to each their own,” he replied, knowing what his friend said next was also true. Those that shared similar hobbies and/or ideals tended to stick together. How did that little phrase go, again? Birds of a feather, flock together? Yeah, that sounded pretty accurate right about then.
“Hm? Oh, right. Yeah,” the boy mumbled as he used the remaining tape, and whatever else they found that was useful, to repair the table. After only a few minutes of work, the table finally managed to stand on its own without wobbling or tilting. Now how much weight it could support... well, that was another problem. Hey, it wasn’t like they were expert carpenters or something. It was a miracle they managed to get it to remain upright.
“Perfect. Now to make it look decent and get some stuff to sell and we’re set,” Cody replied, a dark and plot-full smirk on his face. If there was a “Best Evil Mastermind Look Contest”, he probably could have won first place without even trying.
