"Just my family mostly." Also for Shylock but he couldn't buy something for his friend while he was there. Taylor would have to go out on a solo trip to get him a present later, his fingers fiddling with his seatbelt as he debated what he could even get Shylock that would be cool.

Shy smiled, "Well do you know what they like? I've just got Papa, Daddy and Nero. And Daddy's gonna let us go in some stores by ourselves so he isn't spying on our presents." the younger boy said cheerily.

" Well Nickle likes money and um stuff" Yeah he didn't much know a lot about the other male of the house other than that he was nice and worked a lot. Taylor'd never invested much time into hanging out with him except on movie nights. "Mareike like sports stuff and fighting things, Penny likes cute things and old stuff." The partially blond boy chewed on his lower lip "An Trinket is girly." He didn't see his twin as much anymore except recesses at school sometimes but she was still family
The pride spawn grinned at the idea of christmas shopping without any adults snooping to see what they were getting. " Sounds fun and I like that all the present will be secrets." Adults needed to not know everything and get surprises too.

Shylock snickered a little at the idea of someone called Nickle liking money, but kept that mostly to himself. "Come on, I'm sure there's a sporting goods store somewhere that we can find stuff for your big sister. She sounds the easiest to pick for."
Zane smiled, "Okay you two, I want you to meet me in the food court in an hour." he said, pointing up at a very large digital clock that could be seen all over the mall. "If you haven't found something by then, you can go back and look more afterwards."

Taylor had nodded at Shylock's father, they wouldn't be late he'd make sure, then turned back to his best friend. " Sure we can shop for Mareike first and then someone on your list." It was only fair after all and Taylor had always had a decent sense of fairness.

Shy grinned and nodded, "Sounds like a plan." he agreed, taking Taylor's arm and dashing off towards the sporting goods' store. Knowing the two of them, they'd need all the time to choose they could get.
The store was massive, with balls and guards and things for every sport. Shy stared a bit and scratched his head. "Do you know what she likes in these places?"

Taylor laughed and nodded "Yeah and I think I know what to get her too" he replied as he began to walks the aisles being careful not to hit things with his tail. Mare was picky about the Raquets she used and tended to replace them herself, she had enough tennis balls to last a while and he could never remember the type of tape she used either. On the other hand the back of the store had just given him an idea.
His sister's current gymbag was old and while it still worked it was clearly going to give up in the coming months and start looking really grungy instead of just frayed and mistreated. If he got her something new and really good now it should last a lot time even if she was pretty rough on her things.
The pebbly skinned boy gestured to the wall of sports equipment bags " One of those, something she can't break easily." Which of course meant it would be expensive but still.

Shy smiled, "That'd probably be good. Just remember to get her a really nice one, otherwise it'd seem like a sorta cheap gift." he pointed out. The information was mostly from a tv show he'd wandered in on his Papa watching about what was and wasn't a good gift.

Taylor nodded and looked at the assortment for while examining the quality and look of them until he found two he liked. " The blue and black one or the black and silver?' he asked wanting Shylock's opinion.

Shy thought. He'd seen pictures of Mareike before. "Isn't your sister funny colors? Blue and black'd probably be odd on her. Probably best to do the black and silver since that'll go with anything she wears and her skintone." the boy said with a nod. "The way you've told me she sounds like she doesn't care much, but it'd be rude to get your sibling something they might think is ugly or that makes them look odd for Christmas."

" Yeah she's form function over fashion, I don't think she knows a lot about colour matching herself," the pride boy admitted." But I wouldn't want to get her something what would make others think she looked odd." Mareike worked hard to be good at tennis and he'd hate to get her a gift that made others think badly of her before they even played her. Plus knowing her it;s be used for hauling stuff too and from the guard stuff as well so it was important it looked good.

"Then let's get her the black one and she can just think you got her the one that looked most sophisticated or somethin." Shylock commented with a nod and a grin, helping his friend get it off the rack.

Taylor took the bag and paid for it then lead Shylock from the store, only Mareike would have enjoyed something from a sporting goods place. With Shylock's help the other pride spawn managed to get his list finished while alternating with Shylock's so that no one's family got left out. All in all a successful shopping trip and fun day out with a friend as far as Taylor was concerned.
