He had no idea that his words meant so much to her, and he could only smile as genuinely as he felt. Well thank goodness. Rishy was going to be alright. She would find her way even along any dark paths. He was just so thankful that he could do something to make her feel better. That was what was most important!
"So what will you do now, Rishy?" he was curious, of course. Where would she go? Would she continue to search for strength and the will to overcome her darkest desires? "Just always remember who you are and what great things you are capable of. And hey, you also learned today that you like blue berries. Who would have guessed!" He giggled lightly and glanced at the berries once again. This was his first big interaction with someone completely new. And so far it had gone really well!

Rishy looked down at her paws. it was an odd feeling to have a direction in life, but to have no clue were to go. what was she going to do now? "Eckhardt, i dont know. you have given me quite a lot to think about, but i think the best thing to do is to keep on moving. that way no matter were my feet take me at least i know that ill be on the path of good."
she smiled at him. who knew that one person could change her thoughts so much. he had made it clear to her that she did not have to be the monster that everyone expected of her. she could be whoever she wanted to be and there was nothing wrong with that. "Eckhardt, can i have the honor of calling you my friend?" she had not meant to say that. it just slipped out, but the damage was done. "i mean, i dont mind if you dont want to be, i understand if you dont want to be friends with a skinwalker that is." the words were tumbling out now. Rishy hoped that she did not sound as foolish as she felt. having a friend was always a dream of hers. she envied the people who could claim the title of being a friend.

"Of course I want to be friends!" He couldn't believe she was nervous about asking him that. He had already considered her a friend within moments of their meeting! "You have the honor of being my very first friend. I think you will make a lot of other friends in the future too, Rishy." Being a Skinwalker wouldn't stop her. As long as she showed others what a kind and fun personality she had, there would be no problems at all.
"Just promise to always be you, kay?" the colt chuckled playfully and took a few more berries in delight. He really had such a nice time interacting with someone else. He had spent so much of his life being quiet that now that he had finally spoken he could forever admit that he loved it. He never realized how good it felt to help others, too. "I think I will continue to aid those I meet, you've really inspired me. See, I think you've given me great insight at what I really enjoy doing." They both found answers that truly mattered in their lives. How lucky was that! Growing up would be a breeze at this point.

Rishy sighed in reflief, and took another mouthful of berries. it really felt good to have a friend, and she knew that she would always be able to turn to Eck. she turned and faced him with a wide smile on her face. the prospect of starting her new life burned happily in her heart and she could not wait to get started.
"Eckhardt, im glad to have net you today, but i think it is time that i must go. i want to start my new life as soon as possible. like i said i dont know were i am going, but thanks to you i will go with a happy heart."
she looked around her deciding were to start. the forest looked most promising, so she stepped into the shadows of the trees. the way ahead was clear, so she took a few steps forward. she looked over her shoulder at Eckhardt and beemed brightly at him. "goodbye my new friend, i hope that are paths will cross again someday and i will be able to face you as a new person with nothing but good things to share." with that she dashed down the trail and out of sight. Rishy would never forget this day, and knew in her heart that she was forever changed by this fated meeting.

"I am so thankful to have met you as well. Have fun figuring everything out and be careful." Before he could comment further, he could only nod at his friend's proposal to move on with her life. He could be nothing but supportive for her, though thick and thin! As his friend started to leave the area, he could only shout behind her, "Good luck Rishy! I will look for you soon to see how things are!" When he'd grow in size he'd take the skies and search for her.
"Until next time..." Before he could finish, his friend was gone, but he was still very happy. What a great experience! He was just so pleased with what a great friend he had gained! He couldn't wait to run in to her again. Until next time indeed.
