To be honest, I don't want to imagine any of them having children right now. However, I did read an interesting fan fiction about Aang having to sleep with non-bending women to breed more Airbenders. He and Katara obviously were wed, and he asked her permission first. He only did it so there wouldn't be an end to Airbenders. I wasn't able to finish the story, but I did leave off with Katara pregnant with a baby boy, who Aang predicted would be an Airbender the night they conceived a child. The story is maturely written, and I liked it a lot. Besides that story, I once again claim that I can't imagine any of them having children right now, especially since they are all still young. [I know that one could be married at the age of 16 back then, but doing something like that now is wrong on so many levels for me.]

1. In order for Katara and Aang to have the next Avatar as their child, Aang would have to die before conception. and then, nine months later, Katara would give birth to her husband. Aang would be his own father through some sort of twisted technicality. see how impossible that is?

2. I think Toph and Sokka would have an awesome child, s/he'd be a sarcastic little snot. and if s/he would inherit Toph's brashness and Earthbending skills, plus Sokka's strategic abilities, s/he would be amazing in battle.

But there's possibility for Aang's grand children or great grand children to be Avatar. If Aang dies and the children stay in the water tribes, there might be an Avatar! So, how about that? If one of Aang's descendants just became an Air Nomad and marries a non-bender, there is hope for the Air Nomad population to increase.
