Rivener was coming closer as Delia lifted up to meet him, the two circling each other in a spiral. Rivener's teeth parted slowly as the basilisk came closer. He would destroy her. She had no chance. She was going to pay for everything! For slicing his wing, for ripping his arms, for stealing Zul's attentions! She would PAY!
Closer and closer the two Raevans got, until Rivener gathered himself tightly against the ceiling, ready to lunge. Every muscle in his strong Sigel body contracted and tensed. He was going to barrel into her, force her to the floor regardless of the snakes, and he was going to pump her full of the most corrosive, destructive venom he could produce! And if that didn't work, he'd bite her until she was nothing but bones!
With a roar the Scorpion prepared to launch himself at her.
A blast of ice-cold CO2 attacked them both instead.
Aphismet had hurried to the house and gave short blasts at the snakes in front of him. The creatures escaped from the immediate vicinity rather fast, after a few warning puffs of the extinguisher. Inside, the Sigel had been so focused he hadn't noticed his guardian's arrival and Aphismet let loose on the CO2, dousing both creatures and the surrounding snakes. The chef would continue until both Cordelia and Rivener were on the floor.
"Come on, please let this work," the white-haired man mumbled.

Claws and fangs at the ready, Cordelia circled her prey with feral intent. She was far beyond trying to communicate and reason with this pathetic insect. If she had feet, she would gladly crush him under the heel of her boots. Since that wasn't a possibility then, the Basilisk would just have to be satisfied with ripping him limb from limb with her bare hands. Or better yet she would coil around him and squeeze until his bones shattered, shredding his organs along with them.
Her malicious thoughts brought a crazed smile upon her lips as she lunged up towards the Scorpion. So focused on her foe the dark Frei hadn't noticed the human male coming back into the house and chasing her brethren off. She was so close, so close to ending this, ending him. And then before she even had a chance to sink her teeth into the Sigel, Cordelia felt the stinging pain of ice. A high pitched screech escaped her as the smokey girl fell back to the wooden floor with a loud thud.
The paralyzing hold on Ebony's muscles finally dissolved and the purple haired Brit fell off the car in surprise. She groaned and rubbed at her back, thanking her lucky stars that it was only a bruise she'd have to deal with then and not the venomous attacks of numerous snakes. Guess Aphi's cold barrage was more than they were willing to take for their queen.
That's when the blood curdling scream reached her and Ebony shot up, stumbling slight from having not used her muscles for so long, and jetted into the house. "APHISMET?! CORDELIA?! RIVENER?!"

Rivener was in no better shape than Cordelia. The fire extinguisher was so damned cold it sucked all the life out of him, leaving his arms so heavy and his mind so muddled... With a groan the Sigel had tried to grip onto the walls as he fell, but there was nothing to hold on to. The few paintings he'd managed to snag fell along with him, clattering to the ground beneath his form as he finally reached the floor.
Shuddering, Rivener curled in on himself like a dead spider, huddling in a tight little ball. The aggressive behavior, the poison-drunkenness all but vanished, and Riv could only utter a small whimper. He felt hurt, and it was hard to breathe! "Mnh! A-aphi..." He called, desperate for this to STOP.
Aphismet blasted the pair only until they were down, not wanting to hurt them more than he had to. Still, he kept his hands on the extinguisher, eyes warily darting between the two Raevans until Ebony ran into the house.
"We're fine, Ebs," Aphi replied to her concerned screams. "At least I think they're fine... We have to separate them, before they regain their strength. You keep the extinguisher handy just in case, okay?" The chef smiled weakly at his purple-haired friend.
It had been so hard not to rush to Rivener's side before now, but Aphi had to make sure the Scorpion wasn't going to attack... Now that it seemed safe, the white-haired man knelt and wrapped his arms around the stronger Raevan's shoulders. "Shhh, sorry Riv, I had to. C'mon, let's get you up."

Heat...pain...heat...pain...heat..heat..heat, she needed heat! Yet all the Snake could do was shiver violently on the floor, freezing hands desperately clutching at equally cold arms to try and gather some form of warmth in her. It did little to alleviate her condition, her teeth chattering slight as proof. She didn't speak, but sad grey eyes looked to the two humans then with a look very much pained and somewhat betrayed. Her eyes weren't the only thing to return to normal as her black rune flickered rapidly due to the tremendous amount of stress it was under at that exact moment.
"Thank the heavens..." Ebony sighed as she slowed her pace towards the trio, side stepping a few lingering snakes in the house. The Brit nodded and took the extinguisher with one hand while the other pulled at the Basilisk's collar to pull her as far away from Rivener then as possible. Cordelia didn't give any hint of struggling, still too weak and too cold to really care what her guardian was up to.
Once done, Ebony hunched down and chanced placing a hand to Delia's cheek, the smokey Raevan turning away to hide under her black bangs. Her cheek was of course ice cold, but Ebony hadn't been expecting it to be wet too. But why...that's when she realized the girl was crying. She'd never seen that before. The whole ordeal must have finally been too much for youth.
"Aphismet if you have a phone, would you please call the Lab? I don't know about you, but I can't wait for a cure anymore. I can't keep waiting for things to get worse. I'm taking Cordelia to Kyou right now." As if to emphasis her statement, the woman gathered the dark Frei in her arms and stood up. "Hopefully he'll be able to do something to keep her from getting into more fights at the very least."

Aphismet turned to glance at Ebony, and nodded at the mention of having a phone. "I have my cell, I'll call right now. I think I'm of the same opinion... Rivener's too dangerous to just leave out in the open anymore. I'll call Kyou right away." Aphismet kept one arm around Rivener and retrieved the cell from his pocket with his free hand.
He speed-dialed the lab and quietly began muttering into it as the pair of males moved towards the door. Ebony and Cordelia would most likely follow. With a clap Aphismet closed his phone and turned over his shoulder: "Kyou's aware that we're coming. He says there's a cure! Need a ride in my car? It's close enough, I doubt the Raevans will be picking more fights... right, Riv?"
"Ngh," was the Sigel's only answer, Rivener too busy huddling next to Aphismet's body warmth.

"If you don't mind, I'd really appreciate it." Ebony said heaving the fire extinguisher with her (just in case) while Cordelia clung to her desperately as she followed after the two. It was like having a living block of ice for a ward honestly, but until the girl was cured, Ebony couldn't take any chances when it came to heat. Hopefully her own body's wouldn't be enough to give her strength to want to fight more.
In another precautionary step, once in the car, the Brit made sure to blast Aphismet's AC despite the outside weather and stay in between the two Raevans, extinguisher at the ready in case either one got the notion of continuing their previous fight.
