You might want to put on a Sableye since it has no weaknesses, or a legendary since most of them were pretty good in those games.

Start out witha Mudkip and for the HM's use this pokemon to learn most of your HM's Aron you can get upwards at the poke center in Dewford town. and catch a Tallow for fly. Don't use lendgenarys their very cheap since when you catch or see them their already at a high level so these are the pokemon that helped me when i had Emerald Version. Swampert, salamance, and Gyrados. I Hoped I helped sweatdrop

I never use my legendaries until I've already beaten the Elite 4 at least once. I prefer Pokes that I've raised from low levels.
