I havent really done much with spellwork as I'm still attempting to find where exactly i fit in with being a "Pagan" but anyway the few spells i happen to know havent exactly worked but thats not the point of them. Only one of them I used regularly and it worked fine just had to be repeated over and over... But yea Spells usually do what they are ment to but you have to make sure you use them in good will or else some nasty stuff could find its way to you.

From what I understand of practical magic"k", it's a sham. It alters things like "luck" or "protection", things that are impossible to prove. It's a placebo.

And if it is a placebo does that mean that it does not work or that the result isn't real?

IMO if it works don't fix it wink

I don't know that I would term what I do as spellwork... I tend more towards what one would call shamanistic ritual or 'Force of Will' magic. However, I have never had a magical working fail on me yet... but I don't do such often. They seldom work in the exact way I pictured them... but what in life ALWAYS goes EXACTLY as you wanted it to?

As being a wiccan i pratice magick and some wiccan holidays a prayer to honor the god and/or goddess the holiday is refering too.

prayers and migack have some thing in common with each other. Never will work alone! when you pray and ask for something, it wont *poof* and its there. the same goes magick. even a simple spell requires some help from the user!
