((She was standing above the water, but I'll make her fall back in.))

Barely half a minute and she was already in the water again, her IIM nullified mercilessly. That was what it felt like... to have someone twist her between tormenting fingers and time her for the worst. Her only fortune was that she was already in the shallows. Her hair pulled straight up and barely avoided getting drenched again. Everything below her neck and chin weren't so lucky.

The grit beneath her feet irked her toes. Some cut and some tickled. All were unpleasant. The feeling did not suit her, who had already kicked off her shoes, and she was all for leaving the water.

It was then that he appeared. Salvation incarnate. A prince to boot. Was this going to be the start of a lovely new romance? Was he her Prince Charming? Her White Stallion Prince?!

Pfft. As if.

Shel'rek... she knew of them... as well as the Shel'rei... To her, they were mere children... not even that -- they were infants. Newborns. She was old... old... old... No one would believe her if she said that she'd seen their existence at the first and have watched them develop till a few centuries back. His customs neither flustered her nor bothered her. She expected them.

Eternal youth began to become her greatest annoyance. It beat at her ceaselessly and mocked her without mercy. No one took her seriously. No one listened to her seriously. It was impossible for her to fully fathom all the wisdom that she formerly possessed. She still far surpassed humans in mathematical understanding. However, she wasn't even at a 0.00001% of her true potential.

Regulus said nothing of his misunderstanding. It was quite nice to keep to herself. Few people acknowledged the existence of her folk.

"Regulus... er... Aurora." She had no last name so she adopted her 'Father's.' 'Lionhearted' was such a flashy thing that she couldn't bring herself to announce in the shameful state she was in now. That name belonged to the former her. The glorious her. The goddess of victory her. A human didn't deserve it.

His action triggered her to curtsy -- or try, at least. That was common courtesy! Etiquette! She was so short and they were in water. It looked more like she was about to face-plant into the surface of the lake. Blushing at the mishap before she actually fell into the lake's trap, she lowered her eyes as if that's all she'd meant to do from the beginning. Water's never liked her much.

"Regulus Aurora. From..."

Where was she from again? She panicked for a couple of seconds. Oregon! That was a city, right? No... It was Arkansas. But wasn't Arkansas the capital of the city? Or was that Columbia? New Hampshire? Geography was not her field.

"From... A-America. I'm human."

Real smooth.

Something about her calling herself human was just a little off though. She looked inhumanly pretty, even in her human body. Why? Because she was freakishly glowing ethereal light? That could be part of it. What else? Red eyes... The ability to teleport...

If he bought that, it would be a stretch. Regulus sighed mentally. Interacting with others had never been a strong trait of hers.

"Regalia is okay too... Regulus isn't exactly a girl's name." She added. "Thank you for earlier, Mister Strangaild."

Lucien nodded, while he may have appeared to be somewhat of a thrill-seeker, he really only wanted to expand his knowledge- which is why he had no objections to her destination, "The gardens it is!" He said proudly, pointing from one point of the view to another as he'd attempt to locate it; and failed, "Oh, we'll find it eventually!" Lucien said before trotting back down the viewpoint. There was a nearby Treachu that pointed them to their destination and Lucien waved exaggeratedly for Evie to follow, speaking in a loud and theatrical voice, "Come now, princess! Your palace awaits and the gardens are anxious to bask in your presence!"

Evie let out a soft breath of relief as Lucien agreed with the idea of gardens. She'd much prefer them over something more exhaustion. He'd just collapsed, and she was still feeling a bit strange in this new gravity. She let out a soft sigh as she kept her arm around his waist and felt his upon her shoulders, leaving her with the idea that she absolutely could not let herself fall, or he'd end up falling with her. She'd definitely help him keep standing as well. Of course, then he went trotting off, and all of her thoughts ended abruptly. He was fine. Of course he was. A cat attack to the face hadn't phased him.

"P-princess?" Evie stammered, blush flaring up again. She glanced around herself in embarrassment, trying to see who else had overheard, and then shuffled quickly after him to catch up. She'd have to keep close so he wouldn't be able to yell out embarrassing things anymore... Still, the idea made her smile. As she'd said earlier, every little girl's dream... She let out a laugh as she reached him, smiling somewhat brightly now. "So are y-you my escort..?"

Gordon eyed her for a minute. She didn't look human and for sure she didn't feel human. Her aura displayed something about her....something Gordon couldn't see nor could he explain if he ever did see it. He decided not to question it and let it be. " I'm a Shel'Rek like I said. I come from a planet called Mer. Its a funny name I know but it doesn't exist here. I come from another universe, as strange as that is. Its actually quite normal to my people. I guess we are inter-universe travelers" Gordon with a smile, having no idea how ironic he was being.

The Shel'Rek where indeed a race that not only traveled the stars but other universes. Using the chaos energies around them, they can actually force open a hole to what they call The Stream. Its a tunnel that connects each universe to another. They had become so adapt at it, they even manged to create ships that could travel the Stream.

Gordon's meeting with Regulus also held another ironic twist, Shel'Rek philosophers always knew that many Gods could govern one Universe or even planet. However some thought that there might be even higher beings that watched over the Multiverse. In essence, by pure dumb luck, Gordon had discovered a philosophical break through for his people.

Lucien made a theatrical bow, an arm bent at his waist and his right leg extended behind him as he bowed his frame, right hand making forward circles as he'd reply, "I will be an escort as Paris was to Helena, if only for a short while." He gestured his bent hand to his side, the way towards the Gardens, "Shall we stride forth to the courtyards, highness?"

He smiled as he made her laugh and a bright smile crossed her face. It was nice, and he loved to indulge the fantasy, if only for a little while. Lucien smiled warmly as well, following behind her and taking in every detail he could. The architecture was magnificent! It was like Babylon had been resurrected and stood right before his eyes!

Due to traffic, however, Lucien was forced to walk behind Evie, grasping her by the shoulders and steering her around the crowds, turning around corners and going through the shortcut the merchant gave him to reach the gardens that now suddenly lay before him.

"Aha... ha ha ha... ha... ah... um..."

Nervous laugh time. Well... not nervous. More awkward than anything, really. Something told her that exposing her identity as a Fallen Star could cause problems. As much as she wanted to cause the Council some crazy s**t, she didn't want some idiot world-jumping maniac to take advantage of her renegade position and start destroying universes.

Touche.

Her defense? That was Raid and her gig. Someone else can't become called the 'World Destroyer' or the 'God Slayer.'That's totally copyrighted -- been there, done that.

Because she was a fallen star in human form, it was very plausible for her to be taken advantage of by a superior race that can withstand the physical and mental pressure of the Multiverse. Usually only True Immortals can enter in just their bodies alone. The coexistence of all time and space within the continuum is too much for a mortal body to handle. Some True Immortals never came back out because the Multiverse' immense amount of enlightenment drove them batshit insane. Most people can enter the Multiverse but can't stay inside it. World jumping that way did take a lot more energy than traveling it by vessel.

However, she suspected that the vessel in question only traveled on the paths through the Multiverse, being that they guided much faster and much smoother from one world to another. She had implemented the paths herself near the climax of her work. It was nice to know they were actually being used.

"That sounds interesting, Mister Strangaild. If it isn't too much trouble I would like to hear more about it, though..."

She stepped backwards a little, her sarong and top wrap dripping wet as she reached the bank. This would not do. Even though she was immortal, she could get sick now. Wet and cold meant a cold and a headache.

A large, golden-white lion engulfed her form for just a split second as she invoked her stellar fire. A protective barrier than to be placed around the outside as to not expose her savior to the harmful radiation or the immense heat of stellar corona. A moment was all she required to dry herself off and burn off the dust of travel, leaving her skin quite clean. Her feet would only get dusty again without shoes. She would figure those out later.

"We should get you dried first... " She wasn't sure how drying him would work unless if she put a full body barrier suit on him... but then if she did that, would he be able to breathe?

Gordon floated out of the lake, looking at his wet clothes. " Yeah its probably best is I did get dry. Hold a second" he said flying high up into the air. He began to fly slowly in circles before going faster and faster. At the speed he was going, the hot air he was constantly hitting acted like a blow dyer effect and within a few minutes, Gordon was dry. After floating around, dizzy from the spinning, he came back down and floated over the lake.

" Sorry about that. Anyways what did you want to hear more about? I know some stuff but I can't get too technical. My cousin Shepard knows about that stuff" he said, folding his arms a bit. People where always curious about what his race was since most Shel'Rek didn't make themselves known. Gordon was always happy to explain his races history and how they moved through universes.

"Anything is fine, really."

Her hair seemed to laugh softly, the intricate threads of luminescent white and silver shimmering like moonlight. She walked the fringe the lake carefully, trying not to cut herself on any sharp rocks. She looked far too close to 'perfection' to be who she claimed. Her slender legs barely looked functional. They couldn't have the muscle required to hold up so much hair! Yet they did. Her thin arms could not have the energy to wield the sword at her waist. It wasn't natural.

Her image did not make any sense. Neither did she.

"Anything you say would be useful to me."

Her body swayed. The weightlessness of being suspended in water left her. The heat of her own skill overbore her. What was this idiocy? To be rendered weak-kneed and dazed from the effects of her own Endless Hunt? Perhaps the heat and radiation finally caught up to her fortified, human body. It made her grimace in distaste at her own idiocy.

"I don't know anything about... well... anything." She steadied her body as they spoke, hoping that they'd take shelter inside soon. As much as she hated to go inside, the heat was weakening her slowly but surely. Her energy was being siphoned away. Such a slight body was not made for the retention of water or endurance in prolonged heat.

Rampant was growling. There was something that he wanted to say... she could not understand the inner connection between herself and her sword as there was no distinctly forged connection. They had yet to meet each other, the Lady and the Lord. Rampant's voice was unable to reach her.

Dark Angel of Sol

As Dante left the ship, he saw a few people being taken my some of the guards and taken into the palace. When he inquired about it to one of the guards, The guard first gave an astonished look as Dante was one of only a handful to not show any change to the planet. He then explained that some of the people couldn't stand the shock of the planet and passed out. They were taking them to be watched over and were prepared to take them on the next flight home if their health depended on it. I'm glad I was given this spell. Maybe when I get back I can find out who gave me the book. Dante decided to take a walk around the palace and found himself in the training yard.

(( Sorry. Finals suck DX))

" Well I guess I should start with the history of my race. My race lives on a planet called Mer. It have two huge continents on the right and left side of the planet. It also has two large North and South Poles. Humans mostly lived on the planet, with the exception of the Poles. The North had a hardy, much larger race of Humans and the south had elves and Dwarves" Gordon said as he walked with her towards the castle.

" On the left side of the planet my race developed. We reached a moderate level of technology. No guns or anything like that yet though. You could say we where on the course of the many Earths out their in the universe. But something happened. A plague hit us. It destroyed nearly everything. The countries descended into chaos. The plague brought the victims back as mindless vampires. Sucking Blood and infecting those they came across" Gordon explained, trying to remeber ever detail from the books he had read in his history class.

" From there its pure speculation. Many say that our current God, Hellfire, saw our plight and granted us new powers. He changed us and made us a new race of people. Not human anymore, but Shel'Rek or Ascended one. With our new powers over Chaos energy we pushed back the vampires and they retreated to the other continent. From their our population exploded. We had long lifespans and incredible minds. We hit a Golden age as our technology advanced at a an amazing rate. Within 200 years we had a space fleet" he went on.

" But we had forgotten about the vampires. They had unleashed hell on the other countries on the other side of the world. They had accpected a dark gift from the evil god Blackfire, Hellfire's brother. At first we lived in a state of cold war, our ideological differences making tensions. We believed in balancing Good and Evil. Too much of either was bad. They believed the same thing too, but they believed to balance them they needed to destroy everything, the planets, the universes and even the multiverse itself!" Gordon said with utter disbelief.

" War broke out when our space fleets clashed. It was a dead lock though, neither side could get a foothold on the planet. So our war expanded into other universes. Many planets where lost, many races destroyed by our war. We caused havoc wherever we fought. Some of our battles still have long reaching effects on planets today. Anyways, the final battle took place on Mer. It was so chaotic, so destructive that the influx of energy turned everything on the planet to stone. And it was stuck like that for years...until my father at least" Gordon said finishing up the story. It was a good distraction since they where almost too the castle.

" I'll tell you the rest another time if you want. I don't wanna bore you"

Five miserable hours trapped in a tin can, and Kira was finally free. But free to what? Alex had never shown up to go with her, so there she was, utterly alone on a planet full of alien lizard people. It was frightening, or would've been if she wasn't in such a zombie state. Her eyes were a little red, dull as they stared around the area. Eyes that should've been wide in amazement at the sight of the castle were blank and focused mostly on the ground, disinterested as she trudged along with her bag in hand.

"...it's hot," she grumbled to herself, one feline ear twitching and swiveling upon her head. But that was all there was; one feline ear, and two human ones, leaving her with an awkward, uneven number that was beyond her control. She tried to ignore it as she started forward, trudging from the ship. But then, something called out, and she froze for a second, tensing as her eyes landed upon it. An alien.

"Welcome, Scaleless one!" he chimed, and she offered a pitiful attempt a smile in response.

"Hello... thanks fo- A-ah!" She let out a yelp, lurching forward as her eyes widened, finally showing real emotion; shock and embarrassment. One hand rubbed at her bottom as a shade of pink appeared in her pale cheeks. That lizard had just slapped her across the butt with its tail!

"Your face is changing color!" he laughed, pointing at her, looking both amused and amazed. "Camoflauge..?"

"N-no, it's nothing," Kira grumbled. She pulled her hand away from her rump and turned, trudging off, then paused and fixed the adolescent with a stare. "...could you, um... point me in the direction of the dorms?"

"Huh? Oh sure! It's that way." His clawed finger pointed as he smiled from his reptilian face. Or at least, she thought it was a smile.

So, Kira smiled back at him. "Thank you." Once again, she started off, aware that he was following at a slight distance. It made her feel so awkward... He was probably staring at her extra furry ear.
