She gave her mother a determined look. "I will find them. I just know it." How she would accomplish this she really wasn't sure. It would be quite some time before she was old enough to leave the den and survive on her own. But that was okay, it would give her time to perfect her singing. She told herself that from now on she would listen closely to every story and everything said within the den, since one can never truly know what will or won't make a good song.
She rolled onto her stomach and nuzzled her mother. "I would miss you too if I left." Surely it would be lonely traveling away from her pack and more importantly her parents and siblings, but she was determined to meet others like her who enjoyed singing and so it would be a sacrifice she would have to make to do so.

"I am sure you will" Chiv answered her daughter, little Aleu was quite ambitious for her age - but Chiv thought of that as a good thing - it was good to have goals and purpose in life. She didn't want her sons and daughters spending most of their young lives wandering aimlessly like she had after all. Why if it hadn't been for running into Merrill and later Mene there was a goodly chance she would still be wandering and lonely.
"It's getting late" She told Aleu as she nuzzled her and pulled her closer to her warm fur, her siblings across the way had already fallen asleep "You should sleep"

"But I'm not..." she started but was interrupted by a yawn, "...tired." Well she hated to admit it but she was tired. And it certainly didn't help that her mother pushed her up against her soft, warm fur. Wiggling for a little bit she tried to fight sleep but it was a losing battle. She was very tired. Soon she found herself drifting off, the last sounds coming from her was a little humming before she finally fell asleep.
